I am not able to understand why the main fragment is not showing the tabs. My code does not have any errors, its just when I click a item in navigation drawer its not displaying the fragment with tabs.

BEFORE YOU DO ANY OF THIS MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BACKUP OF YOUR PROJECT AS I HAVE NOT TESTED THIS!!!
INSIDE COORDINATORLAYOUT
Before the fragment_container I want you to place a FrameLayout, make sure it's layout_height is wrap_content. I want you to make it's id equal to realtabcontent. I want you to add the attribute layout_weight to fragment_container and make it equal to 1.
I want you to delete fragment main layout, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BACKUP OF THIS PROJECT!!!
INSIDE MAINFRAGMENT
I want you to change onCreateView to:
#Override
public View onCreateView(LayoutInflater inflater, ViewGroup container, Bundle savedInstanceState) {
mTabHost = new FragmentTabHost(getActivity());
mTabHost.setup(getActivity(), getChildFragmentManager(), R.id.realtabcontent);
mTabHost.addTab(mTabHost.newTabSpec("fragmentc").setIndicator("Fragment C"), MovieFragment.class, null);
mTabHost.addTab(mTabHost.newTabSpec("fragmentb").setIndicator("Fragment B"), GalleryFragment.class, null);
return inflater.inflate(R.id.fragment_container, null);

fragment overlap activity_main and activity_main is not removed

So what I want to do is something like this
Select a item from NavigationView
remove activity_main's content
load and show the fragment I've selected
For example:
I selected "Homepage" in NavigationView which should load Homepage.class
Load the fragment_homepage.xml
remove everything in activity_main.xml
What I am getting trouble is, no matter what I've selected in NavigationView, it shows up BOTH fragment_(whatIhaveSelected).xml and activity.xml which I don't want to.

addToBackStack not working on fragment

I searched a whole day on dozens of past stackoverflow questions but didn't find a exaustive answer about...
aren't fragments handled automatically by the backstack? or have I to implement it manually? (onBackStackChanged?)
or is there anything missing or wrong in my code?
this is a simplified test version instead of my whole (big) app written to replicate the problem
i have FragmentOne replacing with Fragment Two clicking the button
tapping the back button the app exits
thank you in advance

The Volunteer Fragment is not a Fragment as it extends AppCompatActivity. It should extend Fragment.
In the navigation drawer click listener you then should do something like this:
getSupportFragmentManager().beginTransaction().replace(R.id.frame_container, new Fragment_Volunteer()).commit();
you should use only Activity: "MainActivity"
and when you show "Fragment_Volunteer" on item menu put inside switch case:
getSupportFragmentManager()
.beginTransaction()
.replace(R.id.frame_container, new Fragment_Volunteer())
.commit();
use the code next:
Fragment_Volunteer extends Fragment
finally Fragment not use:
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {}
the code correct is this:
public class Fragment_Volunteer extends Fragment {
#Override
public View onCreateView(LayoutInflater inflater, ViewGroup container, Bundle savedInstanceState) {
View view = inflater.inflate(R.layout.activity_profile, container, false);
return view;
}
}
I hope to help, sorry for my bad english

how to create 2 swipe tabs in fragment?

Hi guys, I have a very big problem and I really don't know where I were wrong.
my app contains Navigation Drawer menu and i need to create swipe tabs in fragments_accounts.xml
Navigation Drawer Menu contains "Accounts" when it's clicked fragments_accounts.xml will show and i wanna create 2 swipe tabs in it.
I changed import android.support.v4.app.Fragment; to import android.app.Fragment; in both of the AccountsFtagmets.java and MainActivity.java
This error will show:
Error:(88, 28) error: incompatible types: AccountsFragment cannot be
converted to Fragment
How can i rescue from this error??
it's killing me!!!
