I have two devices
1. Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830
2. Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i
If I am connecting the 1st device to the emulator then it gets connected and working fine as a debugger.
But If I am connecting the 2nd device to the emulator of the same Computer then it not getting connected to the emulator.
And on the notification of 1st device i.e. Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 looks like this:
where as on the second device i.e. Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i, The USB Debugging Connected notification is missing.
I have marked Setting ---> Application ---> Development ---> USB Debugging as Checked. Then to why I am getting this issue.
Please if any one know about this, then please let me know to resolve this problem. I want to use Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i as a debugging device.
No need to root the device, install google universal usb drivers from the SDK manager.

I am trying to get an emulated Galaxy S8 in GenyMotion to proxy all traffic through my Kali VM that has Burp suite (intercepting proxy) running. All tutorials say to just turn on wifi in the emulated phone and set the proxy settings there (and that is how I remembered doing it around a year ago). But I cannot turn on the WiFi in the emulated phone.
So the question is: does anyone know:
a. How to turn the WiFi on in an GenyMotion emulated Galaxy S8?
b. If a is not answerable: how to direct all traffic from the emulated phone to the proxy?
EDIT: Using a galaxy S5 emulated phone does work with wifi....
EDIT2: So it is a problem with GenyMotion and android 8.0 (as the galaxy s8 with android 7 does work with the wiredSSID wireless). I would still like to know how to set this up though! :D
I am facing a very strange problem on my mobile, I have turned on Debugging mode, but still when i try to connect it with laptop it is not showing any option, only it shows usb mass storage.
I am using Window 7 operating system and Mobile model is Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos
Thanks
Is your phone rooted? Install SAMSUNG USB Drivers for Mobile Phones http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1982287 your problem will be solved .
sounds like same issue as S3. try installing kies from samsung to install the drivers for it.
I was wondering if the sprint galaxy nexus supports the usb host mode? As stated here it is supposed to be available on android versions above 3.1. The galaxy nexus uses ice cream sandwich(version 4+) so it should have it. This video shows someone using the galaxy nexus with a usb mouse attached, so the stock galaxy nexus version should have this capability. I was just wondering if Sprint changed the kernel in someway that disabled the usb host mode functionality. This site states that the galaxy s from sprint has "Mass storage device, USB Host, USB charging" as a feature but for the galaxy nexus from sprint the only feature listed is "USB charging."
I only realized this might be a missing feature because when I tried to set up a small test app using the Usb host mode api no device that I connected was ever recognized. I tried pluggging the device in after device startup and before device startup. I was reading the logcat wirelessly as is defined here so I could moniter what would happen when I was plugging a usb device in and removing it. Logcat displayed nothing. Any explanation or links to other sites saying that the Sprint galaxy nexus does or does not support usb host mode would be much appreciated(only Sprint, I beleive Verizon does support it, but I have a Sprint test device). Thanks.
Stock Galaxy Nexus works for me with USB Host mode. Been able to use the Ant+ receiver with no problems.
I've been working with a small 2.2 API 8 phone (Samsung i5500) physically connected to PC with Eclipse without problem. Now I have access to a GalaxyTab 10.1 P7500 3.1 API 12 too, but Eclipse only finds my old phone and not the GalaxyTab. I have made identical settings on the Tab as on the Phone: Applications - Development and select USB debugging. I've tried both connected and one at a time. I've restarted Eclipse. Is there something more I need to do?
If I change project Build Target Level to 12, still only the API-level 8 phone shows up.
The GalaxyTab doesn't give me a KIES prompt when I connect the USB, but the phone does. However, the tab says itself that USB debugging is activated and Windows reacts when I connect its USB. But the Android Device Chooser in Eclipse knows nothing about it.
The GalaxyTabs battery does not charge when it is connected to my PC by USB, but the phones battery does charge.
you might need to download the corresponding driver for the Galaxy Tab. I had to do this when I tried connecting my Galaxy Nexus.

I've been learning android development and been trying to get the app on my samsung galaxy tablet but have been having some problems. I have the device connected to my computer and i can access it thought the substandard samsung app and through explorer but when i try to send the app to the device using eclipse it just defaults to the emulator.
My pc is running windows 7, i have the android and galaxy tab packages installed on eclipse and i also have the device set up with type of galaxy tab.
When i plug in my HTC Desire it works perfectly fine and i can view apps on the device, it just seems to be the galaxy tablet.
Anyone else had this problem or know of any solutions?
Thanks a lot, been frustrating me for ages now.
The developer tools for Samsung Galaxy tab, including drivers are here. This may be what you need, for your work.
