I am currently coding in Visual Studio 2022 Community Preview. I googled my problem and there I found that changing the repository to Google would solve the problem, but in my android SDK manager, there is no option for changing the repository.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Visual Studio includes an Android SDK Manager that you use to download Android SDK tools, platforms, and other components that you need for developing Xamarin.Android apps.
See Tools -> Android -> Android SDK Manager.
Under Platforms you'll find various Android versions for the emulator and under Tools you can install various tools.
Also
See Tools -> Options -> Xamarin -> Android Settings
and make sure that the Auto Install Android SDKs is checked.
There is a folder path called Android SDK Location, if it's empty you can browse for it in your computer yourself to find it.
I have an Android Studio of version 3.4.2 in which
Android Studio -> Tools -> SDK Manager -> SDK Tools
traversing to this does not show NDK option to download, Android studio only shows NDK (Side by side), Http proxy is selected to no proxy, no vpn is connected for internet.
Is there a way to get NDK option and download from the SDK tools?
Are there any options in the IDE to enable and download?
Any type of help will be considered. thank you!
The name NDK is replaced with Android NDK in recently version of Android Studio.
The picture above show The android ndk r20 already installed.
The alternative way to use the NDK is downloaded stand alone version at Developer NDK and you can choose what version you wants.
Which stand alone version, you need to config the path of NDK inside local.properties in your project.
I download and install android studio 3.0.1 from developer.android.com. but that package did not have any sdk manager. before I had android studio 2.3.1 and I had sdk 25 for that . now I uninstall 2.3.1 and install 3.0.1.
which version of SDK I should download for android studio 3.0.1 and how I should install it? I have a picture from my gradle in android studio 3.0:
from file menu open
settings>Appearance & Behaviour>System Settings>Android SDK
click on SDK Tools, check on show package details
this will display the details in android SDK Build-tools, you can check "on" 26.0.2 to download it.
make sure you have internet connection, if any problems appears while downloading this package, then you have to be sure that proxy settings is correct if you are using it.
another solution is by trying to build the project with newer build tools that you have already downloaded.
I have Android-studio 2.3.2 (which is android-studio-ide-162.3934792-linux.zip) installed, which is the latest stable version. I am using fedora 24. I am using meteor 1.4.4.2
When I build an APK using "meteor build" I get this error:
While building Cordova app for
platform Android: Could not find gradle wrapper within Android SDK.
Might need to update your Android SDK. Looked here: ~/Android/Sdk/tools/templates/gradle/wrapper
It seems to me the path to gradle wrapper has changed on the latest version of Android-studio. I don't have a previous version of Android-studio to prove this though. I've searched for previous versions of Android-studio and could not find them. I have searched for a solution but there is no one out there who seems to be solving this issue.
You will find a solution in this other thread and some explanation in this answer
The explanation is that the linux version of cordova does not search for gradle in the Android studio install folders like for Windows (and even for windows it does not find it if android studion is not installed in c:\program files\android\android studio) or Mac .
On Linux (and maybe for Mac&Windows in future versions of Cordova), you have to install a version of gradle and add it to your path (way to install gradle depends on the version of Linux you're using)
The behaviour was different in the past because android sdk was not inside Android studio like it is now. You could find gradle in the ANDROID_HOME/tools folder.
With recent upgrades, Android SDK structure has changed and it is now part of android studio.
Installing android-sdk_r24.4.1-linux.tgz which installs version 25 or higher version by default solved the problem for me. Because I could not find a way to uninstall Android Studio I had to uninstall and re-install my linux.
See https://gist.github.com/rolandboon/0a5abe1d9c6c515c59ec for downloading and installing the sdk
I'm using MyEclipse 10 on Mac OSX 10.6.8. I installed the Android SDK and the Android ADT plugin. I also made sure to install the SDK tools, the latest version of the platform, and I added the path to the tools directory to my $PATH. When I try creating a new Android Project in Eclipse I get this message: "Your tools installation appears to be out of date (or not yet installed). This wizard depends on templates distributed with the Android SDK Tools.". What could I be missing?
Here's what was missing:
I didn't configure the ADT plugin within eclipse:
