On Release Note of Google VR SDK for Unity v1.40 (April 2017)
https://developers.google.com/vr/unity/release-notes
Note: You must enable dynamic library loading in VrCore to get the
latest C++ GVR Updates. To do this, go to Settings > Developer Options
Enable Library Loading. If Developer Options are not visible, tap 7 times on Build Version.
I'm looking for on Nexus 5X(7.0), Nexus 6P(O Preview), Pixel XL(7.1),
I cannot find "Enable Library Loading" setting in Developer Options.
What's mean this?
This option is only available from the VR developer options.
To access the option :
Open a VR app, for example the Daydream app for the Pixel XL
Go into the settings menu, either via a regular menu (in the Daydream app for example), or by pressing the small gear in the top right corner if you are in stereo mode
You should see a settings menu with "Build Version" at the bottom of the list : tap on it several time to activate the developer mode
Once the developer mode is activated, you should find the option "Enable GVR SDK Library loading" in it.

(Sorry, not sorry for the noob question)
I'm making my first Android. I'm going through this tutorial on the Android Developers site and it says to open the "Settings" from the "Developer Options" but there is no context ... I can't find the Developer Options when I browse through the menus or search in Help... Where is this fabled "Settings" app?
I'm trying to let it know that my Pixel is attached by USB. Where can I find this setting?
You need to make some hidden actions to enable developer option.
Refer this link https://developer.android.com/studio/debug/dev-options
On Android 4.1 and lower, the Developer options screen is available by default. On Android 4.2 and higher, you must enable this screen as follows here:
Open the Settings app.
(Only on Android 8.0 or higher) Select System.
Scroll to the bottom and select About phone.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Build number 7 times.
Return to the previous screen to find Developer options near the bottom.
The confusion is that I was looking for a settings app on my Mac, not on my phone... Figured it out.
Huawei's P20 has an iPhone X like notch on the top of the screen. Can this "notch" be emulated in Android Studio so it is possible to test how an app is rendered on it without owning a P20?
I looked in the settings and it is possible to select a "skin" in the Hardware profile but Huawei's P20 is not part of it.
Follow the screen shots.
first make sure 9.0 (api 28) run in your Emulater or testing device.
Open System settings.
Open Developer option (*if u not found developer option please tap 7 times on build number. after that you get developer option.)
Scroll Down Until You Found -> Simulate a Display With a Cutout(click on it)
there is a multiple option to select screen Cutout style.
if you select Tall Display Cutout , your display is like that.
or if you select Double Display Cutout your display like.
So I googled around and it's actually possible to emulate the notch in the developer preview of Android P.
To develope against that, you need to setup an emulator running Android P and then set the notch simulation in the developer settings of android.
Here is the official article to setup that notch simulation in Android P Cutout API
Once that is done you can start testing and adapting to the new changes coming with these notches and Android P.
Yes, its possible to simulate notches in the Android Emulator:
Install Android P
Enable Developer Options
Follow the Steps( Make Sure You Have Enabled Developer Option Before Doing this):
Simulate the notch(Inside Developers Options)
Go to Settings
Click on System
Click on Advanced
Select Developer Options
Scroll Down Until You Found-> Simulate a Display With a Cutout(CLICK ON IT)
This will trigger a Dialog showing Some Options:
None (This is the default behaviour)
Corner Display Cutout(Display's a Cutout on Corner)
Double Display Cutout (Shows Notches Up and Down)
Tall Display Cutout (Shows a tall Notch at the Top)
Select Double Display Cutout or Tall Display Cutout
I did this successfully on emulator "Pixel 3a API 30" by following these steps:
How to Enable Developer mode
Go to System → About emulated device → Build number
Tap/click on "Build number" 5 or more times, until you see the message "you are now a developer"
How to Enable notch/cutout on emulator
Go to System → Advanced → Developer options
Find and tap on option Display cutout (it is not Simulate a Display With a Cutout like on older versions)
Select the option which suits You best (notice the black hole on the top left corner, on the screenshot below)

I've installed Launchy.apk for Google Glass to side-load my custom Glass application. When running Launchy, I get a screen on Google Glass that looks similar to this:
Launch...Glass Settings
...............Custom App Name 1
...............Custom App Name 2
...............Custom App Name 3
When pressing the touchpad on the side once, it highlights Glass Settings. If I press it again, it selects/loads Glass Settings. However, I can't scroll down to get to any of the Custom Apps I have installed... how do I scroll down or run these apps from Launchy? Swiping left or right does not work.
You need to build it from source so make sure you have the latest version:
https://github.com/kaze0/launchy
Also, the Settings menu is obsolete. You have to say "Ok Glass, Run an app".
Is there any option how to enable log on this device? On other devices we have "Take bug report" option in developer options , but on NoteII this option is missing. (The developer options is visible). We have try everything (alogcat, press power+volume button).
As stated here, you will need to do the followings:
If you’ve found that the Developer Options selecting is missing from the Settings of your Android device, it’s probably because you have version 4.2 (JellyBean) of the Android OS. The option is now hidden and has to be enabled first.
Open the Settings app.
Scroll down to the bottom and select About phone or About tablet.
Scroll down to the bottom and tap Build number repeatedly. A message should appear on the screen that says “You are now 4 steps
away from being a developer.” Keep tapping until it says “You are now
a developer.”
4. Now back on the main Settings screen, Developer Options should appear as a selection.
If you are using an older version of android for siii then followw Samsung Galaxy S3: Enable/Disable USB Debugging .
