I have a new app that I made and put in the store yesterday.
I am able to see it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.problemio
but there is absolutely no way I can see it in the app store when I search for any terms. Any idea how I can get it to show up in the app store?
It says that the app IS compatible with my phone so I don't see why it wouldn't show up for me.
There are many reasons an application might be filtered for a given device. This is a good article that explains how the market will filter applications from a given device. You might want to read through that to find why you are not seeing the application. If the application is up on the website than it has been posted on the market so your app is being filtered for some reason.

About 20 hours ago, I published my first android application on Google market. Everything works fine, but I would like to find out If i done something wrong. I can't see statistics for this app: "Sorry, no data for this metric". Is this because of the fact that my app is freshly published, or is it because of code (maybe I have to insert some peace of code in order to enable tracking)?
Thanks.
It takes a little longer. I'm not sure of the exact cycle, but it takes a day or so for the first update.
If its a paid app you can see the number of downloads by looking in your merchant account.

I have a problem with my DEMO application, which is for free. I can't see my app from US market - I think only from US market. Please check. There is only FULL app TrainBrain, but no FREE app. Does anybody know, where is the problem? And how can I check the availability in other countries?
This is a picture from developer console, where is the USA label crossed.

I'm interested in the android app store concept.
I'm just wondering if there is any open source project going on to develop a customizable android app store (like android market).
It might be interesting to be able to set up your own app store.
Thanks a lot.
Are you looking to build a public or private app store ?
If it's private, there is a solution called Appaloosa: Appaloosa web site.
It's working on android and ios, but it's not OSS.

I am really frustrated that my Gmail address appears as my handle in Android Market reviews. As a result I really can't review apps because I don't want to get spammed.
How do I change my handle? I cannot find this setting anywhere. :(
Thanks in advance,
Barry
This probably does not belong on Stack Overflow. Android stack exchange is likely more appropriate. However, the answer is Market uses your "nickname" from your google account. If you do not have a nickname set then it will take your first name. I imagine if you don't have that set it uses your full email. Either way you can change it with these instructions:
http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?answer=70206#
Click nickname once you get there. It'll show you how to find that setting in your account

please anyone guide me for the steps to consider to avoid rejection of android applications at app store
Assuming that you mean Android Market and not Apple's app store (where I imagine every Android app would be rejected), then you simply need to conform to the Developer Program Policies and Developer Distribution Agreement.
Android apps don't go through an approval process, first thing.
Secondly, there are some things your app shouldn't be doing to avoid being killed by Google. For example, your app shouldn't contain the following things:
Explicit(Vulgar) content
Violence
Hate Speech
Impersonation
Stealing personal information
Gambling
