I'm new to game developing and really confused because there are a few engines for Android and ios.
I wanna make a 3D Android (and maybe ios) game and wanna know what the best engine is.
I'm using unity but I think unreal is good too
In my opinion Unity is the better option for mobile development as it's not quite so heavy on the device, plus there is a lot more documentation readily available for Unity. I have been using Unity for a few years and have never had a problem with it so far.

I have some experience in Python and know that Kivy is a good platform to create python android apps. Though as side hobby, I am learning c#/unity for indie game development, I know unity is good for developing android game, but let's say I want to build a weather app on android, does unity have the capability to allow developers to do so?
Yes, Unity has the capability to create non-game applications for Android (and iOS). However, I would highly discourage it. Using Unity for non-game development is like building a house out of sheet metal. While it can be done, it's not the right tool for the job and anyone who sees it can tell.

I want to build an arithmetic game for Android and iOS. It wouldn't need to much performance, a simple 2D game framework should be enough.
I was thinking about whether using LibGDX or HTML5 framework.
If it affects the choice, it's likely that the game will incorporate Play Services
What do you suggest?
Thank you.
I doubt HTML5 is good enough in terms of performance. libgdx may not be as good as Corona SDK. Corona supports many platforms (Android, iOS, Windows Phone, ...).

I'm a web developer but I'm moving in the app development direction. I was just wondering if there is a possibility to buy and download ready made themes that you can use in the development and tweak to your desires? Both for Android and iOS. Thinking about sites similar to themeforest and so on. I did search themeforest but couldn't find more than a couple of themes for app development.
Check out this link
But it's better you learn to create your own themes from scratch since you may run into errors in the long run and will need to know how to go about it

I'm writing my thesis on the state of hybrid app development. I would like to see some real world examples of hybrid apps that are in use today, specifically WebView based hybrid apps, so not the Titanium or Xamarin kind.
What apps out there are hybrid? What are the best examples of hybrid apps that make a good argument for hybrid app development? The bigger app the better!
One example I can recommend is Tripcase. It uses WebKit (PhoneGap), and has a fairly decent UI (for hybrid apps).

I'm looking for a free tool on Macbook for Android GUI design. I just want to easily draw GUI prototype for review purpose with internal team and customer. Could anybody recommend me a tool? If no such recommendation on Macbook, Windows based tool is acceptable too.
I tried a couple but the one I liked the most was Pencil, available as standalone application and as a firefox plugin. I searched a time ago, so chances are that you could find something better, but it's worthy to give it a try.
