I published my first app about an hour ago and I can't find it. I realize it probably takes a while before it'll show up in a search, so I tried linking to it by name using:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ca.rcp.signals
No sign of it.
Any suggestions??
It's called "Canadian Railway Signals".
I realize this question is similar to others that have been posted, except in the other cases linking to their apps directly worked.
The link you provided works for me. You just had a to wait a few more minutes.
From the Publishing Checklist:
Within a few hours, your app will become available to users and your product page will be appear in Google Play for browsing, searching, or linking from your promotional campaigns.

I've searched everywhere and even raised a support request with Google, but nothing helped so far. The Google support person didn't even understand the question and just wasted my time.
1. There seems to be a lot of confusion on this question. Here are some of the suggestions I've seen on SO which seem to come from an epoch when "pause track" wasn't available in the universe:
Remove all countries except one in which you don't expect any users (Didn't try)
Upload an empty APK to the Open Testing track (Not sure if this works in 2021)
Remove all testers (no option to do this in 2021 on Open Testing track)
2. But I went ahead and pressed the formal "pause track" button in Open Testing.
I took this route because the button is there and seems to tell me it's the right thing to do in 2021.
3. My question is as follows
Once the Open Testing track is paused, will old users' new reviews be visible in public? Will new users' reviews be visible in public?
4. A little bit of history to help you answer my question
We launched under the Open Testing track and got a lot of good reviews and ratings.
After several months we uploaded a new APK to the Production track and the Open Testing track got automatically moved to "Inactive". So far so good.
Our test users upgraded to the production app and started giving us reviews and ratings. But they are all ending up as "Testing Feedback", i.e., invisible to the public. So we have 0 public reviews.
Then I found out that I should pause the Open Testing track. I have paused it just this morning and the change is awaiting review. I will update when the review is done.
I'm asking my question in #3 above because I don't any longer believe Google understands Google Play better than Stackoverflow users.
There is no relation between your open testing and reviews,
if your app is live in-store anybody can review it, no matter you have paused the testing or not.
Five days ago, my app was published by Google. With direct link everything works fine, but if I search the app with the exact title, the app is not shown in the results, not even if I scroll all the way down. It's not an app compatibility issue with my devices, it cannot be found as well on anonymous browser sessions.
Few month ago, I developed a similar app, which can be found nicely. I double checked everything, they are almost the same. I have no idea why my new app is not shown in results and there is no Google contact I could ask this.
Works fine if you search for "Bitcoin Node Observer" at this
link
Not listed in result search for "Bitcoin Address Observer"at this
link
Any help appreciated. Thank you!
Did you try searching it by it's app package name?
I have checked the given links and both of those lead to different apps from the same publisher
Seems like you have published the app recently, it generally takes 4-8 days for the app to be indexed.
Try using better SEO for the app to be listed better.
Refer this link for more about app indexing.
It's listed now... 8 days later.
The name of my App is Gestión Escáner. I search "Gestión Escáner" (without quotes) and I see a lot of apps less mine. I have another app in published and if I go into it in the store I can access to the creator (Me) and then see my 2 apps (Gestión Horario and Gestión Escáner) witch I couldn't find in the searcher.
Is ridiculous that I search my app by it name and I found nothing. I published the app 2 days ago and in the web page Google says that the publishing take as maximum 24 hours.
My app is published, it can be checked in the Google Play Console, and in the Google Play Store (if you know how to exactly search it).
There is a Google failure or something? I can't reach understand why I cannot find my App by its name.
I want to specify that there no exists another application with the same name as mine.
Thanks a lot for the help.
The time of 4 to 24 hours is the time to get app published.
After the app has been published, it needs to be indexed by google to be visible in the search. Also, the search results also depend upon the ASO(App Store Optimization). Sometimes, you can't see your app even with the full name without that. Make sure your Title/Description convey the idea.
You can read the following links App visibility & discovery issues and Get discovered on Google Play search
I released my first android app yesterday, and got the direct link to the app working after 6 hours. But Its been > 24 hours now, and it still doesnt show up in the search on playstore.
I have been searching in the playstore both from my android device, as well as from desktop browser. The app simply isnt there.
Is this common? Is there something I can do to check the status/find out whats happening?
Thanks a lot
EDIT: the direct link is: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.droidinput
EDIT: The issue was indeed that the name "Droid Input" was too general. Changed it to Moused . Hopefully it makes it a tad better once the update is pushed to prod. Thanks for all your help!
Sometimes newly published apps take time until they appear in search results. The app needs to be indexed in the Play Store before it starts appearing in search results. Also, make sure the app name has enough unique keywords so that it's easier to spot while searching.
All my apps were searchable minutes after the direct link started working. Can you post the name of your app.
Check those in Developer console
published area
minimal Android os
make sure it's published in developer console
If it's all right, don't worry, just wait to published
If your app have any problem google will send email to you
First of all,
you must check if you have no other updates,
second check if the website is not under going several changes if so than you might have to wait a couple of days
check your device for any out of the normal activity
if this is not resolved make sure to contact the company and explain them your issue,
regularly it shouldn't be happening to only you so there might be others with the same issue as you, it is unlikely that it could be your device but there is always that possibility that it might.
Don't know if it's ok to ask this question here, but I didn't know where to ask it...
I have made an app with an ad from AdMob. It works just fine, showing up in the app and everything. The problem is when I want to link my app in the AdMob interface, my app is not showing when I search the market.
But I know that it's actually on the market because I can find it when searching on play.google.com.
This is what I want to do. It says Link your app!
Anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?
Thanks!
It is this part that I have a problem with:
At the red arrow, where it says "Find your app in the search..." My app is not showing in the search result, but I know that it is on the market!
You need to wait a little bit more after publishing your app because AdMob indexes Play store and iTunes about every 48h.
My app took 2+ days to show up in Admob. Wait, it will show up.
If your app name is a bit too common (like mine was "memes") - I would recommend to search by developer name. Admob will try to list all apps of that developer.
Instead of APP name if you provide Developer name ,then it will show of list all APPs by the developer. Then select your required APP [which was not listed when searched].
Enjoy !!!!
I've been able to resolve it today by pasting the full AppStore URL to that search field.
If your App is published and available in the US region, this should probably work. Note that it may take up to 24 hours for the app to be visible on AppStore after releasing.
Make sure you publish the app for release. If your app is still in Beta it will not show up.
If you face issue linking your app and it takes more than 2 weeks you can contact google adMob team on google groups
Group name : Google Mobile Ads SDK Developers
Make sure you post your app details on the above group. My app was pending for 55 days and once I raised they have added my app in 24 hours.
I have to contacted the Google Mobile Ads SDK Developers group and they quickly fixed the issue for me. Now everything works!
Tip: If you didn't find your app by the name, try the following options:
the app's AppStore URL, for example: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/spotify-discover-new-music/id324684580
the app's store ID, for example: id324684580
the publisher name, for example: Spotify Ltd.
I had the same issue. I tried searching using the App Name, it did not show. I also tried entering the full App store url and it did not work either. So to resolve it, I did this:
Went to App Store Connect -> General -> App Information -> View on App Store
Copied only the last 2 part of the URL https://apps.apple.com/us/app/COPIED_THE_REST_FROM_HERE.
Went to AdMob and pasted the section of the URL that looks something like this: spotify-discover-new-music/id324684580.
After that it worked. If the App was just released, please wait atleast 24 hours so the App listing in the store is updated.
