image won't show in tableView - android

I'm creating a tableView in appcelerator (Android) and I want to add an image to it. This is just a test because I also had some problems with it in my project and I wanted to try it out first somewhere else so I wouldn't ruin my whole project.
I first added the standard png's to see if he would show those, and he did. But when I add a png that I've created, he refuses to show it in the tableView. Does someone know why he refuses to show the image? (I created that png in photoshop by changing one of the standard png's and adding my image to it.)
var win = Titanium.UI.createWindow({
title:'tableViewRow',
backgroundColor:'#fff'
});
var regData = [
{leftImage:'KS_nav_ui.png', title:'gft', left:20, color:'black'},
{rightImage:'KS_nav_views.png', title:'grofvuil', left:20, color:'black'},
{leftImage:'glas.png', title:'glas', left:20, color:'black'}
];
var tbl = Titanium.UI.createTableView({
data:regData
});
win.add(tbl);
win.open();
Here's an image of the result I get in my android emulator (android api: Google APIs Android 2.2 and screen:HVGA)

If you are using AppC 1.8, you may just need a forward slash in your path '/'. (or backward if Windows)

I've solved it. What I did is I ran the application in an android amulator. I closed the app and went back to the homescreen (where you can save some apps). I pressed on menu and went to the settings. Than I went to applications. I opened 'manage applications' and remove the application. I closed the emulator and ran it again and the images were shown.
I don't know why you have to do it, but it worked for me. I hope I can save someone the frustration by posting the answer (I know I had them :D)

KivyMD, can't see icons in android but works on linux

I'm just created .apk file with buildozer.But as i said in topic, can't see any icon on device.Everything works and looks fine in Linux. But in device,all icons are blank. This is my buildozer.init requirements: (my ndk,sdk,minapi,ndk_api values are default)
requirements = python3,kivy==1.11.1,https://github.com/kivymd/KivyMD/archive/master.zip
If i use kivymd==0.104.1, i can see icons in android but can't use some commands like : MDTab.get_tab_list() , MDTab.switch_tab() (I asked that problem before in here.So i have to use master branch version because i need to switch MDTabs after some button clicks.But now,i can't see any icon.Is that bug or can someone help me ? Thank you..
(Last note: Im removing .buildozer file before change requirements versions.)

Taking Screenshots Using Qt C++ on Android

thanks for checking my question out!
I'm currently working on a project using Qt C++, which is designed to be multi-platform. I'm a bit of a newcoming to it, so I've been asked to set up the ability to take screenshots from within the menu structure, and I'm having issues with the Android version of the companion app.
As a quick overview, it's a bit of software that send the content of a host PC's screen to our app, and I've been able to take screenshots on the Windows version just fine, using QScreen and QPixmap, like so:
overlaywindow.cpp
{
QPixmap screenSnapData = screenGrab->currentBackground();
}
screenGrabber.cpp
{
QScreen *screen = QGuiApplication::primaryScreen();
return screen->grabWindow( QApplication::desktop()->winId() );
}
Unfortunately, Android seems to reject QScreen, and with most suggestions from past Google searches suggesting the now-deprecated QPixmap::grab(), I've gotten a little stuck.
What luck I have had is within the code for the menu itself, and QWidget, but that isn't without issue, of course!
QFile doubleCheckFile("/storage/emulated/0/Pictures/Testing/checking.png");
doubleCheckFile.open(QIODevice::ReadWrite);
QPixmap checkingPixmap = QWidget::grab();
checkingPixmap.save(&doubleCheckFile);
doubleCheckFile.close();
This code does take a screenshot, but only of the button strip currently implemented, and not for the whole screen. I've also taken a 'screenshot' of just a white box with the screen's dimensions by using:
QDesktopWidget dw;
QWidget *screen=dw.screen();
QPixmap checkingPixmap = screen->grab();
Would anyone know of whether there was an alternative to using QScreen to take a screenshot in Android, or whether there's a specific way to get it working as compared to Windows? Or would QWidget be the right track? Any help's greatly appreciated!
as i can read in Qt doc : In your screenGrabber.cpp :
QScreen *screen = QGuiApplication::primaryScreen();
return screen->grabWindow( QApplication::desktop()->winId() );
replace with :
QScreen *screen = QGuiApplication::primaryScreen();
return screen->grabWindow( 0 ); // as 0 is the id of main screen
If you want to take a screenshot of your own widget, you can use the method QWidget::render (Qt Doc):
QPixmap pixmap(widget->size());
widget->render(&pixmap);
If you want to take a screenshot of another app/widget than your app, you should use the Android API...

Images randomly break in PhoneGap/WebView on Android 4.4

I am experiencing a strange bug in PhoneGap on Android 4.4, for which I couldn't find any solution online. In my app, I am loading a lot of different images from a remote server, and as the user navigates back and forth, new images are loaded on each page (4 at a time, to be specific, through jQuery-generated html). After having navigated back and forth for a little while, some images will randomly not show up and instead show the typical "broken image" icon.
Now, here comes the strange part: I have been following the instructions at jQuery/JavaScript to replace broken images and done a few tests of my own. In conclusion, the naturalWidth and naturalHeight parameters report the right sizes of the images, and complete reports true for all images. Therefore, the solutions mentioned in the above SO thread don't work at all. Changing the image src doesn't help, either with or without a setTimeout (I tried adding the current timestamp as a parameter to the image path as well).
Did anyone else encounter this issue at all, or am I going crazy here? :)
EDIT: By the way, no error is ever reported. Therefore, no error handler is called when loading the image, making it useless to solve the problem with the already suggested methods (see the link above).
This is how i handle error images,
<img src="images/imageName.jpg" onError="onErrorFunc(this);" alt=" " />
function onErrorFunc(elem){
var imgUrl = "https://alternative-image";
elem.onerror = function (){
elem.src='images/noimage.jpg';
}
elem.src=imgUrl;
}
Hope it helps!

getting Eclipse to see recently added Drawables (png artwork)

I'm having trouble getting Eclipse to see that I've just put a new image into my project when referencing that image using R.drawable.this_text
So I drag my png into myProject/res/drawable-hdpi in Eclipse's Project Explorer. The name of the image is this_text and it's a png!
So I go into my application and I want to put this on the screen; So here's the code for that...
private void setTitle()
{
ImageView title = new ImageView(this); //this extends activity
title.setBackgroundResource(R.drawable.this_text);
...
}
This I have done before and each time I do it I experience the same thing:
if i just dragged my this_text.png into the Project Explorer in eclipse, the word "this_text" will be underlined in red, and not allow me to compile or proceed. I try to F5 (refresh) the project. I try refreshing the image foldr, the src, the actual java...etc! I try closing and opening eclipse but nothing really works. So I quit for afew minutes and work elsewhere in my application, and eventually this error goes away!
Well I'm impatient today-- And I'd rather know how to solve this incase I need to do any quick programming! So does anyone know what to do?
I'm using eclipse Version: Indigo Service Release 1.
Thanks- Ethan
R files for android are generated. Rather than refreshing you should be able to CLEAN the project which should fix your issue. You could even just delete the error from the problems list which would allow for compilation to start and for the generated R file to be created. Or you could make a change to an xml which would also allow for the file to be regened. As always make sure you are up to date on your tool chain.

how can i use use local images in my titanium project

i'm trying to change my background of a window in titanium , unfortuantly its not working. i also tried to use many local images and they did't load. any help is highly appreciated
,How can use my resources ?
var win1 = Titanium.UI.createWindow({
title:'Hello',
backgroundImage:'back.png',
});
You can do that, just like that. backgroundImage is supported on window.
Just make sure you use the right path:
backgroundImage: Ti.FileSystem.resourcesDirectory + 'back.png'
Here I am assuming back.png (case sensitive) is actually in the resources directory root.
