I am trying to implement a RADIUS client on Android; however, I have hit a show-stopper. I'd greatly appreciate any advise or pointers that you could pass along. I am using jradius-core-1.1.4.jar in my project, and it has a dependency on beans.BeanInfo, beans.Introspector, and beans.PropertyInspector; and they have a long list of dependency of other packages. So, can anyone tell me the best way to resolve this. FYI: I using Eclipse to build. Just for the sake of keeping things simple, I hope I can stay that way.
Thank you so much.

Update:
11/2/2011 I have looked at http://code.google.com/p/dalvik/wiki/JavaxPackages. It is a very attractive method, but I am afraid it won't work in this scenario. It is because I am using the package indirectly.
I have worked around the problem by using TinyRADIUS. (Thanks, David.)

Im trying to figure out how all of android's gradle build tasks work and Ive found the open source project online but digging through it hasnt really shed much light on how each task for a project works.
https://android.googlesource.com/platform/tools/build/+/6d7fd0d2eff092abf1aaf44d03756b24570b390c/gradle/src/main/groovy/com/android/build/gradle?autodive=0%2F%2F%2F%2F
For example I would love to know the exact script it would take to replicate assemble or package and within those I would like to know exactly how to replicate any their child tasks.
Does documentation like this exist anywhere or are developers expected to bang their heads against the computer screen cursing gradle's creators for hours on end while they figure things out on their own.
And please resist the urge to leave a "read the manual" answer unless you leave a link pointing to what I asked for.
I didnt find any documentation which would outline what I really wanted but over the last few days I put it all together from reading Gradles documentation and doing a lot of debugging. It would be nice if in the future there was clear documentation on all the steps in one place so others dont have to spend days to figure things out.

Eclipse-PhoneGap Tutorial
I would like to check by code if the app installed on device is the last update. I've tried many things but does not work. Finally I've found this interensting API: https://code.google.com/p/android-query/wiki/Service. I'm trying to implement it but i find it kinda difficult for me (I'm quite new in this world). I would like to know if anybody can help me to do this. I don't care if I have to use another API or maybe I can use a google's API to get this information. I just wanto get the version number like: "Application.getLastUpdate" (this is just an example) and compare to app installed version. Can anybody give me a hint?? I would appreciate it too much. Sorry if I haven't explain well myself, I can try it again. Thanxs a lot.
I have lost much time solving this problem, and looks like I'm back at the beginning.
I want to run the full screen ADs from the Mobclix inside my Unity3D game. I found many tutorials but I can't get any of them working.
As far as I know, there are 2 approaches:
1.) extending unity player
2.) make JAVA side method for showing the AD's and just call it from the unity(c#)
Most important for me is to make it work, but I would prefer 2. approach.
Can somebody suggest me something and maybe give some hints/examples what am I missing?
I tried both ways. I made an JAVA plugin but when I try to call a method nothing happens or I got an error from JNI something like: "can't find that method", my manifest is not configured correctly, or my app crashes.
If I'm making a plugin (not extending UnityPlayer) do I need to add something to the manifest to support my activity/make my class able to call inside unity? How would the manifest look like? Can it be done that way?
If I'm extending the UnityPlayer how would mthe anifest file looks like and how can I call my method for that will show ADs?
I tried to call java/android methods from the unity/c# and that worked, but when I try to call my own simple method from the plugin it won't work. Looks like I'm missing something in that part. (connecting the JAVA plugin and the unity3d)
I'm experienced in the C#, but my JAVA knowledge is really at the minimum. I'm sure this can work (there are people that are selling solutions) but looks like I'm not smart enough and keep missing something :)
I tried many things, I stopped counting and deleted most of them. Can somebody tell me the right way to do this? A working example would be really useful...
Thanks for taking the time to read all of this, I hope there will be some useful responses because I'm starting to get depressed :)
Unfortunately, it looks like the absolute easiest way is to purchase a plugin, made just for this. I found one here, which costs $50, and it specifically stated it supports fullscreen Mobclix ads.
There is a free one developed by the staff at Unity3D forums, however, it seems more complex, in that you must run it on the actual android device, and I am not sure if it supports full screen. You can find the discussion thread here.
Hope these links helped!
Edit: I found a much more affordable £6.00 Unity3D plugin, which you can get here. It did not explicitly state support for fullscreen, however.
Note: I found a tutorial from the very same website that offers the £6 plugin. This tutorial might be worth checking into, however it involves compiling your own Unity Android plugin. Because it is from the same website, it may be worth checking into. It is specifically a plugin to display Mobclix ads on a Unity3D for Android app.
How could I use eigenface on my android application to do some facial recognition? I've found some project such as faint http://faint.sourceforge.net/#mozTocId837572
But have no idea how to use it in my own application.
Can anyone help me?
Thank you
This is a tutorial I used to learn about basic Faint face detection. However it did not work for me ad-hoc, I even ended up downloading the whole Faint source and changing it a bit so that I wouldn't get a NullPointerException. I found the code included in this project (I am not quite sure if it is legally included). The code should help you get acquainted with the basic functionalities.
However, when I got everything fixed I did not quite get the expected results: on a single passport pic I got up to 7 faces detected. Maybe it was just me misconfiguring the library... Many people seem to praise this library.
Hope my bit helps you get started with faint.
