Zxing change the action intent - android

I added the Zxing library to my android app but there is a problem.
When you already have a bar code scanner installed it presents you
with a popup.
I don't want this to happen and changed the the action intent.
This is working, but when I open my app for the first time and select
the bar code scanner it crashes.
When I open it for the second time everything works fine.
Can anybody please help me?

I've already answered this a few times on the mailing list. As I said, you need to pay attention to ActivityNotFoundException.

Android throws this when you start an intent for which there is no app, and that's what's happening here. You need to handle this yourself by catching the exception and, maybe, sending the user to Market to download.
This is exactly what the code in android-integration in zxing does, which is why I also already told you to look at that.

app still running after disable

I’ve installed an app I’ve written as a system app that after receiving ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED it runs a service.
The app works just fine, however, I would like to disable it (and not remove it completely).
So I wrote on the command line “adb shell pm disable [The package name]” and after reboot, even though I do not see my app on the menu anymore, I still get a message “Unfortunately [myApp] has stopped”.
Logcat:

Does that mean the boot_completed is still recognized by my app but because it is disabled it cannot run? Or is it something else?
Thanks in advance!
So, apparently I had another app that had the option to activate my app (only when choosing so and not by default), so after reboot, it couldn’t find it’s apk as it was disabled. So I disabled the second app as well.

Google Drive SDK application to upload file

I am trying to use the Google Drive SDK to upload files, but I am getting a pop up saying unfortunately your application has stopped. This is due to a NoClassDefFoundError. I also made sure to include the play services jar and check it in the order and export tab as well.

I am following the quickstart on the developer website I have literally just copied the code. I would expect the quickstart example to work. Someone please point me in the right direction.
In your Android application configuration page, select Google APIs (Google Inc.) (API 17) for Compile with. Also, it would work more stable on real phone than virtual device since virtual device doesn't have play store.

MonoDevelop default M4A application "has stopped unexpectedly"

When I try running the default "Mono for Android Application", I get an error that the application has stopped unexpectedly.
After, (sometimes) I would get an exception in MonoDevelop: System.IO.IOException: DWP Handshake failed.
I'm not sure what could be wrong - I haven't made any changes to the application. Any help would be greatly appreciated - I've been trying to get this running all day.
TIA

I had a similar problem not long after going with the paid version. Simply clean and rebuild to update the references to the new monodroid library.

This is very probably Android bug 21670: sometimes native libraries are not extracted from the .apk, but the installation is still reported as successful:
W/NativeHelper( 98): Failed to cache package shared libs
W/NativeHelper( 98): java.io.IOException: Couldn't create cached binary /data/data/Mono.Android.DebugRuntime/lib/libmonosgen-2.0.so in /data/data/Mono.Android.DebugRuntime/lib
W/NativeHelper( 98): at com.android.internal.content.NativeLibraryHelper.copyNativeBinaryLI(NativeLibraryHelper.java:289)
Check your Android Debug Logs for a message similar to the above to confirm that this is the case.
If you see the above, you need to uninstall your app and as many other packages as possible to free up storage space, then reinstall your app.

How to dismiss the Spinner's Dialog triggered by Spinner inside a WebView?

I am developing an application which contain a WebView.
For some specify URL, the web page may contain some spinner widgets for choosing language, date,etc..
Once I click the Spinner, it is similar to android Spinner such that a Dialog pop up for user to choose items.
However, the Dialog does not dismiss even though the WebView is destroyed.
After the WebView is destroyed, the program crash either I click BACK button to cancel the dialog or I click one of its item.
Is it possible to dismiss this Dialog from host application, or is it possible to get this dialog object to do anything on it?
Here is the log when I cancel the Dialog:
E/AndroidRuntime( 7211): FATAL EXCEPTION: main
E/AndroidRuntime( 7211): java.lang.NullPointerException

E/AndroidRuntime( 7211): at dalvik.system.NativeStart.main(Native Method)
Update: I found that the Dialog is the field mListBoxDialog in WebView. The Dialog is dismissed in destroy() method of WebView but I don't know why it doesn't behave in this way.

java.lang.ClassCastException in Android

Started getting a ClassCastException in a widget I've been working on that I'm not sure what it's having an issue with. I haven't modified the configure class, nor the configure layout, yet I've started getting a stack trace leading back to my configure class after modifying the main layout

Reverting my changes causes the issue to go away, but I'm not doing anything with this file, nor am I modifying any RadioButtons...so what the hell? The line #39 of Configure.java is
EditText prv = (EditText) findViewById(R.id.previous_input);
I don't see how that ties into anything. And the only changes I am making to the entire project are changing some TextViews into Buttons in my main.xml layout which is not referenced in Configure.java. Reverting the Button back to TextView makes the error go away. What causes a "ClassCastException" and what could possibly be going on here?
Try clean your project. Previously you had RadioButton.
