com.android.ddmlib.SyncException: No space left on device in android - android

I have big size application when i run in emulator I got this exception
com.android.ddmlib.SyncException: No space left on device
can anybody tell how to solve this problem?

Open AVD Manager
Tools -> AVD Manager
Click On Edit Option Of Your Emulator From Actions Column On Right Side Of AVD Manager.
Its Open Virtual Device Configuration Window, Now Find "Show Advanced Setting" Button And It Will Show "Memory And Storage" Row Over There "Internal Storage" Have Some MB, So You Need To Increase It Like 2000,3000... And More
Than Finish It And Run Your Emulator Again Its Working Fine.

Create the new emulator and give the more size or unistall all the applications in the old emulator.

Essentially, that means you have a memory problem. More than likely it is a leak.
First restart your phone and verify you are still getting the error. If so you are going to need to start digging in your code and find out where you are leaking!
Need more help? Post some code!
Switch DEBUG USB off and on again. It works for me. It seems to be some sort of problem with USB sync when debuggin in my device.
Hope it helps!

Install a new emulator then go to the advanced settings, find storage and memory and increase memory there.

Error when running emulator: Not enough disk space to run AVD

I get the following error message when trying to run the emulator from Android Studio:
Emulator: emulator: ERROR: Not enough disk space to run AVD 'Nexus_6_API_28'. Exiting...
I tried to increase the size of RAM space but it didn't help.
Software: Debian, Android studio virtual device.

The issue is not with the amount on your hard drive but the setting requesting how much storage space is required by the emulator.
In Android Studio, follow these steps to reduce the hard drive space requested by the emulator:
Click Tools -> AVD Manager
Click the edit icon for the emulator
Click the Show Advanced Settings
Under Memory and Storage, reduce the Internal Storage, specify something like 2048MB for an emulator that comes with Google Play store or less for emulators without the Google Play Store.
Try to run again and see if it works.
If the above doesn't work, try wiping out the user data from the emulator. You can wipe the user data from the actions sections on the AVD Manager screen.
It's not about RAM, if you are beginner just use the recomended amount of RAM when creating new AVD. In order to solve your particular problem, Go to the disc where is stored your AVD files, mine is in this Path:
E:\avd.android\avd\Nexus_5X_API_27_1.avd
and free up some space on that hard drive. Do not delete anything from avd folder ! If you do not know on which hard drive is stored your AVD files, go to Tools->AVD Manager
Choose your emulator and in it's drop-down list press the Show on Disc button. It will take you to that hard drive, then just free up some space. Not sure about minimum space, I have 20Gb and it works perfectly, you can start from minimum 5Gb. Also in that drop-down list try to Wipe the Data first and run the app, before trying to do all mentioned above.
Just follow below steps
1 Increases the size of Internal Storage in AVD
2 Free the C drive in your computer at lease 5-10 GB.
The Emulator will run automatically. Hope it helps
I solved the same problem by delete some virtual device from AVD and it's work well
A more stable and reliable solution is to change your AVD path to another hard drive because the default AVD path is always on main drive, can be easily

Tutorial
Quick answer:
Delete your AVD and recreate a new one.
Deleting all the virtual devices from Avd manager, and installing required ones helped me. Although I followed all the above mentioned steps one by one. I advice you guys to try this out if nothing works.
Check the Event Log of your Android Studio. It might tell you the exact reason. In my case it said
Emulator: emulator: ERROR: Not enough space to create userdata
partition. Available: 5753.562500 MB at
/home/xxxxxxx/.android/avd/Pixel_3_API_30.avd, need 7372.800000 MB.
So I freed up some space, and it worked.
just free some space in the hard disk for the emultor internal storage.
Simply wiping data of emulator is working.

Android Virtual Device/ Android Emulator - Decryption Unsuccessful

I just installed Android Studio, and I am very new with this program.
So when I run the Android Emulator it says: "To Start Android, enter your password", although I have never set a password. When I just enter a word with 4 letters it says "The Password you entered is correct, but unfortunately your data is corrupt".
After that, I have to Reset the Phone, but when I do that the same menu with "To Start Android, enter your password" appears.
Maybe it is just an easy mistake, but as I said I am new with this. I also did some research on the internet but I did not find anything useful.
this is the 2 images that it showe me:
1)
2)
and after i clicked on reset phone, nothing happened.
I would be very glad if someone has an answer for this.
This is a late response, but thought this simple fix might help anyone else who comes across this problem in the future. What worked for me is the following:
In VS2017 ==> Tools ==> Android ==> Select: Android Device Manager
In the Android Device Manager window, you'll see your Android Emulator.
Make sure the far right column contains the button "Start" (if "Stop" appears, click "Stop")
Right Click the device, and select the "Factory Reset" option in the menu.
Your emulator should now be working. Good luck.
open AVD and right click on the emulator choose ->Wipe data option.
Check that your avd folder path doesn't include national symbols (in my case it looked like C:\Users\Пользователь\.android).
After I changed this path everything is working.
See this post of how to change path:
Possible to change where Android Virtual Devices are saved?
Check out "Viewing and managing your Avds" part. Try wiping data of your emulator or create a new emulator for yourself.
https://developer.android.com/studio/run/managing-avds.html
enable GoogleAPIs and Google Play Store
Change the Android version. I was creating an emulator with Oreo 8.1 and got stuck in with the same issue.
I created another with Marshmallows 6.0 and no more asking for password.
Then if you are using Oreo 8.1 try with antoher.
I created a virtual device, and after, I had to reinstall the emulator.
When I booted the virtual device, I got this issue.
I deleted it and made a new one, and it worked fine.
Just go the AVD Manager and Wipe Data. The problem will be solved.
Here are the steps I followed after my device corrupted.
Close your emulator
Open AVD manager, right click on your device and click "Cold Boot Now" button.
Sorry for a very Late Answer. But you can't create a x64 Virtual Device on x64 System. Your device needs to be x86.
Just a warning to anyone getting this error on an emulator instance that was working and you cold booted or something. I got this error and just stopped and cold booted again and it was gone! So try that first before wiping your emulator instance unnecessarily.
Deleted the device in the Device Manager and created a new one with a higher OS version (Oreo -> Pie). The error disappeared. Did not find the real reason yet.

DDMS showing empty file explorer for online emulator

I am facing this problem from many day,i searched a lot but not found any convenient answer.
Whenever I start a emulator ,after some time when I see DDMS its show the emulator online but its File Explorer is show nothing . Its visible again when I restart my emulator again or restart Eclipse .but I dont want this ,I want a quick solution.
One more thing I have already set the device timeout to a higher value but its also not working. Here is Screen Shot of my DDMS .Can anyone have a Quick Solution. Thanks in advance.
I see that the question was posted back in 2013 so there was probably some other problem at play then... but for those seeing this problem today it's probably because of an issue with Emulators targeting Android 24 or 25. Currently it appears that the Android Device Monitor is not able to display the file contents for Emulators targeting Android 24 or 25. It is however able to show file contents for Emulators targeting Android 23. Try launching an Emulator targeting Android 23 and you should see the Emulator's file contents in the File Explorer tab as expected.
I've created an Android bug report here.
Edit: a couple more bug reports about this here and here.
from command prompt move to \sdk\platform-tools\
and type
adb kill-server
and then
adb start-server
I fixed it by the following steps: 1. Open windows task manager and kill adb.exe process. 2. Close eclipse and restart it. Then it works.
Hope it helps.
But i cant understand about online emulators. Do you mean virtual devices ?
What you have to do is first launch the emulator ,then go the Window->show view -> other -> Android -> devices. Then you will be able to select the device that is online, now go the file explorer, which which will show all the files related to that specific device.Another point need to be noted here is ,the files in the file explorer varies from device to device
You have to keep the device selected in the devices view.

Full queue, lose event in Android Emulator

I'm using the Android emulator running API version 15 from the SDK tools and in the console I'm getting this error:
[Date - Emulator] ##KBD: Full queue, lose event
I can't click on anything obviously. I googled it and the only solution is to delete the emulator and recreate it. This works for a while but then I have the same problem again.
Does anyone know what causes this error and how to fix it?
You can try the following to clear the old data and applications (your emulator will return to its default settings and data)
Tools --> Android --> AVD Manager
Then select your Emulator
From Actions column hit the arrow and select Wipe Data
I was facing same problem, There is Nothing RAM problem.
Solution is here's
Go to Tools -> AVD Manager ->Find the emulator which you are having this error -> Right click on your emulator and click on COLD BOOT NOW.
i probably figured it out. try this:
While creating the android virtual device, you must have given its size in KIBs or upto 32 mibs as shown in one of the tutorials on web.
now delete the previous device and make a new device giving its size as 512 MIB. It solved my problem.
Hope it'll work for you also, just give it a try.
I have ran into the same problem and I realized that I had dedicated only 256 MB of RAM for the virtual device. It had simply run out of memory.
Here's the solution:
-Go to Tools -> Android -> AVD Manager
-Find the emulator you are having this error on.
-Click to the "edit" button next to it. (In 3.0, this appears as a green pencil)
-Click "Show advanced settings"
-Scroll down and assign some more RAM to the device, 1GB should cut it, 2GB is definitely enough if you are running a simple app. I would also recommend assigning 512 MB of heap.
-Hit finish. Exit the emulator and restart it.
You should be good now, I hope it's been helpful. Happy coding!
this is a bug in android emulators. i also had the same problem. use 64bit linux for development to minimize such issues.
** freezing problem is there on 64-bit linux machines also, but the frequency of such problems is highly reduced. also emulators behave notably faster.
Sorry, I don't know whether this will help you... I had many problems when I try to run the emulator in Apple Mac mini. Whenever I run the emulator, machine asked me to restart. When contact Apple support, they told me it's a problem with less Memory. Just check and see how the memory is utilized by the emulator.
This is a common issue if you not provide enough resources to your virtual device or your virtual device is stuck some how.
Any one of these solutions should work
if you don't have anything useful in your virtual device, you can wipe it. by simply going to
Tools > Android > AVD Manager
Then select your virtual device
Right click select Wipe Data
Each time you start a virtual device it maintain state and pre installed apps in its memory so a cold boot will also be a good option.
to cold boot simple follow first two steps from above and select Cold Boot Now.
Now you are good to go!

DDMS Not Showing Threads From Device

I'd like to check for memory leaks in my Android app using the DDMS feature in Eclipse. When I launch an emulated device, the threads display properly for the emulated device, starting with 8600 and up.
However, when I connect my Droid to the PC, the device shows up just fine in DDMS. The logcat is generated correctly, and I can view the file structure. However, threads do not display. I get "no client selected" in the Threads pane, and there is no drop-down icon next to the device listing.
Do I need to change some particular setting in Eclipse? Is this maybe a driver issue?
Eclipse Preferences (OSX) > Android > DDMS > check Thread Updates Enabled by Default
Add Android Device view to get device pan(e) noted above
Set android:debuggable=true (two g's) in app tag as noted above
Run your app in emulator
Select device in device pane
Click the update threads button
Enjoy
Make sure you have android:debuggable="true" in you application tag in the manifest file
This is expected behavior. The issue is your droid is not in debug mode. Notice that in the Devices pane, beside the version number, debug is stated against the emulated device but not in the case of the droid.
From what I have found so far - on the droid, only an app can be run in debug mode; and only this will be listed under your device in DDMS.
I don't know how to run(/boot) the entire droid in debug mode, or if it is possible. So far as it appears, there is no way to boot an entire real device in 'debug' more.
Go to DDMS
Select device in device pan
Look at header of this pane. You can see update threads
You can see thread and updates from device
If you use Intellij Idea like me - run monitor from tools-> android, other way Idea built in ADB conflict with ddms.
On Android Studio :
On the DDMS (Dalvik Debug Monitor Server) Screen:
Show View -> and then select the profiling view you need.
