I have downloaded the android editions for the restlet api's and see org.restlet.jar in libs but when I look at code eamples from other people they reference org.restlet.android.jar. Where do i find this jar? Or is it not needed? Apparently I am missing something very basic here.
thanks
Anthony
You can find them packaged in the sample project found at the bottom of this page: http://wiki.restlet.org/docs_2.0/13-restlet/275-restlet/266-restlet/269-restlet.html
The org.restlet.android.jar is equivalent to the org.restlet.jar from the Android edition.

Does anyone have any idea where to look for android.support.multidex.MultiDexApplication in Xamarin? I am unable to find it anywhere (tried all support libraries).
To this date (30.11.2015) it doesn't reside anywhere (Xamarin's bugzilla has this issue filled in).
Please review this link "https://developer.xamarin.com/guides/android/advanced_topics/binding-a-java-library/binding-an-aar/"
For Windows, the path of the aar file may be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\extras\android\m2repository\com\android\support (multidex & multidex-instrumentation)
In my case, to extend the MultiDexApplication class, using VisualStudio 2015 and Xamarin, I needed to create a new project in the solution, as explained in the link. Later, it had access available in the Android project.
I'm'trying to use the pjsip lib for android, after reading some sites talking about the topic I still wondering how to use it.
Many examples suggest to start it building the apjsua folder in the downloaded package but I cannot find it in /pjproject-2.1.0/pjsip-apps/src/
I have all the other sources put not apjsua, does this folder have another name since the new version?
Thanks for your reply.
PJSIP has not yet released there Android version, it is only for testing purposes.
You can find the PJSIP projest for android in branches. Here is the link : http://svn.pjsip.org/repos/pjproject/branches/projects/android/
So I would suggest you to download the whole pjproject.
You can find the apjsua in pjproject/branches/projects/android/pjsip-apps/src/apjsua
In some versions its name is apjsua and in other versions its pjsua.
Checkout code from below link:
http://svn.pjsip.org/repos/pjproject/trunk
After checkout and building it with given commands on PJSIP getting started page, you will find it in following path:
PJSIP_DIR/pjsip_apps/src/pjsua/android/
For confirmation, you can check it by browsing code on following link:
http://trac.pjsip.org/repos/browser
I'm writing a program which must download documents from google docs. I have downloaded this example , but its haven't attached jar files. So I havent found any jar, which contains com.google.api.services.docs.DocsClient class. Could anybody tell me the jar , which contains this class.
Thank you .
Your DocsClient class is here. Check if it's the correct one.
I have found the answer. The solution is that you need to install maven plugin for Eclipse IDE , and it will download all dependency libraries.
Here you can find the instructions for installing Maven plugin , and this is instructions for downloading libraries.
Thank you.
I have a problem while running the examples from andengine. The error I'm getting is at this line:
System.loadLibrary( "andenginephysicsbox2dextension" );
Couldn't load andenginephysics2dextension. Find library returned null. I noticed other people kept having this problem but no solution was proposed.
Any help is welcomed! Thanks.
looks like you missed to copy the native libraries. AndEngine is now hosted on github and it is in perfectly active development! ( https://github.com/nicolasgramlich/AndEngine ) more info on what changed in the new GLES2 version here: http://www.andengine.org/forums/announces/andengine-gles2-pre-release-on-december-23rd-t6097.html#p26851
Using AndEngine as a library project is recommended and this will automatically 'copy' the native libraries to your project.
Best Regards,
Nicolas
The error you are getting is because you have to build the Box2D extension yourself. I think there is tutorial how to do it. However i stoped there and downloaded the demos from market. Then eventually switched to libGDX.

The new way of using andEngine is to include the git repos as libraries (without making any jars)
New GridLayout for Android 4 is good. Both in terms of code maintainability and performance.
I wanted help with backward compatibility for GridLayout for older version. Waiting for official compatibile package is taking too long. I know its possible and someone did mention that this could be done by copying the class from version 4 platform source.
Would be really great if anybody could guide me how to do this.

A better way of doing this is using Android Support Library.
Since resource files are also involved it cannot be included as .jar library.
Update the android SDK and support files.
Add your-android-sdk\extras\android\support\v7\gridlayout project to eclipse.
Make the project as library.
Add this library project to your working project.
To use gridlayout in XML use it like this
<android.support.v7.widget.GridLayout> </android.support.v7.widget.GridLayout>
Hope that was helpful.
