I created a Nexus 10 AVD to test my android app. In this AVD, the UI elements in the AVD are shown distorted.
For example, in above button, it can be seen that the bottom margin is not a straight line. This is more visible in some line charts of my application.
I take tablet screenshots for uploading into Google Play store listing. So I need the screen to be shown correctly, without any distortion.
Does anyone know how to get this fixed?

I am new to Android.
I have a Microsoft Surface 4 laptop, and I cannot get Android Emulator to display properly on it.
Small Screen next to Main Screen
There is a small screen which appears next to the main screen. My program output is displayed on this small screen, as opposed to the main screen.
I have found that changing the API Level helps. My laptop cannot seem to handle Android Oreo and needs to use Android Nougat.
Thanks,
Ash
I am new to android, when I launch my first app, it is not occupying the entire screen size of the emulator (attached the screenshot).
Any reason why it is showing up like this.
android default emulator is really slow and useless
use leapdroid instead,it's really powerful and fast
download leapdroid from here
NOTE:
Please see: http://elitehitsquad.co.uk/carbon.png
This is where it will show the carbon for a split second then disappear resulting in black! Hopefully the screenshot on the left doesn't show the carbon for you guys!
I had to take a screenshot very quickly for the carbon to show, so the second screenshot has some transparency.
I have also labelled which is black and which is carbon from my screen (incase the carbon shows for you guys)
I'm building a website and it's been going fine, had no problems whatsoever, however, randomly after refreshing the page, the background images (which are carbon patterns) are no longer displayed?
The images do display however, on my tablet device and iPhone 5.. which is weird.
I took a screenshot of the website on my phone and emailed it to myself, and even windows doesn't pick up the background when viewed with Microsoft's picture viewer, the carbon displays for about 0.5 seconds, then disappears resulting in a black background..
I have tried loading old code from a backup, still nothing. Chrome, Firefox and IE all do this, and yes, i've also cleared temporary files / temporary internet files and the cache/cookies/site data.
Since im not fussed if you see this part of the site, go ahead to: http://elitehitsquad.co.uk/wp/ and take a look, their is a carbon background for body, a carbon background (slightly different) for the nav bar, and the content is in a black box.. Yet on my computer screen it's just all showing black? But on my handheld devices, it's showing normally...
Anybody know of any reason?
By the way, im using a Lenovo Ideapad Z585 with AMD A10 -4600M APU with AMD Radeon HD 7660G + 7600M Dual Graphics.
Also should note if I change the background to a any solid coloured image, it works fine...
Thanks,
Blake.
This is most probably incomplete monitor calibration issue.
Check your Windows display settings, called Color management (if you are on this platform) inside your Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display\Screen Resolution\Advanced settings.
There is an color management wizard who will lead you trough the process of calibrating your monitor.
I am successfully debugging my Android app on the NOOK SDK and using the NOOK emulation. However, I am finding that the lower part of my Nook screen is being cutoff -- I'm talking about the actual screen, not my layout. Does anybody know how to fix this so the entire NOOK image is displayed in the emulator?
After much experimentation, I found that I can get the whole emulator to display by minimizing it (double click the icon on the taskbar for the emulator), and then click the icon on the taskbar again to re-display the emulator. After this the complete Nook image is displayed. It's a little strange, but for now its the best answer I've got.
So I've searched for an answer but found nothing. Basically, whenever I run a simple little menu app for android tablets using the eclipse android emulator 3.0, only about 1/6th of the app is shown (the top center piece, if the tablet is held landscape.) I've done tutorials using the 2.2 emulator and they work just fine, but whenever I launch the 3.0, the app (and only the app - the android home runs fine) just doesn't appear. When I look at it in the main.xml layout folder, the graphical layout shows it exactly the way I want it to appear.
Is this a problem with the emulator? This can't be a common problem, otherwise I'm sure I would have found a solution by now, but there must be some switch or something that I'm not seeing that's making the app appear as if it were running on a phone and not a tablet.
Do you have a low resolution set for your 3.0 AVD? If you run the AVD Manager, what resolution does it show?
