I have problem with my app.
When I launch it with ddms (directly on my nexus S) the app works, but when I install it on my device, and launch it, I just have a white screen
Anyone have idea about the problem ?
(furthermore, the app works fine on a 2.1 android phone)

I have a user that has the identical phone to mine, Samsung Galaxy 5S. I download my app and install it to my phone just fine, app works as its supposed to. When my user downloads it, it appears to install correctly but when she opens the app she sees the splash screen and then the screen goes blank.
Identical phones, same version of the app...but because the app is compiled already I can't troubleshoot the app on her phone via Chrome Inspector.
How else can I troubleshoot what is going on here...I am worried its my app causing this but since its installing on my phone and others just fine I am hoping its just something specific to her phone.
I am trying to debug my application on my phone. I looked around and tried to replace drivers and so on but still can't get my device to show in the run menu.
The weird thing is that I see my device when I click on Tools->Android->Android Device Monitor and it looks to be online. I can capture the screen of my phone and all but still can't debug anything on it.
The odd thing is that I can see my device when typing in cmd adb devices but VS2015 will not show my device.
BTW the device is a Nexus 6p
Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?
I am developing an android camera app. Whenever i open the app the camera opens normally then after a few seconds most of the times it hangs and ultimately the emulator shows not responding after a while. Very rarely it operates normally when i open the app. Not only my custom camera app but i tested the default emulator camera, it also hangs after a while when it is opened. I don't know what is happening wrong. On real devices my camera works fine. So the issue is not with the app but the camera of my emulator.
It is a bug with certain versions of the emulator. For example, camera app hangs on emulator version 29.3.2.0 (build_id 6083285) regardless of the whether it's emulated or set to Webcam0, but works fine on 29.2.1.0 (build_id 5889189).
I have the same issue but only on one of my laptops. It seems someting is connected with computer graphic card.
Try to change paramather Automatic with Software-GLES 2.0 in AVD manager-emulated perfromance. IT's slower but it works.
I'm a bit confused as to how testing on a real Android device works. I hooked up my device (Samsung Galaxy S4) and set the app to run on it, and it works fine. Then I make some changes, and click 'Run' again... but that just brings up the old copy of the app (prior to my changes). Currently the only way I know how to get the updated version of the app on my device for testing, is to manually uninstall the app via Settings before clicking 'Run' again.
Is there a way to shortcut this process and have my updated copy of the app replace the old copy each time I run it?
So I've made this game for android-phones, that runs perfectly fine on my emulator. The problem is that when i try to run it on my phone, it just turns back to the in-app menu when i try to launch the game - I don't get any error messages.
Any tips on why this happens, and how I can possibly fix it.
btw. The phone I am using is HTC Desire
Update:
I tried testing it on an SIII. Here I got a crash message instead.
The android emulator, and the HTC Desire runs Android 2.2 while the SIII runs Android 4.0
