How can installed Adobe flash player 10.1 on Android simulator 2.2?
Hi sujay1407 until now thats not possible, I asked directly to a google engineer, necessarily needed an android device with hardware and software required for Flash Player 10.1

Here you can download APKs for various versions of Android. They also install properly on the emulator, however I don't know if they actually are able to run.

edit: nope, it installs but does not seem to work. I've just tested http://www.adobe.com/swf/software/flash/about/flashAbout_info_small.swf on emulator and empty black page showed up.

I am developing an AIR app for mobile devices which needs to access the video camera. So far it works great on iOS but on my Google Nexus 7 device the app crashes shortly after activating the video camera. I have set up the correct permissions and can access the 'front' camera on the device. Sometimes i see a quick flash of the video image which i add to the stage but then the app crashes and returns to the google nexus screen.
I am using -
Adobe AIR 3.6.0.6090 SDK
AS3 (obviously)
Google Nexus 7 running android 4.2.2
Has anyone noticed this behaviour? Is there anything I can change or is this an android / air bug?
cheers
I think that this was only happening because I was remotely debugging the app. When I ran the app without the remote debugger it worked fine. video loaded and showed ok. Left this question here incase it saves anyone some time working out a similar problem :-)

Android emulators that:
Start quickly. Run smoothly. Are lightweight.
Match every current OS version & screen size.
Are accessible from your browser.
An Android emulator is included in the Android SDK. Using this emulator you can mimic the hardware of a device. OS modifications made by the device vendors are not included in this emulator.
From what i know there is Blackberry Eclipse Plugin ...

Maybe it helps
The android emulator is included for the SDK, http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
You may want to take a look at this thread -> Samsung Galaxy s3 emulator settings . It mentions configurations to setup the Galaxy SIII emulator, and also other related configurations.
from Android Studio v2.4 some of AVD supports Google Play. You can use a native tool because they are much more better than previously
I copied a tutorial like the simple Hello World App which I followed and created to try features on in Flex 4.6. It work it the emulator with the Flash Flex 4.6 software but when it cam to using / testing the simple App on a real phone there was a problem.
it installed on the HTC Wildfire S but when it came to running the app, there was a error with the following.
"The application HelloWorld(process air.HelloWorld has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again"
I am new to Flex but this error is making things harder, It seems this is a unknown error the code seem to be all correct I checked it with the tutorial.
The HTC That I tested on has the following os
Android version 2.3.5
Software number 2.13.206.1
Kernel version 2.6.35.10
Do you know any common reason for this error, the firmware is the latest 2.3.5
Thanks
If i could i would just comment this, but anyways...
I have few working Flex mobile apps which i tested on android devices. Yesterday i only had my friends HTC sense 2.3.3 (which i didnt used before) available for testing. None of my working AIR apps did work on that phone. I am always using captive runtime. App size is usually around 10 mb apk, and 20 mb when installed (even small hello world app always have about 20mb when installed with captive runtime). Strange thing is, that apps on HTC sense had only 10 mb after being installed - so there was clearly some problem with deploying captive runtime...
If your hello world works on flash builder simulator, then its probably some problem with device.
You should try another devices.
You should also check, if your app size is around 20mb...
I gone thorough the adobe flash builder video tutorials and did the same thing to create an application for android device, but when i run the application it is showing Sorry dialog box saying that, The application Test1-debug(process air.Test1.debug) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. I tried many times but it is not working. Initially i thought no Adobe-AIR in my device, but it is there. I am using Reliance 3G Tab. I don't why it is not working, if anybody know this please reply me.
One more thing, i downloaded one APK (which is designed with adobe flash or flex) file from http://coenraets.org/blog/2010/05/sample-application-using-flex-and-air-for-android/ and installed on my android device. When i run that application only blank screen is appearing, but in video they shown, it is working. Why it is happening like this?? Is any problem with my tablet ?? or application ?? or adobe AIR not installed properly on device ?? Like this i am getting too many doubts. If anybody know about this or anybody working with adobe flash applications for android devices, please reply me.
Thanks
i am sorry for above posted question, because i thought Reliance 3GTab using ARM V7 CPU but its not. Actually for Adobe AIR minimum requirement is ARM V7 CPU, so that my application is not running.
But I had good reason to post my question. Why because.........
In my tablet Adobe AIR has been installed by Adobe Flash builder while downloading the application. After launching the application its showing a dialog box with message your application has stopped unexpectedly.
I thought Adobe AIR was not properly installed. so I checked installed applications on my tablet, its showing Adobe AIR icon there.
Then I uninstalled Adobe AIR and launched application, now its showing a dialog box with message no Adobe AIR found, so i tried to install Adobe AIR from Android Market. Its showing Your device is not suitable for this product, then I checked Adobe AIR requirements. Finally i got the answer why my application is not running.
I bought an Android phone to use Flash. But to my surprise, Flash does not run on Android devices with arm v6. But I do want to make something useful and develop for it. Does it need to be "unlocked" for this purpose?
Not at all, you can develop Android applications on any Android device. Just make sure that if you want to make use of Google APIs that it's a device that supports those APIs. Also, you'll need to enable development under Settings --> Development (I believe, the location actually varies depending on the version).
Nope, just download the SDK and go. All current phones (that I know of) allow you to do debugging on-device.
If you are developing using the Android SDK or NDK, any phone with Android Market is required to be able to be used as a developer device. If you are trying to develop IN Flash, then you will need a phone capable of Flash (Motorola Droid, any Snapdragon or better processor device) but on Android I don't believe there is a way to package a Flash app onto the device, and the Flash app is always run in the browser.
