Android Studio - Device Offline - android

I am having a small issue with Android Studio. Whenever I put my phone into either of the front two USB ports, it shows my device as "Offline". If I use any of the back USB ports, it recognises the device perfectly fine.
I can charge and browse my phone fine from the front two USB ports. I have tried resetting ADB, and installing/updating Samsung USB drivers. I have tried enabling and disabling USB debugging - but no luck.
It really can't be an issue with the phone or with Android Studio, as in the back USB ports it works fine - surely it has to be an issue with the front USB port?
Anybody have any ideas on how I could solve this? (Other than just using the back ones!)

I have the same problem. I have 4 USB 3.0 ports on the computer and 2 USB 2.0 on the keyboard. Nexus 5 can be plugged and recognized on all of them while Samsung Galaxy S4 is not recognized on one of the keyboard ports and one of the PC ports. In my case it is the device I guess. You can try with another device to see.

You can try this:
Go to tools/enable adb integration and uncheck it.
now check it and run again. Next time, android studio will restart adb and it may find your device.

Android Studio Device Offline While Plugged In

I have tried EVERYTHING I could find on this but still no solution.
I have a Samsung s6 edge Plus 32 GB. I am trying to deploy an app on Android Studio but it always shows the device as offline. What I have tried
Unplugging and plugging back
Restarting device
Enabling debugging on device
Shuffled and tried different transfer protocols
Installing and Uninstalling Samsung drivers
Checking 'Enable ADB integration' under Tools -- Android
Checking android studio & driver updates
Any help will be greatly appreciated
This happens sometime, even when USB Debugging is on. Try this:
Go to Settings->Developer Options
Search for Revoke USB Debugging Devices
Revoke all existing devices
Disable USB Debugging and enable it
Now connect your phone to system with USB cable
Wait, and a dialog will appear on your phone, for permission to allow for USB Debugging. Click on checkbox and press Allow.
Now the device should appear online in Android Studio.
If problem still persists, then problem is with your phone drivers installed on system.
This happens to me regularly (I use multiple devices) and one of these two things always fixes it:
Make sure your device has "only charge" selected in the dropdown menu entry that appears when you connect your phone. Instead select "transfer files".
Disable and enable usb debugging.
Change your device cable or change your connection USB port on PC. I think this problem is hardware problem. Try other hardware problem possibilities.

Unable to connect ADB to Android Marshmallow (6.0.1)

I'm on a MacBook running macOS Sierra and I'm having trouble connecting Android Studio to the phone. The phone is a Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) running the latest update - Android 6.0.1.
I've tried listing the devices using the command adb devices, but the list is empty.
When I connect the device I can hear a tone and the phone is charging. I do not get a notification when connecting the device, hence trying to tap on the notification and somehow forcing an MTP connection is impossible.
I've already activated the Developer Options and the USB configuration mode is set to MTP (Media Transfer Protocol). When trying to cycle through the available USB modes, if the phone is connected to the computer, it always reverts back to MTP automatically.
Trying to turn off and back on the USB debugging, or the Developer options didn't work. Also restarted both the phone and the computer but nothing changed.
Does anyone have a clue of what is going on?
From my research, the only thing that seems to have worked for other people is to tap the notification that is supposed to appear when I connect the phone to the computer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I presume that the cable is broken or just plainly wrong. Changing the cable should help.

How to Connect Samsung Galaxy GT-N8000 with android studio

I have samsung galaxy note 10.1 and model GT-N8000, I want to connect it to android studio and want to run my own made app. But my android studio not showing anything and even pc do not detect it , not even popping up notification to show me that some thing is connected. I check this device to other computers but got same thing.
So what could be a problem. I have done resetting , but nothing is helpful, Updated driver, installed the google driver for usb, installed the universal driver. But nothing is really helping. So at least pc should detect it but its not.
Any solution. ? Please help
Make sure, that you chose Connect as Camera or PTP on your phone.
Go to developer settings and activate Adb-debugging or USB-debugging.
Also check, whether you have installed the correct drivers. Try to reinstall the correct drivers.
And make sure that neither your USB cable nor your USB-drive is faulty. If so try to use another cable and different usb-drive.
You could also try to connect your phone wirelessly to Android Studio
Couple of things you can try -
Go to settings, developer options and turn USB Debugging on. If it's off, Android Studio will not detect your phone.
If you PC is not detecting your device, either your USB cable is faulty or your USB drive. Only way to know is connect your phone to another USB-Drive or connect it using another cable.

Eclipse is not recognizing my Android tablet

I think I have done everything right but I cannot get Eclipse to recognize my plugged in running Samsung Tab-2. Below is what I have done. What have I done wrong?
1) I have instelled USB drivers and can move files from the tablet to the Windows XP computer.
2) I have enabled USB debugging on the phone
3) I have been debugging on a virtual device then sending the apd files over email to my tablet and phone. That works fine. Obviously, I have enabled that on the phone.
4) I set up Eclipse to always ask what device to debug on.
5) I plugged the tablet into the USB slot and it is recognized by Windows.
6) I read the instructions Here
7) I click debug and am faced with a blank list of devices under "Choosing a running Android Device". My tablet does not show up.
8) I find myself at wit's end (adventure reference).
9) I ask for help on Stackoverflow.
I think you should take a look at this answer. An identical issue was accepted at that post.
Hope it works to you!
Try a different MicroUSB cable, I have seen this affect the device showing up in Eclipse, even if the cable is working fine for everything else (even transferring files to/from that specific device).
If nothing works you can use adb over wifi by calling : adb connect "your ip adress". I am assuming the Tab runns Android ICS. You can enable Adb over wifi right under the USB debugging- menu point.
How many times have I called tech support and had them tell me to reboot windows? Well, the solution was to reboot windows. Nowhere in any of the installation instructions did I skip a step of rebooting but just thought I should try that.

can't get ADB to recognize my galaxy

I've followed this post trying to run my application on my galaxy. My app is debuggable, USB debugging is checked on phone and I've manually installed USB drivers - my device manager shows me that I have Android ADB Interface installed.
Despite it all - when I am running adb devices it would only list the emulator.
Any ideas? thanks!
P.s. I am running windows 7 and the mobile is Samsung Galaxi 1900I
I use Droid X, in Win 7.
sometimes it is not work too (adb can't detect my device)
but the solutions is simple, just switch usb connection into Windows Media Sync (ie. from PC Mode) , it is work for me.
also make sure to set your device in Debug mode (USB Debugging)
Yotamoo, When you first plug in, Windows offers you some choices on how to deal with the new device; Open in File Explorer, etc...one of them is Windows Media Player. Choose that. I had similar problems and this solution worked for me and my galaxy S3...
hakim, why does this work?
Make sure you installed the USB Drivers.
Locate your phone in Device Manager and see if it working correctly.
These are the correct drivers.
Turn Debugging mode on on your phone.
You will be prompted to accept USB debugging on your device if it detects some application would like to use it.
After you agree it will pop up as a debug-able device.
I had the same problems.
Try to update your smartphone in the device manager (computer->properties).
