Last week we soft-launched our game and we started getting errors from people. One of the bugs they (all) seem to have is that their achievements are being reset at least every day but sometimes even when restarting our game. The achievements do give the popup when being unlocked, and are even visible in the achievements UI but they keep being reset/removed.
We did know our game behaved like this for our Beta testers, but we assumed this was because everyone that was playing at the time is registered as a Beta tester.
Anyway, we've looked all over the internet to find other people that have the same problem as we do but we came up empty handed. We've checked all our settings in the play dashboard and within our game a dozen times but can't find the problem. Every post is always about resetting achievements, not keeping them.
One thing that I did notice is that almost 70% of the calls that we make with GPGS is returned by a 4xx response. We are currectly using Unity 5.3.x in combination with GPGS v0.9.32.
Does anyone have any idea on why this is happening to our achievements?
Alright we've found the answer: we had 2 credentials and apparently used the wrong one in our APK. We switched around the Signing-certificate fingerprint so that the fingerprint in the APK and in play services match and now it's working.
The strange thing is that everything seemed to work and we've never gotten any feedback from google that something was wrong...
Thanks for your attention to this problem!

I've searched everywhere and even raised a support request with Google, but nothing helped so far. The Google support person didn't even understand the question and just wasted my time.
1. There seems to be a lot of confusion on this question. Here are some of the suggestions I've seen on SO which seem to come from an epoch when "pause track" wasn't available in the universe:
Remove all countries except one in which you don't expect any users (Didn't try)
Upload an empty APK to the Open Testing track (Not sure if this works in 2021)
Remove all testers (no option to do this in 2021 on Open Testing track)
2. But I went ahead and pressed the formal "pause track" button in Open Testing.
I took this route because the button is there and seems to tell me it's the right thing to do in 2021.
3. My question is as follows
Once the Open Testing track is paused, will old users' new reviews be visible in public? Will new users' reviews be visible in public?
4. A little bit of history to help you answer my question
We launched under the Open Testing track and got a lot of good reviews and ratings.
After several months we uploaded a new APK to the Production track and the Open Testing track got automatically moved to "Inactive". So far so good.
Our test users upgraded to the production app and started giving us reviews and ratings. But they are all ending up as "Testing Feedback", i.e., invisible to the public. So we have 0 public reviews.
Then I found out that I should pause the Open Testing track. I have paused it just this morning and the change is awaiting review. I will update when the review is done.
I'm asking my question in #3 above because I don't any longer believe Google understands Google Play better than Stackoverflow users.
There is no relation between your open testing and reviews,
if your app is live in-store anybody can review it, no matter you have paused the testing or not.
Somehow I am not able to fathom as to why there is a requirement of publishing for even INTERNAL TEST TRACK. Obviously, I am talking about the first apk push on play store.
It is understandable that Google needs to protect its reputation and end users from bad/worse/evil apps. But, as I understand, the internal test track is only available for internal testing where a set of identified people can only test the app. And the app can be released only from Alpha/Beta tracks.
The issue is that these days the review time is enormous , like , 1 week and even more. So, I basically have to wait 1 week to even start testing. Consider if I have already reviewed myself and then uploaded on internal test track, it just means that I am doing nothing other than waiting for this review.
Is it just me blabbering or others have faced time issue too ?
Or, Am I doing something wrong !. Is there a way to make it faster.
Do keep in mind that it is my first android app.
For the first APK you should wait a lot of time... During this period also due to coronavirus (COVID-19). You should wait the reponse from Google...
I just published my Android application in Google Play for the very first time, but after a while, in my merchant account, there are a lot of canceled orders.
And all of them was the same reason Customer's Credit Card was declined
I have some questions regarding this issue
1- Is it quite normal that to have canceled purchases?
2- What could be the reason for cancellation?
I really can't find any helpful information according to this issue.
Anything regarding this issue will be great.
1- Is it quite normal that to have canceled purchases?
It's allright. If there is something wrong Google payment gateway will handle it. If there is something really weird and needs a fix at your end you will get a notification from google regarding it.
2- What could be the reason of cancellation?
Sometimes this happens when the app is tested or reviewed by the appstores (manually or using automated scripts). The cards used by the testers or services are generally dummy and may cause this. I always get a lot those when i submit my app in Samsung store.
I had a app submitted to google play store and it had been on there a while it was really buggy and i decided to pick back up development on it and completely revamp it.
Problem: i have forgot my keystore sign that i did the first app with so i decided to unpublish it and do a completely new upload of the app under a different name.
Now the new app doesn't seem to be showing on the google play store now matter how hard i look?
With the old app is it possible to delete this or is unpublishing it the right thing to do.
Can anyone give me some steps on possible ways to resolve this or ways in which you can check the status of your app submission?
I also experienced this with some of my apps. It seems that there are some kinds of caching strategies in place that prevent the item from appearing.
Just wait another couple of hours and check your application again. As long as the market says that the app is compatible with your device there shouldn't be a serious error.
The delay isn't consistent at all. It can range from 45 minutes to several hours in my experience. I tend to upload before bed and when I wake up it has appeared. I guess it is one of those "a watched pot never boils" type things

I have an android app working since february without any change, with an average 10USD per day. Two weeks ago, it now appears red ( inactive on the admob status).
My admob sdk is GoogleAdMobAdsSdk-4.3.1.jar (I've tried changing it to the latest version, same result), on adb logcat it appears as if no ad inventory exists.
I've filled the admob forms, two weeks ago, and no reply so far. How can I contact them? As this type of thing happened before? And why I haven't received any earning so far?
The same happened to me. They will not answer nor notificate anything to you. Contacting them is harder than contacting the president. The most common reason is that you are violating the terms of use in some way, like giving incentives to the users to click the ads, or clicking the ads yourself several times...
Take a close look to your app, and create a new key in AdMob.
Maybe your app has disabled due a violation

This happened to my after about three month they disabled it .. But I filled a form for re enable it .. And after a little time it back to work again
