I've published my Android game on Tuesday (5 days back) and still the downloads/Installs are not updated in the app page. However, the Dev console shows that there have been around 1500 installs. What is the issue? Is this normal?
Google play store always have delays. Just wait, it will update automatically in few days.
When you say it's not updated so you mean on the play store on your device? on web? If it's on the device then try clearing the data of Google Play - but if it's not showing up in on the web (I mean your app page on web) then it's something related to Google.
Don't worry, it's perfectly normal.
Play Store usually takes some time to reflect the new data. Usually previous day data is shown on the next day.
And yeah this doesn't affect the rating, etc.

I have developed an app and I wish to release it to internal track. How long does it take for Google to review and publish the app to internal track?
Also, is there any way to move it to production track once it has been approved?
When you publish an android APK or Bundle for the first time, it may take a minimum 3 days or less depends on a traffic of a queue. After you upload
your app for the second time, it may take 1 to 2 hours to go live on play
store.

Is there any particular time period for the app in the play store to be updated (considering the fact that the developer or the company owning the app in not bothered of the update as they are satisfied with their app). Is their any chances of the app being removed from the play store due to this.
There is no particular time interval between updates for play store apps. How ever some users checks for the last updated date before downloading an app and if the app was last updated a long time ago, they might not download the app, because they may think that the developer has stopped supporting the app. And there is no such app that is completely bug free. if you have one, CONGRATZZZZ... During the initial stages of your apps release, ie; when the app is in versions 1,2... you should pay close attention to your playstore dashboard to see the metrics, provides a lot of valuable information regarding your app's performance in devices and in playstore, and make changes to your app and fix bugs if there is any, and publish new updates frequently,at that time your app update interval will be very short. you See this article for more info about app update intervals
There is no particular time for give an update to the app on play store.
Whenever you add some new features and you have completed the testing phase then you can update your app.

I am curious if anyone has experience making a free app and adding ads to it and placing it on the marketplace. Are ads difficult to code, and how do you actually go about doing that? How was the income with ads, do you think making a free app with ads is more profitable than selling it for $0.99 or really depends on the app itself? Thanks for the comments.
It is very easy to add ads to your app. See https://developers.google.com/mobile-ads-sdk/docs/ for the details.
I've one app with Adds in the Play Store. It really depends on your app. When your App is used every day by the user you generate more views than an App that is used only once a month.
You need a lot of downloads (100.000+) to get an income from it. With < 10.000 downloads you only earn a few dollars a week.

I've got an app that needs developing cross platform with sporadic updates depending on season and to go with PR, etc.
I know I can set an initial availibility date for iPhone distribution and I can do the same for updates. However I cant seem to find if I can do this with the PlayStore. I'll need to time the initial release then time updates depending on seasons and would like to do this in advance.
Anyone know if its similar? If you know if similar can be done on Windows Phone OS too that would be an extra bonus! hehe
You can't. You have to submit your APK a few hours before you want the App to be available in the Play Store. Play Store does not provide a "publish from date".

I know that this topic would have been discussed here a lot of times, but I couldn't find a proper answer for my query even after searching a lot across the internet. Therefore I thought I should ask a question here so as to get the answer from the developer here who may have published there app in play store. The point which is more confusing is that the status
of my application shows PUBLISHED but when I search in the play store I don't find my application. Can anyone pls tell me that how long it will take before the app to finally appear in the play store.
Application get displayed in play store within a short time after you publish. It takes maximum of 1 day time to display and not more than that. I hope there was mistake from your end only. Better you check whether any errors exists by clicking on the Errors hyperlink. If still no hints then you have to check for something else.
