Android Devlopment LG-Esteem More Menu Not Visible - android

I am developing under Eclipse with the ADT add-on. I have an LG-MS690 running Android version 2.2.1 and a new LG-MS910 (Esteem) running Android version 2.3.4.
I am using the standard Menu functions to add menu items. On the old LG-MS690, the More button shows the second set of menu selections. On the newer Esteem, the second set of menu selectios is marked by dividers, but they are transparent and only show a selection when you press an entry; you can slide off of a pressed entry to avoid executing it.
I tried a simpler applications, a version of Notes, and added several menu buttons (without functionality). This had the same results on the LG-Esteem.
I tried updating the Android SDK, ADT, and Eclipse to the latest versions. Nothing has changed this odd behavior. Other apps from the Market, such as ES File Explorer, display the More selections properly.
What am I missing?

I have to download some Palette items Android Studio 3.5 again & again

( I'm a Beginner in android development )
Whenever i open a new project in android studio (or even the existing ones) In Palette Box some items have a download icon in front of them, and I have to download these items whenever i open a new project in android studio ,to use them.
This is very annoying for me, like if the internet is not available then i can't have the access to use these items.
So, is there any way so that i can download them permanently and use them even when there is no internet available.
I have reinstall the android studio 3.5 but still the problems remains the same.

Overflow in android system bar xamarin.forms

i'm having a problem with mi UI, when it renders, i'm having this as result:
I want to know where to delete it from that menu, I'm using xamarin forms
This menu shouldn't be displayed if your project is targeting Android version >=14 (4.0). Go to you project settings and change it to a newer version (my personal default choice is 4.0.3 (v15)).

Deactivate Appcompat on Android Studio

I moved from using Eclipse to use Android Studio, but I foun with a problem, AppCompat is bringing me some problems and I don't want to use it so I tried to deactivated but I didn't find a way. There is an option in Android Studio to deactivate it? Because manually adapting the project (changing inherations, prefixes and themes) after it has been built takes a lot of time.
The problem is that when using the AppCompat, I can't create an Overflow menu. If I write "app:ifRom" the item appears on the ActionBar, that's right. But if I write "app:never" the overflow icon (3 dots) never appear, and if I touch the hardware key for opening the overflow menu, the app suddenly stops. That is why I do't want to use the AppCompat, because without using it (using the android: prefixes instead of app: prefixes) I didn't have any problem.
If you could help me solving one of this questions: How to deactivate AppCompat on Android Studio or why the "app:never" prefix is not working I would be gratefull.

Can't preview Android XML layout - LayoutLib is too recent. Update your tool?

After upgrading the Android SDK through the AVD manager, I cannot preview XML layouts any longer in eclipse for Android 2.2 previews. Eclipse says, "LayoutLib is too recent. Update your tool!"
Using the drop-down and choosing any other platform works fine. Why is this happening for Android 2.2 previews?
I have also updated the ADT plugin for ecplise as well. Any suggestions?
This is a bug: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=17369
Updating from 10.0.1 to 12.0.0 resolved this issue for me.
In Eclipse, Help --> Check for updates
You'll likely see three items to be updated to 12.0.0+. Install, restart Eclipse, and the layout view should display without error.
More of a fix than an answer, or a fix with no explanation: r-click on the res\layout*.xml file you want to open, select Open with, then select Android Layout Editor. That should open the .xml in the graphical layout/design view you're used to.
For whatever reason, after updating from 10.0.1 to 12.0.0, my layout viewer default changed to XML Editor (one of the options under the context menu referenced above), and I have to manually open with different editor. Opening manually selecting Android Layout Editor seems to set ALE as the default for that .xml file going forward.
I had the same issue. Went in Eclipse->Help->CheckforUpdates. Selected everything there and hit next. Keep hitting next until finish. The update will start at the bottom right hand corner. Will also ask for permission. Press "OK". Will restart eclipse and problem is solved. I guess there was a bug with ADT but whatever this update fixed it.

Eclipse with Android SDK missing menu items

I have two system that I've installed Eclipse (3.6) and the Android development tools (SDK, ADT). They both have the same versions. However, on one system, under the File -> New menu, there are Android specific items - New Android Project, New Android XML file. But on the other, those specific menu items are not there. Yes, I can get to the items by choosing File -> New -> Project, then in the dialog pick Android Project, but was wondering why I don't have the specific items.
I've tried reinstalling Eclipse and the Android items, but the menu items just don't match.
Anyone more familiar with Eclipse and it's add-ons like Android have any idea? (Both system do have the "Open Android AVD and SDK" item under the window menu, FWIW)
Thanks.
I was able to restore the missing items in File | New... quite easily by performing the following steps:
Switch to the Java perspective, either via the perspective switcher toolbar at the top right of the main Eclipse window, or via the Window | Open Perspective menu item.
Reset the perspective by either right-clicking on the Java perspective icon in the perspective switcher toolbar, or by clicking Window | Reset Perspective...
As to why they weren't there in the first place, the most likely cause would be that the ADT contributes various things to the Java perspective, and these changes don't take effect until the perspective is reset after installing the ADT. As an Eclipse plug-in developer I learned it the hard way, that changes to perspectives don't get picked up unless you explicitly reset them.
Yes, seems this menu has a habit of disappearing, some sort of bug in Eclipse perspectives changing themselves.
Fix: In Eclipse click the Window menu and then "Customise Perspective". In the Customise Perspective dialog click the "Command Groups Availability" and then tick the "Android SDK and AVD Manager". Done.
Wouldn't it appear on the menu after you create the first Android project ?
When Resetting Perspective and neither Customize Perspective does`t work, you can delete config file responsible for this.
Just delete file workingsets.xml (resp. workbench.xml) in...\workspace.metadata.plugins\org.eclipse.ui.workbench\
