What selection parameters should i need to give to filter them in my query.

Everything works, and the program displays all contacts from my phone book, but I want a certain number of contacts to be displayed. For example:
I open the program and load the first 50 contacts from the phone book, after scrolling, the next 50 contacts are loaded to the end of the list. and so on

I assume the reason you want this is because loading all contacts is very slow.
The reason it's very slow is because you currently have 1 query per contact, so if a user has 500 contacts, you'll need to run 500 queries.
You can reduce the number of queries to just one, then I assume you won't need the limit thing.

I have a contact list in a sort order. But in my contact list the name is duplicating with same number. I think the issue is because of the contact list sync with different account.

You're seeing duplicate contacts because they belong to different accounts. i.e. Same number can show up 3 times if it is synced with Facebook, WhatsApp, and Google account. You can find more information here Android Account Manager

In this code, only contacts that are associated with Google Account are selected. Similarly, if you want to get list of WhatsApp Contacts only you can replace "com.google" with "com.whatsapp"

Yes, your contact list sync many account. You should filter contact with Account type : ContactsContract.CommonDataKinds.Phone.ACCOUNT_TYPE_AND_DATA_SET.

You can search for the aggregated Contact instead of all RawContacts. This will give you only 1 contact with the given name (like in the Contacts app).

I want to filter what numbers I am getting from Android based on which contacts the user chose to display in his contact book. (For example only contacts saved on the device when all other contacts are excluded)

Edit: To clarifify, in the contactbook you got the "Display options". In there ist the "select contacts to display"-option, and I want to read the contacts that are shown based on the users choice there. So if a user choses to show only SIM-contacts, read only SIM-contacts, if he choses to only show Phone-Contacts, show onyl phone contacts etc...

This could be a long operation (depending on no. of contacts), hence you should use CursorLoader class (A loader that queries the ContentResolver and returns a Cursor) for this.

I'm able to fetch all the contacts from Contact list in android(phone numbers and emails)
but fetching all of them takes long time.
To speed up this I have stored them once in my application. But now i can't get the updated contacts. How does they need to be synced with my application?
Problem arises when I try to display them in a list because a user database of phone numbers and emails exceeds the 2000. I'm currently using base adapter implementation for this.
Can somebody help me out for large contact database?

i had same issue , i have used ResourceCursorAdapter which fetches contacts as fast as Contact API from android....
I think you need to have a service (or) Asynch task something like that which periodically updates contacts from phone to your local app. Otherwise you can't synch.
