Not specifically a programming question, but I have not found another stackexchange to put it on.
What stops people from running the android kernel on their android devices, but instead of the Dalvik JVM and other android libraries, put MeeGo libraries instead? Wouldnt that be nice?

I've recently completed an app for iOS. They flat out say you get 70% of the app sales. I'm thinking about developing for android as well. But I can't find anything on Android's sales. (Sorry it isn't exactly a programming question.)
You get 70% on Android also.

I just want to know on what programming language is android operating system and it kernel is written..
Android is built on top of Linux, and a large portion of it is written in C. There are swaths of code written in C++ though. Also, most of the application framework (the stuff you would call android, and almost everything you see on screen) is written in Java.

I have created the Android version of an ios app and am looking for beta-testers. For ios there are at least 2 quite well-managed sites, but for Android I only found a forum where I can post my apk: http://androidforums.com/alpha-beta-testing/
Is there any other site?
Yes, have you tried http://zubhi.co , we always use it for android betas.

I wanted to attach the source for android.jar in eclipse, but for this I need to download an actual source for android 3.0 honeycomb, however android.git.kernel.org is down since Sep.7. Does anybody have a backup repository or maybe just honeycomb source?
Google did not share honeycomb source yet. Wait.

Android is a mobile operating system developed by Google. It is similar to Apple's iOS or Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 operating systems.
