I have tried everything to get this to work and now I have this error:

There is another post on here that says to try this in the manifesto:

This solution does not work for me.
As background, I am running one windowsXP, I had to change the Bootstrap Entries to JRE System Library and JUnit3 to fix another error. I also had to change the path for the emulator to run as well.
This is my first time trying to run the droid app stuff on here. I am using the hello world example. I assume I must run the emulator for the phone first then run my code?

I am getting this error when trying to install my exported unsigned application on tablet pc (running Android 4.04. version). App is normally installing and running in Android emulator in Eclipse. I tried removing and reinstalling it, but that didn't help either. Atached is my AndroidManifest.xml since problem is often there (but I can't see any duplicate code).

The only thing suspicious I see is the uses-library tag, do you have the Google Maps lib in your tablet? (if yes then you should have the following files in it)
/system/etc/permissions/com.google.android.maps.xml
/system/framework/com.google.android.maps.jar
Without the lib the apk installation will fail with INSTALL_FAILED_MISSING_SHARED_LIBRARY error.
I have publish an application on market but is unable to see it on the market website. I hear that is may be due to the /lib in the folder. I got the /lib and have got the admob library in it. I need it. If i delete it, there would be an error. And changing from my current <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="3"/> to <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="3" android:targetSdkVersion="4" /> doesn't help either. adding the extra targetSdkVersion just creates an error. Tried a direct url link also didn't work. Any solution for it?

If you have a green checkmark and can see a label with the text saying "Published" in the top right corner of your app description in the Android Market Console (like here) then you may just have to wait some time.

The issue is that you have not cleaned the project. To clean the project, select 'Project' on the top menu bar then you'll find clean upon which you clean the selected project or clean all projects as per your needs..
After I have set up all the unit test cases for my android application I now also want to do functional testing. But I encouter one problem. As I am developping for the HTC Legend I can, by now, only use android platforms up to 2.1. But in some way it seems that the ActivityInstrumentationTestCase2 won't work.

I read through all tutorials and all I get out of it is, that it should work but it doesn't. Anyway, when I switch to android 2.2 (which is no solution for now) and I use the new constructor, where I only need to hand in the activity class and not the pkg string the emulator will run the tests without complaining.
But there has to be a way to get this running in android 2.1!

Most probably, you didn't write the activity in the Manifest.xml. Would you share it also?

I have been able to create a *.apk file from my code, place the file
in IIS, and download it onto a number of Android phones. Upon the
install, the application works exactly as expected.
However, after a phone is rebooted, the application name is changed to
the fully-qualified Java class name of the activity in the menu (so
"MyActivity" becomes "com.mycompany.MyActivity"), and when I try to go
to Menu > Settings, I get an error that causes android to force close
my application.
Looking into DDMS, I see that I get an error indicating that it can
not find my Preferences activity, despite the fact upon initial
install, it works properly.
I'm using Eclipse on Windows XP, and have several Android devices at
my disposal to test with.
Any idea what's going on?

So I finally got this to work. I think that the package installer on the HTC Hero (and maybe the HTC Droid Eris) has some issues.
I uninstalled my application from the phone, changed the name of my main activity, and re-deployed it onto the Hero. I started to immediately get a "Force Close." I connected the device to DDMS and looked at the error. It was still looking for my old activity name. I factory reset the device and reinstalled the same package (with the updated name) and everything works as expected.
So it seems that the package installer is caching some part of the old manifest or something, not really sure what exactly is going on there. I may play with it some more if I get time.
I don't know if someone else could verify this problem, maybe it's something that should be taken up with HTC?
