Services that update Google Play Store Apps - android

I am an Android developer and was planning to upload my first android app on the play store.
Being an android user for the past 4 years, I noticed that some apps update differently. I saw that some apps like Facebook, Instagram and other top apps only download 50-60% of their original size while updating.
I don't know about other apps, but I want to know that is there any different format in which I have to upload the app so that my downloaders don't have to download the full app(around 12 MB).
Thanks in advance.

Google play console not showing app statistics nor show up when i search it in playstore

I have already published few app on Google Play, and they showed after hour or 2 on google play store when i searched for same words. But it has been 25 hours i published my app which also got 100+ download because of reddit but its not showing up when i search the exact same words.
And also google play Console (both in app and on website) is not updating the data/statistics about the app except in app which only shows 197 download but not other.
And here is what i did different from my other app, this time i choose target audience adults and also 9+ which comes under the children section and i did provide privacy policy for it.
Any clues why the statistics/data is not updating or why the app is not showing when searching on Google Play Store?
Expect at least 2 weeks before your new app is listed in the rankings.
Then it depends where the algorithms placed your app.
You get no statistics because nobody is able to find your app in the play store.

Android App Release Questions

I had some doubt regarding android app release,
please respond me as soon as possible.
1. How long it will take for app review in google play ?
2. How soon my app will appear in play store after review ?
3. Can i update my app while app is being reviewed ?
4. How can let the user know about app supporting android OS ?
Google Play doesn't review your app prior to release really like Apple does, so it's very rapid, like 2 to 3 hours after you submit the app.
See above: your app will appear in Google Play Store 2 to 3 hours after you submit it to Google Play.
If you're really that quick, sure!
Wut? If you mean the Android Level supported y your app, that information goes in the manifest.xml and Google Play Store will check for compatibility with the device before allowing the user to download.
Releasing through Google Play Store is extremely easy! Good luck!
How long it will take for app review in google play?
Usually just a few hours, there is no fixed amount of time, in my experience about 6 hours was the maximum
How soon my app will appear in play store after review?
There will be no separate update to inform you that the review is done, its all seamless you publish the app, google will review and put it on playstore.
Can i update my app while app is being reviewed?
Yes, google will just stop the review for your previous apk(? not sure about hopefully someone will correct me on this), but most certainly they will start the process flow of their review process to the latest apk you uploaded
How can let the user know about app supporting android OS?
If your app isn't supporting some android OSes, then your app wont be available in the play store for that OS, but they will still see your app in the web, but when they try to install the app on their device through web, incompatible device error will be shown
EDIT
Will review process held for each app update?
yes every apk upload will go through the review process flow

Is there any way to download an app beyond Play Store?

I've published an app and I have a theoric doubt. In my google play administrator page, it shows me that my app was downloaded by 18 devices, but when I look at the google analytics, on the same period, I have over 100 devices.
I've looked for other links on Google, but every link that I found redirects to Google Play, so Google Play should count it. Is there any way to download the app from google play, and then, get the apk?
The funniest part is that I didn't spread this app and when I look at the place of the users, it's from India, Sudan, etc..(I'm from Brazil, the other side of the world)..
Yes there is a way. Apk can be downloaded from Google Play and than shared as file somewhere else. These downloaded apks are disributed commonly in these countries like India etc.
For example there is an extension to it for chrome https://lekensteyn.nl/apk-downloader/.
So I would say your Google Analytics data are valid.
Is there any way to download the app from google play, and then, get the apk?
Sure. Copying the APK off of a device is not that difficult. In addition, software pirates bulk download pretty much everything uploaded to the Play Store and make it available from their own sites.

Android apps total installs option is not showing on google play android app

I have published my android app yesterday but neither total installs are showing on my android app google play page nor other people are able to search it on Google using my app name for example: if other people's app name is hello-app if they will search it on Google by "hello app Google play" it will show it on Google but when I am searching it using my app's name its not showing on Google. The thing is that people are downloading it, rating it, and writing review of it but still no downloads are showing here is the link of my android app on Google play
Your statistics will show up but you need to be a bit more patient. Statistics are refreshed once a day so it may take over 24 hours for your first statistics to display.
Ability to download your app is not affected so no need to worry.

Usage statitics of Google Play: phone app VS website

I am considering hiring a graphic designer to create a high res (1 024 x 500) "promotional" image for my app.
From my experience (browsing through other apps), I noticed that this kind of image is only shown in full size on the web version of the Google Play store.
In order to get a better feeling of what the ROI could be, I would really like to know what percentage of app downloads is made through Google Play website (VS. through the regular Android mobile app).
Is this figure public ?
Did you manage to get some stats by tracking the download origin from your own apps ?
From my experience (application with 300 000 downloads), less than 5% of the downloads come from Google Play website. I don't know about public figures, I got this data by tracking the Google Play installation referrers (utm_source=google is Google Play website).
This doesn't give me an exact count, because there are installs without referrers, but it helps getting a general idea.
Of course, what is valid for my app is maybe not for you. I'd say that the more people can find your Google Play page from Google search using keywords, the more you'll have downloads from the webpage. Most people browse the app store directly from their device.
