Sorry, not fully understanding. Did you want them lined up vertically? Then that would just be setting orientation to vertical in the linear layout. I looked at what this xml does right now. It appears to be button which is half the screen and textview with is the other half. Could you explain a little more what you want to see?
<LinearLayout
android:orientation="vertical"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:padding="4dip"
>
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:orientation="horizontal"
android:layout_height="wrap_content">
<Button android:id="#+id/help_button1"
android:layout_weight="1"
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:onClick="onClickHelp"/>
<View
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="0dp"
android:layout_weight="1"/>
</LinearLayout>
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:orientation="horizontal"
android:layout_height="wrap_content">
<TextView
android:id="#+id/help_page_intro"
android:layout_width="match_parent"

android:padding="2dip"

android:layout_weight="1"/>

Hi all I have to add 2 Buttons below editfield. I had tried it using relativelayout. But it is not added exactly below mention position.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<ScrollView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="fill_parent"
android:fillViewport="true" >
<RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:background="#E8E8E8" >
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:orientation="vertical"
android:padding="10dip" >
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_marginTop="5dp"
android:orientation="horizontal" >
<TextView
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="0.35"
android:text="User Name"
android:textStyle="bold" />
<EditText
android:id="#+id/name"
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="0.55" />
</LinearLayout>
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_marginTop="5dp"
android:orientation="horizontal" >
<TextView
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="0.35"
android:text="Description"
android:textStyle="bold" />
<EditText
android:id="#+id/des"
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="0.55" />
</LinearLayout>
<RelativeLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:layout_below="#id/des"
android:padding="10dip">
<Button
android:id="#+id/submit"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_alignParentLeft="true"
android:layout_alignParentTop="true"
android:text="Submit" />
<Button
android:id="#+id/cancel"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_alignParentTop="true"
android:layout_toRightOf="#id/submit"
android:text="Cancel" />
</RelativeLayout>
</LinearLayout>
</RelativeLayout>
</ScrollView>
Here I want to add these two buttons exactly below "des" editfield. Thanks in advance
Currently it displays like . But I want these two buttons exactly below last editfield with equal size.
You have just add on your relative layout:
layout_gravity on right and width make on wrap_content. like this
<RelativeLayout
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:layout_below="#id/des" android:layout_gravity="right"
android:padding="10dip">
<Button
android:id="#+id/submit"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_alignParentLeft="true"
android:layout_alignParentTop="true"
android:text="Submit" />
<Button
android:id="#+id/cancel"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_alignParentTop="true"
android:layout_toRightOf="#id/submit"
android:text="Cancel" />
</RelativeLayout>
Output looks like:
Ist think you are doing wrong is that : ScrollView never contains Relative Layout as a direct child. it use LinearLayout as a direct child .
use this code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<ScrollView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="fill_parent"
android:fillViewport="true" >
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:orientation="vertical"
android:padding="10dip" >
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_marginTop="5dp"
android:orientation="horizontal" >
<TextView
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="0.35"
android:text="User Name"
android:textStyle="bold" />
<EditText
android:id="#+id/name"
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="0.55" />
</LinearLayout>
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_marginTop="5dp"
android:orientation="horizontal" >
<TextView
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="0.35"
android:text="Description"
android:textStyle="bold" />
<EditText
android:id="#+id/des"
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="0.55" />
</LinearLayout>
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_below="#id/des"
android:orientation="horizontal"
android:padding="10dip" >
<Button
android:id="#+id/submit"
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="1"
android:text="Submit" />
<Button
android:id="#+id/cancel"
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="1"
android:text="Cancel" />
</LinearLayout>
</LinearLayout>
</ScrollView>
Try this
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<ScrollView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="fill_parent"
android:fillViewport="true" >

android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:background="#E8E8E8" >

android:layout_marginTop="5dp"

<TextView
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="0.35"
android:text="Description"
android:textStyle="bold" />
<EditText
android:id="#+id/des"
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="0.55" />
</LinearLayout>
<RelativeLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:layout_below="#id/des"
android:padding="10dip">
<Button

android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_toLeftOf="#+id/cancel"
android:text="Submit" />
</RelativeLayout>
</LinearLayout>
</RelativeLayout>
</ScrollView>
Try this:
One more thing when you want to do stuff like this, try to see in graphical layout and move elements in that to position you want. Most of time it will work as expected and you can get idea of place too.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<ScrollView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="fill_parent"
android:fillViewport="true" >
<RelativeLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:background="#E8E8E8" >
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:orientation="vertical"
android:padding="10dip" >
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_marginTop="5dp"
android:orientation="horizontal" >
<TextView
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="0.35"
android:text="User Name"
android:textStyle="bold" />
<EditText
android:id="#+id/name"
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="0.55" />
</LinearLayout>
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_marginTop="5dp"
android:orientation="horizontal" >
<TextView
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="0.35"
android:text="Description"
android:textStyle="bold" />
<EditText
android:id="#+id/des"
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="0.55" />
</LinearLayout>
<RelativeLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:layout_below="#id/des"
android:padding="10dip" >
<Button
android:id="#+id/submit"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_centerHorizontal="true"
android:layout_centerVertical="true"
android:text="Submit" />
<Button
android:id="#+id/cancel"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_alignBaseline="#+id/submit"
android:layout_alignBottom="#+id/submit"
android:layout_alignParentRight="true"
android:text="Cancel" />
</RelativeLayout>
</LinearLayout>
</RelativeLayout>
</ScrollView>
In your case its not possible because you are trying to place a button relative to EditText which is placed inside a LinearLayout, you can place the button relative to linearlayout but not its ChildViews.
Try to bring all the Views inside a single relative layout and place all the Views relative to each other.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<ScrollView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="fill_parent"
android:fillViewport="true" >
<RelativeLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:background="#E8E8E8" >
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:orientation="vertical"
android:padding="10dip" >

Hope this will solve your problem
android:layout_below="#id/des" That des is present in LinearLayout, IF you want to give that way, Same RelativeLyout should be given within the layout that des is present and Their parent should be relative layout, to use parementers such as below or above(i.e., with relative to other widget)
I want to have several layouts inside a layout so that I can better organize the UI. What I want is the layout to be horizontal. I need the layout to be split in half horizontally down the middle and the 4 buttons and text box to be on one side and copied on the other side as well so it can keep track of two totals. I only have one set of buttons right now because I cant get the layouts right.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:layout_width="250.0dip"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"

android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"

android:id="#+id/button_minus_5"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:text="-5" />
</LinearLayout>
You can create left and right layouts as separate layouts and inflate it in the main layout. This will simplify the layout design.
And try to start the design with android:layout_width="fill_parent" instead of android:layout_width="250.0dip"
Once you get the layout you want, then try to adjust the width as you need.
I have a relative layout with two linear layout inside it with two textviews in each of them.
I wanted the textviews to appear horizontally as a row.
The code is given below:
<RelativeLayout
android:id="#+id/linear2"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:orientation="horizontal" >
<LinearLayout
android:id="#+id/txtlinear"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:orientation="horizontal" >
<TextView
android:id="#+id/esms_parentfees_classtext"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
<TextView
android:id="#+id/esms_parentfees_classdetais"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
</LinearLayout>
<LinearLayout
android:layout_gravity="center_horizontal"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_toRightOf="#+id/esms_parentfees_classdetais"
android:orientation="horizontal" >
<TextView
android:id="#+id/esms_parentfees_datetext"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
<TextView
android:id="#+id/esms_parentfees_datedetais"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
</LinearLayout>
</RelativeLayout>
Notes on your XML:
You can't use toRightOf, etc, within a LinearLayout
RelativeLayout's don't have an orientation
This is needed for some reason to show all the XML? Ignore this line
<RelativeLayout
android:id="#+id/relativeLayout"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content" >
<LinearLayout
android:id="#+id/linearLayout1"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:orientation="horizontal" >
<TextView
android:id="#+id/esms_parentfees_classtext"
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="0.5" />
<TextView
android:id="#+id/esms_parentfees_classdetais"
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="0.5" />
</LinearLayout>
<LinearLayout
android:id="#+id/linearLayout2"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:orientation="horizontal" >
<TextView
android:id="#+id/esms_parentfees_datetext"
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="0.5" />
<TextView
android:id="#+id/esms_parentfees_datedetais"
android:layout_width="0dp"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="0.5" />
</LinearLayout>
</RelativeLayout>
The easiest way would be to make the outer RelativeLayout a LinearLayout
<LinearLayout
android:id="#+id/linear2"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:orientation="vertical" >
Then remove any tag like
android:layout_toRightOf="#+id/esms_parentfees_classdetais"
Or, you could just change the tag mentioned above to
android:layout_below="#+id/esms_parentfees_classdetais"
if you need the four textviews in a row its easy to just use a linear layout with the four text views in it (or a table layout) instead of using two linear layouts in a relative layout.
Have a look at this :
<LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_alignRight="#+id/txtlinear"
>
<TextView
android:id="#+id/esms_parentfees_classtext"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="1"
android:text="hi" />
<TextView
android:id="#+id/esms_parentfees_classdetais"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="1"
android:text="hi" />
<TextView
android:id="#+id/esms_parentfees_datetext"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="1"
android:text="hi" />
<TextView
android:id="#+id/esms_parentfees_datedetais"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="1"
android:text="hi" />
</LinearLayout>
or
<TableLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_alignRight="#+id/txtlinear"
>
<TableRow
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content" >
<TextView
android:id="#+id/esms_parentfees_classtext"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="1"
android:text="hi" />
<TextView
android:id="#+id/esms_parentfees_classdetais"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="1"
android:text="hi" />
<TextView
android:id="#+id/esms_parentfees_datetext"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="1"
android:text="hi" />
<TextView
android:id="#+id/esms_parentfees_datedetais"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="1"
android:text="hi" />
</TableRow>
</TableLayout>
or if its a compulsion that you need a relative layout with two linear layouts in it you can follow any of the solutions above
<RelativeLayout
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
>
<TextView
android:id="#+id/esms_parentfees_classtext"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
/>
<TextView
android:id="#+id/esms_parentfees_classdetais"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_toLeftOf="#+id/esms_parentfees_classtext"
/>
</RelativeLayout>
I am trying to build a complex listview item layout with all of the elements being the same dimensions for each listview item with the entire layout taking up the whole width of the screen. So far I have attempted doing this using a linearlayout and found that this is the wrong approach. I have then attempted using a relative layout however this has not worked for me so I hope that someone can point out how I can make this work.
Here is a diagram of what I am trying to build.
Here is some more details about the diagram:
Only elements 5 and 6 have the same content for every list item. The
rest of elements all will have different text however the layout
should always be the same size.
Element 4 should only be 2 lines. Elements 1, 2 and 3 should only be 1
line.
Element 2 should be aligned left and element 3 should be aligned
right.
Element 2 and 3 should each be half of the width of element 4.
Here is my attempt at this layout using a RelativeLayout.
<RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="?android:attr/listPreferredItemHeight"
android:padding="2dp">
<TextView
android:id="#+id/txtRaceNumber"
android:layout_width="20dp"
android:layout_height="fill_parent"
android:textAppearance="?android:attr/textAppearanceLarge"
android:gravity="center"
android:layout_gravity="center"
android:layout_alignParentTop="true"
android:layout_alignParentBottom="true" />
<TextView
android:id="#+id/txtRaceName"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:textAppearance="?android:attr/textAppearanceMedium"
android:layout_toRightOf="#id/txtRaceNumber"
android:layout_alignParentTop="true" />
<TextView
android:id="#+id/txtRaceClass"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="1"
android:textAppearance="?android:attr/textAppearanceSmall"
android:maxLines="1"
android:ellipsize="marquee"
android:layout_alignParentBottom="true"
android:layout_alignParentLeft="true"
android:layout_toRightOf="#id/txtRaceNumber" />
<TextView
android:id="#+id/txtRaceStartTime"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="1"
android:textAppearance="?android:attr/textAppearanceSmall"
android:maxLines="1"
android:layout_alignParentBottom="true"
android:layout_toRightOf="#id/txtRaceClass" />
<ImageButton
android:id="#+id/btnTracklist"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="fill_parent"
android:background="#null"
android:paddingRight="8dip"
android:focusable="false"
android:layout_gravity="center_vertical|center_horizontal"
android:layout_alignParentTop="true"
android:layout_alignParentBottom="true"
android:layout_toRightOf="#id/txtRaceStartTime" />
<ImageView
android:src="#drawable/go"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="fill_parent"
android:layout_gravity="center_vertical"
android:layout_alignParentTop="true"
android:layout_alignParentBottom="true"
android:layout_alignParentRight="true"
android:layout_toRightOf="#id/btnTracklist" />
</RelativeLayout>
Using this RelativeLayout all of the elements appear scrambled within the layout.
How can I get all of these elements to align as I have shown in the Diagram?
Is this what you need?
<LinearLayout
android:id="#+id/lin1"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"

I have managed to get the desired layout using weightSum on the main layout.
Here is the code:
<LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:id="#+id/twolinechecked"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:minHeight="?android:attr/listPreferredItemHeight"
android:maxHeight="?android:attr/listPreferredItemHeight"
android:paddingTop="2dip"
android:paddingBottom="2dip"
android:orientation="horizontal"
android:weightSum="1"
android:descendantFocusability="blocksDescendants">
<TextView
android:id="#+id/txtRaceNumber"
android:layout_width="40dip"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:textAppearance="?android:attr/textAppearanceLarge"
android:gravity="center"
android:layout_gravity="center"
android:paddingRight="5dip"
android:paddingLeft="5dip"
android:textStyle="bold" />
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:orientation="vertical"
android:layout_weight="1"
android:layout_gravity="center_vertical|center_horizontal"
android:layout_marginLeft="6dip">
<TextView
android:id="#+id/txtRaceName"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"

android:id="#+id/linearTextInner"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:orientation="horizontal"
android:layout_gravity="center_vertical|center_horizontal">
<TextView
android:id="#+id/txtRaceClass"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_weight="1"

android:maxLines="1"
android:ellipsize="marquee"
android:layout_alignParentLeft="true" />
<TextView
android:id="#+id/txtRaceStartTime"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:textAppearance="?android:attr/textAppearanceSmall"
android:layout_weight="1"
android:maxLines="1"
android:layout_alignParentRight="true"
android:gravity="right" />
</LinearLayout>
</LinearLayout>

EDITED: I HAVE FOUND THE SOLUTION MYSELF. THANK YOU!
I want to create the following screen for an Android App:
Right now I have this:
with this code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="fill_parent"

android:id="#+id/linearLayout1"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="fill_parent"
android:orientation="vertical"
android:layout_weight=".65"
android:weightSum="5" >
<TextView
android:id="#+id/textView1"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:text="TOURNAMENT: "

The text can be aligned to the right using android:gravity="right", but how can I make it
centered vertically?
--> AISHH, it's: android:gravity="center_vertical|right"
Thank you!!
Well TableLayout is not a good ideea. You should try using a RelativeLayout and some LinearLayout nested inside.
Try something like this:
<RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent">
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:layout_alignParentTop="true"
android:id="#+id/first_linear"
android:orientation="vertical">
<!-- Note that for text view,and editText you might need to use certain values (dip values) cuz wrap content will try to arrange the view -->
<TextView
android:id="#+id/first_text_label"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"/>
<EditText
android:id = "#+id/first_edit_text"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"/>
</LinearLayout>
<!-- we align all the following linearlayouts below the first -->
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:layout_below="#id/first_linear"
android:id="#+id/second_linear"
android:orientation="vertical">
<TextView
android:id="#+id/second_text_label"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"/>
<EditText
android:id = "#+id/second_edit_text"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"/>
</LinearLayout>
<!-- add all the layouts like those from above -->
<!-- ...... -->
<!-- after you added all the fields you can add a linear layout containing two buttons to float below the last one -->
I've done a similar layout like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:orientation="vertical"
android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_width="fill_parent"
>
<ScrollView android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_weight="1.0">
<LinearLayout android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_width="fill_parent">
<TableLayout android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:stretchColumns="1" android:shrinkColumns="1">
<TableRow android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content">
<TextView android:text="Value1" android:gravity="right" />
<EditText android:singleLine="true" android:id="#+id/editTextVal1" />
</TableRow>
<TableRow android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content">
<TextView android:text="Long name value2" android:gravity="right" />
<EditText android:singleLine="true" android:id="#+id/editTextVal1" />
</TableRow>
</TableLayout>
</LinearLayout>
</ScrollView>
<LinearLayout android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_weight="0.0">
<Button android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Save" />
<Button android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Cancel" />
</LinearLayout>
</LinearLayout>
