Android App submission Approval Time [closed]
(2 answers)
Closed 9 years ago.
I've tried googling the question but i can't really find a result. It may be due to the fact that it's just not there ofcourse. However, what I was wondering is: If you submit an app to the Google Play store is there a review-time in which Google reviews the app to approve or deny the app to the store? And if there is; What is the average waiting time?
Thanks in advance,
There is no review time for Google Play. Any and every app can be published.
Keep in mind though that it can take several hours for your app to go live on the marketplace, and even longer for it to be indexed in search results and added to your developer page.
EDIT: As of 2015, apps are now reviewed by the Google Play Store Team. However, it still takes less than a day for the app to go live, usually between 6-12 hours.

I have created an internal release of an Android app on the Google Play console. When I copy the opt-in link and paste it into the browser, and then click the link to install the app, I get this Not Found page.
According to the Play Console, the Internal Testing Track is not active, but it's been 5+ days.
Here's what's not the problem:
All the app details are filled in, and the Play Console says the app is available to internal testers
I am logged into a Google account that is on the internal testers list
The release is over five days old, so it should be done processing
The opt-in link is available
The answer is that 48 hours may be considered typical, but my internal test was not ready until a full week after its upload to the Play Console. During that week, I put in a ticket with Google developer support, but never got a response. My recommendation is to wait for a week, and then put in a support ticket if it's still not up by then, and hope they respond.
Same issue - our app wasn't available after 48 hours, so I reached out. I quickly got this reply, which is unfortunate:
Hi,
Thanks for contacting Google Play Developer Support!
Please note that your app submission to the internal test track is still processing which is the reason it's not accessible via it's opt-in link yet.
Due to adjusted work schedules at this time, we are currently experiencing longer than usual review times. While the situation is currently evolving, app review times may fluctuate, and may take 7 days or longer.
Moving forward, we recommend you adjust your planning to account for this and avoid resubmitting, as each update or change to your app will cause the review process to start over from the very beginning. We understand the inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience and understanding.
If you have any other questions about using the Play Console, please let me know and I’ll be happy to help.
Regards,
Suraj

Wow! I am on day 4 now and my app is still "being reviewed"... The Internal Testing Url is still not working... My app got rejected because of some wording in my description that violated their content policy. The reason for rejection was very vague and didn't say what it was. I cleaned up anything/everything including the term "youtube videos" and saved it. So when they emailed me the "rejection" email (Day 2) I went and checked the Google Play Console and it still said being reviewed and didn't mention anything about the rejection...
Google needs to overhaul that entire system because it is virtually un-usable! They may as have have used white text over a white background! Geesh!
My iphone app review process with Apple was done in 2 days! Much better experience!
App releases on the Internal testing track may or may not be subjected to a review. If it is the first release on the track, it is very likely to be reviewed. Reviews can take days or minutes, and from experience, it is best to plan for about 7 days (safest side) in the app review process in Play Store.
Google PlayStore does not provide expedited review like Apple AppStore does. PlayStore's Internal testing track also has nitty-gritty details in its working, which I never found any documentation for, and had to learn them the hard way.

(Disclaimer: I wrote this post after facing various hurdles when getting my latest app through Play Store)

Android app no longer available on Google Play

Closed 2 years ago.
Currently, my application disappeared from google play store.
In spite of previously being available.
There is no app update.
No warning dialog.
No configuration change.
No warning email.
Status in google play console "Published and All updates are live 6 days ago"
google play search result: We're sorry, the requested URL was not found on this server.
Is there any issues or any suggestions ?
So actually, when you publish an app or update, they let you know how long the review process should take before your changes can go live. If your update is taking longer than they have estimated and you still haven’t seen your changes on Google Play, troubleshoot your specific issue below.
for more info you can see in the website:
https://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/answer/9042516?hl=en
the application is probably waiting for approval
I think this is a Google bug. Re-post the application. This will help.

I published an app on play store, it shows pending publication since 3 days and now I updated with new version code, why my taking this much of time and this is my first app please help me
When you select timed publishing, your update needs to be processed before it can go live. Processing takes up to a few hours.
When your update is processed, you'll see a Go live button. When you select Go live, you'll make the update available on Google Play within a few minutes.
Tip: Timed publishing can be helpful if you want to publish an app update at a specific time for an ad campaign, launch event, or to coordinate a new APK release with changes to your app’s store listing or distribution.
Important notes about timed publishing
Timed publishing is only available for updates, not when publishing an app for the first time.
For certain developer accounts, we’ll take more time to thoroughly review your app(s) to help better protect users. You’ll receive a notification on your app's Dashboard about how long this should take. We recommend that you adjust your planning to include a buffer period of at least three days between submitting your app and going live.
You can't revert changes made in timed publishing mode. This is particularly important when publishing new APKs and managing APK version codes.
If you make changes to your app's In-app products page, update prices, or add release notes to your app’s “What’s new in this release?” section while you're in timed publishing mode, they'll be published immediately.
All other updates, including updates submitted using the Google Play Developer API, will be published only after you click Go live.
It can take up to 7 days now. Got this response from Chip at Google Play Developer Support, Please also note that even internal testing won't be available.
Thank you for contacting Google Play Developer Support regarding your pending review for your internal test track for your app com.mutualtransferapp!
This is a known issue with the opt-in url being available before the internal test track review is completed.
Our engineering teams are working on resolving this issue and we sincerely apologize for the confusion caused.
Please refrain from submitting any new updates and check back on December 30th to access your internal test.
I uploaded my application into Google Play Store 12 hours ago. Still, I cannot see my application, I also checked with package name like "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.package.name"
Is there any more search options?
I know this is a common problem and general answers are be patiance and refresh the page, but I also have another question.
Before releasing your app, as you know Play Store asks which countries do you want to publish. Is there any disadvantage for chosing all countries? I am started to think it is still not in store because I chose all countries.
12 hours passed, started to worry. My development page says it's released. So still waiting.

Publishing an App on Google Play
Like two hours ago i uploaded and published my android application. But my application isnt available on Google Play. Im really worried because i cant find it using direct link with my app package name. (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.xxx.xxx)
My package name begins with "com.", is that fine ?
Im searching my app from pc btw. On my dev page i see my app is available for 1600+ devices.
My apk file is "active" and all other required fields im filled(like pic and description).
It can take more than a couple days for the app to be found by all devices.
Nothing to worry. Try.

You need a couple of hours for it to show. I remember mine took 5hours. Some other apps could take days.
