I have set up mitmproxy on Ubuntu, and have linked my android device to it. I can view traffic coming from the android browser but when I launch an app, it does not show me any traffic from the app (any app it seems), even though the app is connecting to the internet. What am I doing wrong?
The mitmproxy command I am running is ~mitmproxy --host
This is probably because of SSL pinning read about it here or it could be that the app is ignoring the Android proxy settings, but most likely SSL pinning from my experience
http://docs.mitmproxy.org/en/stable/certinstall.html#certificate-pinning

I would like to build something like which apkmirror.com does.
My query is how does apkmirror gets apks ? and is there a way or even a system design which allows us to download/extract an apk from playstore directly ?
Please don't comment any 3rdparty websites :)

I had automated the android emulator with ADB (Android Debugging Bridge) and using the ADB itself the APK is copied to host machine.
I am building a NodeJS based package for this which will be soon released in npm.
Thanks!

When I am visiting Android web messages https://messages.android.com/ it gives me Pairing Error. After clicking on OK button same error message comes again. Any idea how to solve this Pairing Error?
FYI: This is a new feature for Android Messages to send text message from Web. Same feature is available on WhatsApp
I had this same issue; it was caused by a rogue Chrome extension. Try disabling some of your extensions. Mine was caused by an extension called "Referer Control". It was also preventing me from sending Hangouts messages.

There is no file explorer that comes with the Nexus 5, and when I try to copy the APK into the downloads folder I do not see it on the Nexus 5 UI.
Send it to the email address associated with that device, as an attachment. You will be able to open the attachment and install the apk.
Developer mode doesn't need to be on, but you may need to enable installing from non-trusted sources.

I am using Ubuntu operating system. I have installed eclipse with recent version of android plug in (kitkat). But my virtual device is not connecting to Internet. I am using wifi Internet so how can I connect it to wifi ?
I think Data Connection is disabled in your Emulator. You can enable it by pressing F8. Once you done it, It will show you 3G icon in the title bar of emulator.

Could you please help me: is it possible to set proxy settings in Android (especially in Chrome)? I have to change IP on Android during the testing. Or there is some soft which can help me to solve this issue...
Found one solution for WIFI (works for Android 4.3, 4.4):
Connect to WIFI network (e.g. 'Alex')
Settings->WIFI
Long tap on connected network's name (e.g. on 'Alex')
Modify network config-> Show advanced options
Set proxy settings
