I need your help.
Can someone explain to me why the appearance of ListView (I use ModernListView -> https://github.com/rzaripov1990/ModernListView) is different on Windows platform and Android platform. I am using Custom Style, StyleBook which is modified for Platform Default.
I use Delphi 10.4 CE, Update 2.
On Windows platform both Accessory (Type=More) and GlyphButton (ButtonType=Checkbox) in EditMode are visible.
On the Android platform, however, neither the Accessory (Type=More) nor GlyphButton (ButtonType=Checkbox) in EditMode is visible.
The source code of example can be found on github -> https://github.com/sax15/ListViewExample
Thanks for your help.
i didn't use Firemonkey in the past 2 years now(maybe even longer...), but from what i remember the controls will always look different between Windows and mobile.
sometimes also the behavior is different.
i think even when you set the controls to look native.
Edit -
Here are some useful link about styles and different devices :

Thanks to Eitan Arbel, I realized that I had not changed Style for the Android platform. The Default style was not displaying correctly on the Android. Now I added the Style for the Android and everything works as it should.
I've also updated the example on github -> https://github.com/sax15/ListViewExample

All the videos I watch have a text and design tab, but mine doesn't.
I found this on the internet:
Base.Theme.AppCompat.Light.DarkActionBar
but it didn't work on mine
how can I fix it?
you can switch tab mode using those buttons
"split" view is a relatively new feature to Android Studio. You can read a little about it
here.
You may be using an older version of Android Studio. Be sure that you install the latest version for this feature to be enabled.
Base.Theme.AppCompat.Light.DarkActionBar is related to your app's styling, not the IDE. It isn't really relevant here.
enter image description hereits 3.6.2 i just download it today
By saying visual I mean if there is a sort of option of seeing how the app might look on your phone while developing it using android developer tools kit downloaded from android website? I hope you got the question clear
Yes. You are building the layout with XML.
While you are developing you can switch between XML view and a graphical view.
This is in eclipse. Android studio hase something similar.
There is an layout preview in Eclipse where you could choose from a variety of predefined "devices". Also you could add your own.
I know this may sound a trivial question, but I can't figure it out on my own. I've Googled and searched many many times. I know it may have a simple solution but I don't know where to search anymore. In general, I'm a Windows programmer, but I started programming for Android about 4 months ago. I've developed a fairly extensive application. The problem began when I started programming...my spinners are the solid gray rectangular style (unlike the newer style with the triangle in the lower right corner). When I started developing this app several months ago, I couldn't figure out why my spinners were different (after many hours) so I just ignored it. I'm at the point now of polishing my program and want the newer spinner style. So, I'm beating my head against the wall again. I went to my Android SDK Manager in Eclipse and updated my Android SDK Tools, Platform-tools, and Build-tools. I have the latest versions of all of these (22.3 and 19.0.1). When I create a new project, the newer spinner style appears. However, none of my older projects changed. They still have the same old gray, rectangular type spinners. I tried using a "android format" line command I found while Googling, but no luck with that either. I know there is probably something really simple I can do, but I can't find it. Can anyone help me with this? I'm using ADT Bundle with build v22.2.1-833290 on a Mac OSX Mavericks.
Newer spinner style works from API level 11.
So, you have to run in Android 3.0 and higher devices. If u want the same style in below 3.0 versions, then you have to customize your style. Like, take that newer style type of image and apply as a background to the spinner.
Try using ActionBarSherlock in your code. This will give you an advantage to have actionbar in lower versions of android. Also it contains ICSSpinner(An alternative to androids default spinner), which will give the newer look of spinners in lower versions of android.
Here's the link for ActionBarSherlock

I'm using Mono for Android 4.2.4 with VS 2010. The layout designer does not refresh properly if you change the theme, API version, orientation or device name from the designer toolbar. MonoDevelop works fine.
Is there a resolution for this?
I have not seen one. There are other issues as well, if you modify a xaml file and change widows without saving it, your changes will disappear! While Monodroid is an awesome tool, there are still a few bugs
I have an older 2.x Android app that I am finally getting around to testing out on 3.x, and noticed that I can't seem to create a Live Folder for the application on a 3.1 tablet. Is it possible to create live folders for apps on 3.x+ devices, or are they no longer supported?
They are no longer supported. Instead you can create a widget with a ListView inside.
this app brings back livefolders to honeycomb and above

i used this source code for my project. i think it will also used full for you. http://androidostutor.net/android-live-folder-example/
