I am a trainee android developer who needed to activate developer's mode and USB debugging on my Infinix m8. The option("Build Number") is either hidden or unavailable in "About Device" under "Settings". I need help on how to either make the option visible or activate developer's mode without Build Number. Thank you.
USB Debugging has already been activated on the phone. The option to do that is not available under About Phone.
How to open Developer Options in INFINIX Zero 4 X555:
The device must be turned on, so hold down the Power key for a short while.
In the next step from Main Menu find and select Settings and open About device.
Then tap 7 times in Build number to become a developer.
Excellent! You have just activated the Developer Options.
I don't even know if there is a solution for this, but seeing software like Vysor and others, I was wondering, is it possible to run my USB connected android phone as an emulator, using Android Studio for example? How can I achieve this?
Edit: I don't want to debug or run apps from android studio in my physical phone, I know I can do that. What I want is to run my phone ( with it's data, other apps installed, etc) in mt laptop, as I would with an AVD.
yeah, you can run as a physical device on your android studio. the first thing which you have to do is go your phone settings and click on about device in that press 5-6 times on build number. after clicking on that you get a pop up that your developer mode has turned on.
in next you will see a developer options on your physical device setting.
go into developer options and click a mark on USB debugging.
after that connect your USB cable to your PC. and open the logcat options in the android studio.
you can see that your physical device is connected to your android studio.
yes ,
first go to mobile setting in your mobile device there you find software information
in software information press Build number for 5 times then it shows some toast message you are a developer
after that you will find developer options in settings go to it in that you will find usb debugging ( turn it on)
3)connect device with laptop using usb in and allow all the permissions that required for connection
4)go to android studio you will find your device name .If your device is not found go to run as multiple device there you find your device just click it
Thats all
Enable programmer mode on Your device and enable usb debugging there
If you mean the Physical device to use as a alternatives of Emulator then it is okay. You can use a Android Device to run the apps for debugging. Here is a detailed documentations how to connect your device with android Studio.

Ive get started learning android development and I have this problem that when I connect my phone(samsung s4) for debugging its wont appear on the 'Select Deployment Target' dialog box. I hope you can help me fix this problem.
Question is:
How to debug with external device?
There are several possible solutions
first you should enable usb debugging
Solution 1
go to
About device=>tap 7 times on build number=>you are now a developer
go to
settings => developer options => enable usb debugging
Solution 2
download samsung driver for samsung galaxy phones
and try again
Did you remember to activate USB debugging?
To activate it, open settings -> about device(can be about phone or about tablet) -> tap "Build number" a few times until a toast comes up that says "You are now a developer".
You will get toasts saying "You are now X steps away from being a developer".
WHen it reaches 0, you will not see that message, you will see "You are now a developer" and can access the developer settings.
From there, go into the developer settings, find and activate USB debugging.

UPDATE
If you have activated USB debugging AND it still doesn't show up, see if the drivers are installed. When I got my S6 and tried to connect it, it wouldn't show up anywhere. For me, the solution was to open WIndows Update and download the driver that now showed up there.

Is there is any way to connect non nexus devices as emulator in android studio?
If you are window user, first install Lenovo Driver for Window,
If Developer Option is not enabled, Setting > About Phone > Press BuildNumber 7 times
Go to Developer Options and please enable USB Debugging.
If popup appear, please tap to allow device.
And then , you can run your Android Projects with your real device
You can simply plug in your phone with Developer Mode enabled. When you click on Debug, it automatically shows up your phone. It is as simple as that.
Turn on Developer mode by tapping 5 times on the build number.
Go to Developer options, turn on USB debugging.
Plugin the device
A popup will appear. Click on allow device.
You are all done !
When I run the android emulator it gets stuck on the android animation. After I have waited 1 hour it said "Proccess system is not responding". I've tried to delete it and create a new one but it didn't work. I want to start android developing but I'm about to give up because nothing works. Please help.
Thanks in advance.
Try re-installing the avd. or better still you can use an android device an Emulator, which is better and faster. to use an android device follow this steps.
1. Get an android device and a usb cable.
2. Go to settings on your android device and select developer options.
If your device does not have the developer options, goto about phone and click on Build number 7 times., go back to settings (Developer options would have appered by then)
select developer options, turn it on and enable debugging.
3. plug your device into your system.
4. your phone will notify you on access to degug.. Accept.
5. Close any avd you might have opened before..
6. Run your app..
You are good too go...The app should run on your android device..
