Android studio is getting stuck constantly and updating or restarting pc is not helping. Sometimes the emulator would show a previous change that was made to the app, while others it would display a blue screen showing that something went wrong without showing more details. I think is not the Wi-Fi connection because I've tried it even within my university campus and the problem keeps appearing.
When these problems are showing but the blue screen is not showing, I'd notice that neither the buttons of the android emulated nor the changes made to the app would be displayed. Sometimes Android SDK and Expo would work properly without my intervention.
Can someone please illustrate me? This is interfering with my app development without it being a direct problem of my app.

Also, I already searched on StackOverflow and reddit, but I don't find a current answer for this problem.
I'm working on mac and my Android Studio (3.0) freezes when take screenshot of device from logcat. Just freezes and can't do anything finally force Android Studio to quit. I couldn't find anything about this issue around. Is there anyone else who faces this issue?
I faced the same issue and android studio was freezing for me when ever I try to take screenshot of take video recording, then I tried this.
When ever you take screenshot either camera or video.
When the dialog in android studio shows destination where it will save your file, change it to any other folder/location then pre-selected one.
Now click on save. It will save and work fine.
I tried the above and its working fine.
Emulator window shows the app icon, but when i got it run, it says - unfortunately the app has stopped.
i created new projects but still it doesn't work.
please tell me a way out of this.
I have android 4.4.2 emulator. I have created and started it load properly but when I start that again or next days it loads successfully but does not shows when I click on that in task bar in Windows.
Can anyone have this problem and any work around for this?

I am using the hello android tutorial and creating an avd through eclipse. When starting the emulator no image is used. It simply displays a black back screen with the word ANDROID in the center and a blinking cursor at the end of the word ANDROID. I have followed the steps to the T for installing the SDK, Eclipse, and the ADT. Even starting the emulator as a standalone produces the same result. Is there a step I am missing to get the emulator to load an android environment to test in?
How long are you leaving it before you close the emulator? In my personal experience I have found the emulator to take quite a long time (Even up to a minute, sometimes longer) to fully boot up to the home screen.
I'd advise waiting a little bit longer just to make sure you're not closing it before it loads.
Edit:
Also have you tried looking at the log to the bottom of Eclipse? If for some reason there is a problem in fully loading the emulator there may be some sort of error message posted there to keep you informed.
