I have a samsung tablet model number GT-P5110 and i need to download the OEM USB drivers as i can't test out my apps that i have created on android studio, can someone please provide me a link of where i should download these drivers. Your help and comments will be much appriciated.
Which platform are you developing from, windows, Linux or mac OS? Samsung drivers are usually generic, not for a specific model. Samsung Kies normally works well on windows and Mac. On Linux, you don't need drivers. I had issues with my Gt-5100 playing nicely with USB 3 and USB2 on both windows and Linux. My SM-P901 played well on USB3 and USB2 on windows, but, it only played nice with USB2 on Linux. Meaning, playing with adb.
There are two drivers when your connect samsung tablet to computer. One is USB driver, and one is tablet driver. You can try to download a drivers download software from Cnet and helps you scan your computer. It will recommend you the right driver.

I can't seem to connect my Samsung Galaxy Note II (N7100) to my Windows 8 Machine (aiming to use the phone for debugging - but current can't even connect the device as mass storage). No USB notification is shown when connecting the mobile by cable.
Things I have checked thus far:
USB Cable (works on different machine and with HTC phone)
USB Ports (tried different ports, 2.0 and 3.0, all working)
PC USB Drivers
Phone (connects to my Win 7 machine)
Samsung Kies (and Samsung driver) and Google USB Driver both installed
PS. The reason Im asking this here is because I'm aiming to use the phone for development and I'm hoping to get some answers that aren't "have you double checked the cable?" like on every Google search I have performed so far. Hopefully another developer recognises this issue.
OK. so You've obviously done the basics and made sure all the cabling is functional.
it sounds like the Volume is not mounting in windows 8
if it's not detected in Windows Device Manager, and More importantly, if it's not visible in Disk Management, then the volume simply is not Mounting.
I would suggest
Try connecting to a Windows 7 Machine and see if it works, if it does, Then Most likely you need Windows 8 Drivers
I would be contacting Samsung Engineers for support on the Issue
What version of Kies are you using
i found this that might be useful for you
Ultimately, as you know the volume is not mounting due to Driver issues, and this needs to be resolved if you are to have a solution
You could always Try setting up XP Mode in Windows 8 and see if it recognizes that way.
Granted this is a bit of a workaround and a bit stuffy, but. Hey, it's another option.
let me know how you go
Go to dial pad & type *#0808#
It displays USB settings
Select MTP+ADB option
Press OK button
Connect to USB cable to PC
It shows Connected as a media device."
I want to run my own android application and sample application on my android intex x1 phone android version 2.3 a low budget phone. I connect my phone with laptop it said driver failed may be my mobile drivers.
But I have other drivers like tethering and storage(because my phone is connected).
can any one tell me what drivers i need. i don't know what are OEM drivers 0r ADB drivers.
i am finding the solution from last two days. but could not downloaded\find any working drivers. I am using window 7 and on eclipse AVD if working normally. I getting solutions like how to root your mobile etc.
I want to run application on my android phone. Please direct me some steps. I think their are no drivers available.
Is their any other solution like universal ADB drivers or like that.
Is http://pdanet.co/bin/PdaNetA4150.exe a solution in my case?
use universal drivers that connect to any device. download your drivers from intexmobile.in.
or use software like mobogenie or pdanet+.
I want to test my android app on my android device, which is a Samsung Galaxy Trend Lite (also called Samsung Galaxy Fresh) GT-S7390. However, Samsung doesn't provide the OEM drivers for that device! Hence, so far, Eclipse doesn't recognize my device when I plug it in my computer.
Could I maybe install drivers of another, related device? Would it work? If yes, which device would be the closest to mine in that respect? (Here are some info on it : http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_fresh_s7390-5841.php)
Thanks in advance for your insights!
You just can try to install Samsung Kies. There're all necessary drivers implemented.
Otherwise you could try to install the Samsung USB Driver from the developer sction:

I'm new to Android. I heard that the drivers are provided by the phone manufacturer. So I'm wondering whether the system.img I compiled from the Android source code includes the drivers or not. If it does not, where are the drivers? Is it possible that I re-flash the drivers?
Thanks!
You may have to install the drivers on your own for some devices if you are on a PC. You can go to that phone manufacturer's website and they have a download link. Mac seems a little better in finding the device drivers
Picked up my S3 on launch and want to get started learning to develop for android using Eclipse. So far I'm having fun!
However, I want to be able to debug my application on the phone hardware itself and not just in an AVD. My problem is that I cannot find appropriate USB device drivers. The Samsung support site is garbage and windows update told me 'where to go'.
Has anyone got this working yet? If so, how?
For those still looking, you don't need to install the bloat. Go to:

Click on or scroll to "Manuals & Downloads" and then USB (Driver) is available under "Downloads".

Turns out you have to install Samsung Kies to get the USB driver. Similar to the iPhone. I wanted to avoid this unnecessary bloat (i plugged my phone in and it threw a WPF exception...) and thankfully you can uninstall Kies without uninstalling the driver. Result.
After that, ADB is able to see the phone with no problem at all and I can debug on the device perfectly.
you need the usb driver for it. Once you have that installed simply connect the phone via usb to your machine, start eclipse and adb will pick up the device given that the drivers installed properly. try this link, one of these will probably have the driver. Samsung Galaxy S3 downloads

There's no need for KIES or other bloat!!
There's a very useful toolkit that does much more then kies, and it's available here:
