Order rows in TableLayout - android

I have TableLayout in my xml.

Then, I add rows with buttons in Activity.

When I run application, row with TextViews from XML are on the bottom and Buttons from Java code are on the top. How can I reverse them(Buttons are on the button and row with TextViews are on the top)?

I think this version of addView does what you need (with index = 0)

So, I did it as:

setLayoutParams of FrameLayout in tableRow element / view not showing

If I remove the line indicated, the "elements" are displayed, although they are to big and go partly out of the screen,
if I try to set the width and height (LayoutParams) of an element inside the tablerow, the tablelayout is displayed empty/blank.
What am I doing wrong?

I think you should use the parent viewGruop's layoutparams,maybe you can try use the TableLayout.LayoutParams(100,100) instead.

my table dynamic layout keep appearing in the left side even the gravity is right

what i am trying to do is to make a dynamic table layout .. i mean the rows will be filled dynamically with text views and with scrolling horizontal and vertical but each time when the activity open my table layout start showing from the left side even i set the gravity to be right .. why this is happening?

Make your root LinearLayouts Height and width as match_parent and try gravity to right on your TableLayout

How to dispaly result list into TableLayout row in android?

I have a little bit problem that displaying list data to TextView in Android. My scenario is I have a TableLayout with Default One TableRow. Inside table row, I has been created new LinearLayout. Then, Four TextView created inside LinearLayout. I adding some default value to this textview. My default value is
1, 2014-02-05, S02, 20

Actually, I want to create dynamically TableRow, LinearLayout and TextView. Then, I put the list result to add these. The list result come from sqlite db. But, I can't get what I want. Android scrollable TableLayout with a dynamic fixed header

I have a TableLayout inside a ScrollView, that is I have a scrollable TableLayout! It is populated dynamically when I create Dialog's in different places of an Activity.
Actually everything works fine, but the fact that for every case there's a different header (with a title for each column) on that table and it scrolls along with the rows. As the content of that table is dynamic, the amount (as well as the width) of columns is unknown.
So, basically, that's my problem. I don't see point in posting code, as I need mostly a suggestion/workaround, but if that would help overcome the issue, let me know. Would appreciate some samples very much.

Note that there is a way to have this work every time : what you have to do is create a similar dummy row in the header, and set the texts in both dummies to the longest string you can find in the row (in number of chars, or, even better, do the comparison with Paint.getTextWidths)

Android scrollable TableLayout with a dynamic fixed header is very simple. Follow this steps
Step 1:
Create a TableLayout and use android:layout_alignParentTop="true" this will keep this layout always in top.
Step 2:
With in ScrollView create another TableLayout for contents with out Rows (For Dynamic content).
Step 3:
Add Rows and columns dynamically. While adding each column (TextView) assign the width to an temporary variable.
Ex
tvContentText.measure(0, 0);
tempmaxwidth=tvContentText.getMeasuredWidth();
Step 4:
Check for max width and assign max width to main variable.
Ex:
if (tempmaxwidth > maxwidth)
maxwidth=tempmaxwidth;
Step 5:
After assigning content details. Assign the max width of each column to its header column.
Ex:

Well for me I didn't want to go through the trouble of worrying about alignment of columns so I created this first of all:

Then inside my loop:

Where tbl is the instance of my TableLayout in my view. This works for me.
Of course you will have to initialize SET_TABLE_HEADER to true at the point where you start creating your table.

How to refer to TableLayout cells in code

I have a TableLayout defined in my xml with three columns and four rows plus a heading row.
Each column contains a TextView.

Is there any way of referring to the TextViews in code, without having to id them individually. I was thinking there might be come way of getting row/col views from the tableview.

You can use ViewGroup#getChildAt and ViewGroup#getChildCount. getChildAt on your root TableLayout will allow you to get the TableRows and subsequently calling it on the TableRows will allow you to access the TextViews.
I liked marmor's way of solving this. I modified it somewhat for my own project. I use it to filter out all the textviews of a tablelayout regardless of the number of columns or rows. Here is the code:
TableLayout tableLayout = getView().findViewById(R.id.tableStats);
ArrayList<TextView> textViews = new ArrayList<>();
for(int i = 0; i < tableLayout.getChildCount(); i++){
TableRow tableRow = (TableRow) tableLayout.getChildAt(i);
for(int j = 0; j < tableRow.getChildCount(); j++){
View tempView = tableRow.getChildAt(j);
if(tempView instanceof TextView){
textViews.add((TextView) tempView);
}
}
}
Assuming you have the same number of columns for each row,
this simple method should do the trick:
private View getCellAtPos(TableLayout table, int pos) {
TableRow row = (TableRow) table.getChildAt(pos / NUMBER_OF_COLUMNS);
return row.getChildAt(pos % NUMBER_OF_COLUMNS);
}
