Google Play Store not showing Update on app (android) - android

Introduction
I have uploaded my first version of app and users downloaded it , installed it and used too. It was a cake. But when i upload the second version then it gets updated after 1 hour or so.
Problem
It is showing version update in google play when I open it in Mac. But when I search for it in the android device its not showing the upgraded version or the to update dialog. So I wait for 12 hours or so by thinking the listing might be not done yet. But still no result. And when I clear the cache of google play in android it shows to update.
Question
Why does this happen? Is there any solution that the update button will immediately come then the app is updated and published in play store.
Please do attach any official docs if available.
Update
i figured out the google play in the android device is the problem. if i clear the cache then google play detects the new version and prompts to update the app. so is there any way to programmatically clear cache of google play in android.

Google Play not showing new version of the app unless clear cache of Google Play

I have an app that check the version in-app. If we deploy a new app together with the backend, the app will announce that the user is using the old version of the app, and redirect to google play to update the new released version. Hence they cannot use the app
But the problem occurs when Google Play not showing the latest version unless I clear the cache of google play.
Is there any way I can make google display the new version when redirecting to Google Play (by adding a query flags into the Google Play url or something like that to make Google Play show the latest version?)
Having the users waiting until Google Play show the correct version is not a good practice, as they can't use the app in the mean time. But guiding them to clear google play cache maybe a problem with elderly or non-tech users.
Thank you guys for your time.
Use Android In-app updates it will update the app from within the app without going to Google Play store
Now the newstips update for android is delayed all together. It was uploading for me day and half ago then when I went to play it was the same old version so I put in a slip and they still haven't explained to me this issue, I had to find out myself on facebook its

Google Play not updating internal app automatically

I have an app that is released only as an "internal test" on the Google Play store
When I go to the Google Play store on my phone, the app does not show up at all, under "installed" or "updates" or any other tab
When I click the 'internal testing' link (the one that Google Play Console says to give to internal testers), it opens Google Play and shows my app's store page. The store page shows the correct latest version, but I'm unable to install it. My only options are "uninstall" and "open" (which opens the currently installed old version of the app)
I have "enable auto-update" enabled from the Google Play store page
I've waited two days
I've made sure the app is closed completely on the phone
As far as I can tell, there's no way to update the app without uninstalling it, which deletes all the app data. How can my testers update the app?
Updating seems to be broken for apps that Google has not reviewed yet, which they don't do for internal apps.
I released the app to closed beta, causing Google to review it, and stopped using "internal releases" altogether. I'm not sure which of the two was the fix, but now auto updates work.
I think I've found a workaround. It's now worked 3 times out of 3, so fingers crossed.
First, uninstall whatever version you have on your device.
Then visit the link provided from Google Play Console on a PC instead, and from there you click the 'If you don’t have the app installed, download it on Google Play.'-link.
Once there, press install, and choose your device.
This way, the latest version of the app is installed on your device, and not some random version; like seems to be the case, using the Play Store on the device.
Not ideal, but it works :)
Requirements for getting the Internal Update on Play store
Add your same email Account in internal testing which you used as in play store.
Join Beta Testing program which will be visible when you search the same app on play store.
Turn on internal-app-sharing on playstore - > PlayStore->Setting->About ->PlayStore-version(press 7 times), Turn On Internal App Sharing in General Settings of play store.
Wait for some days & Get the app link from play store console to get the update version

My Xamarin.Android app on google play keeps updating .

I made an application on xamarin android and send it to the google play . When I download the application , there are 2 option on google play ,
one of them is Remove, the other one is Update. It should be Remove and Open. When I tap update, app downloading again. After that remove and update shows up on google play again.
google forum discussions suggest that deploying a new version solves the bug

Android - Why the latest version of my app is deployed but cannot show on play store

When i deployed a newer version of my android app on google play store (e.g. v1.17), but Google Play Store App in my device still display old version (v1.16) cause that i cannot update it from my device.
But i can login the Play Store from PC, and see the latest version. Then i can update the app to latest version through PC Google Play Store.
How can let play store always show the latest app version in the device?
(even if i try to clear data / clear cache for google play service, it still displays old version.)
Thanks.
just wait a couple of hours. It is highly automated, the whole process. personally it takes 3-4 hours to see my app on google play store on my device
I found a way that always fill-in the what's news change log when upload newer app version, it seem be easy to let play store show the latest app version faster in the device.

Error in updating app from Google market

I've developed an application and release it on google market with version 3.0. Later i've done some modification in it and upload new version(3.1) on market. To do this i've first deactivate old version and then upload this new version. Now, when i try to update app in my device (which is having 3.0 version app), i open app page in play store and shocked, because play store page display "OPEN" button inplace of "UPDATE".
Please suggest me the reason for this.
Thanks in advance.
How much time has it been when you uploaded the version 3.1 app?
Because it takes some time for google servers to upload the new version to the play store. Pay attention to the instructions, they are not as same as terms and conditions.
Update your apps documentation:
App updates take some time to be delivered to existing users. If you’ve submitted an update that hasn’t showed up on Google Play, please wait at least 24 hours before contacting our support team.
That also works for updates of course.
Nothing is instant at such a large scale you know...
