Android SDk Manager - Download SDK 3.0 to 3.2 - android

When my Android SDK Manager opens up it shows me SDK 4.0.3 and then 2.3.3, 2.2 and 2.1
Why is the 3.x SDK not listed ?
I am using Windows OS

The problem is that your Android SDK manager is out of date. The older verions do not list those SDKs. I just updated to Android SDK Tools revision 20, which you can do from your Android SDK Manager. Open SDK Manager, select Android SDK Tools, click "Install 1 Package" in the bottom right corner, and wait for the SDK Manager to basically update itself. At the end, you have to close and re-open the SDK manager, and those SDKs will be listed.

In case you are using proxy network, open the Android SDK manager.
Go to tools -> options and give the proxy address and port number, and restart Android SDK manager.
It will show the updates and packages which are yet to be installed.

Click on "open the Android SDK Manager" from Toolbar in Eclipse, after that one window is popup then select android 3.* and other packages and click on install packages button after that one more popup is displaying then select accept all and click install button and see below link also, sorry for my bad English communication.
Adding Packages

Click on the icon on the toolbar in Eclipse that says "Opens the Android SDK Manager".
You will displayed the packages that are already installed in your system and the ones that are missing.
Select the package you want to install. ( Android 3.0 and 3.1 in your case).
In the next screens, click on "Accept All" and "Install".

Android studio 2.3 canary missing 'Launch Standalone SDK Manager' option in 'SDK Manager'

I inadvertently accepted android studio's upgrade suggestion to 2.3 (canary), although I had always had it set to check for the developer channel, not canary, somehow that got switched. Now I no longer have a 'Launch Standalone SDK Manager' option in my 'SDK Manager' window.
I liked the standalone manager for various reasons, including that it suggested what needed to be downloaded and upgraded. The regular sdk manager lists a lot of things I expect I don't need like 'CMake', 'LLDB', 'Constraint Layout for Android', 'Solver for ConstraintLayout', 'Google Play APK Expansion Library' ('Google Play APK Expansion Library rev 3' is already installed, so do I need this too?), etc.
Is the standalone sdk manager unavailable for 2.3 canary 2, or is there something more I need to do to get it?
I also have updated to the Canary version 2.3 and I'm amazed that they took it away there.. but you can still start it via the SDK Manager.exe located in your sdk folder
C:\Users\You\AppData\Local\Android\sdk
Present:Today when i was trying to launch, the terminal says, The android command is no longer available.
For manual SDK and AVD management, please use Android Studio.
Past:
I also face the problem after updating to Canary version 2.3 on my mac.. On Mac or Linux, open a terminal and navigate to the tools/ directory in the location where the Android SDK is installed, then execute android sdk
or for only mac user go to folder located in
/Users/your mac account name/Library/Android/sdk/tools
and double click android to Launch Standalone SDK Manager
My Advice: Stop Searching for Launch Standalone SDK Manager and get use to be of android studio SDK manager and just choose the Show Package Details for more detailed description like Launch Standalone SDK Manager.
With the 2.3 Canary update, when using SDK Manager.exe or tools/android.bat, no manager is opened. However tools/android.bat give a pretty good answer to why it is not working:
The "android" command is no longer available.
For manual SDK and AVD management, please use Android Studio.
For command-line tools, use
tools\bin\sdkmanager.bat and tools\bin\avdmanager.bat
We can still use command-line tools, but no more standalone SDK manager.
Yes, "Launch Standalone SDK Manager" option in Android Studio V2.3 is not available, But you can still start it via SDK Manager.exe located in your sdk folder.
c:\Users\You_User_Account_Name\AppData\Local\Android\SDK Manager.exe
Enjoy Android Studio with new features.
I just received an official response from AOSP -
Project Member #1 uchid...#google.com
deprecated feature , please check latest stable version Android 2.3
The link is now gone, and it is intentional.
Yes the standalone sdk manager option is missing in Android Studio 2.3. Get yourself used to the sdk manager available in Android Studio settings.
Also if you are installing Android Studio from scratch, you will not be available to find Sdk Manager.exe from C:\Users\You\AppData\Local\Android\sdk or anywhere you install it.

Android SDK Tools not installed

I installed android studio to get adb. In setup wizard there was a message saying "The following SDK component was not installed: Android SDK Tools 25.1.7". And I think this is exactly what I need. What should I do?
To install Android SDK Tools 25.1.7
Start Android Studio
Open the SDK Manager: click Tools > Android > SDK Manager or click SDK Manager in the toolbar.
In the SDK Tools tab, select Android SDK Tools 25.1.7 by clicking the check box so it shows a checkmark
To update the selected packages, click on OK
See more information here.
Run the setup wizard again as the administrator (or use sudo) and it should work. If not, check your firewall and proxy.

How to add newer Android Sdk's to ADT plugin (Eclipse)?

This is my first question in this site so forgive me if this is asked before.
My Laptop is very humble (Acer 5733Z) and can't run Android Studio conveniently and the CPU does not have the virtualization feature to support emulator so I use the eclipse ADT plugin for developing simple apps for android since it runs smoothly without any problems.
But the problem is that i have only up to API17 (Android 4.2) SDK installed and when I open the SDK manager to install the newer SDK' it doesn't show any newer API's as shown :
SDK manager screenshot
So, Is there any way to add SDK's manually or something ?
Any help would be extremely appreciated.
IIRC, you need to update the "SDK Tools" and "SDK Platform-tools" entries before you can download newer SDKs. You will see those highlighted with yellow download arrows, and if you click the "Install 3 packages" button, the SDK Manager will download and upgrade those packages.
you want to update your SDK Tools for newer version of android
latest is r24.4.1 in this version android 6 now available
you can see this link for detail of all sdk tools version

How can I add a system image for a target in Android Studio

I have an option grayed out that I must complete to progress with a project. It says that
No system images installed for this target.
This answer is for Eclipse, but I'm not sure if there's an Android Studio equivalent:
Unable to create Android Virtual Device
It is exactly the same answer. You need to download an image for the target SDK. So, open the SDK Manager and you will find a system image for the Android L API Level 20.
You can open the SDK Manager from the Tools Menu -> Android -> SDK Manager
You will see all Platform Tools, System Images, Documentation, etc. nested and grouped by API Level...including the Android L Preview
The Target Version you are selecting you have only installed platform files for this version you have need to install image of that version also.
You can check and install it through Android SDK manager.
Do the following steps:
Open Android SDK Manager. Check selected version and check "ARM EABI...." file for that version is installed or not. If not then install it and try again.

android target api not visible

i have installed android sdk.
i have also downloaded and installed the adt plugin in my eclipse ide.
now when i go to preferences to set the path for android sdk, when i set the path and then press apply-- automatically the target api should be listed below. But they are not being listed below for some reason.
what could be the problem?
thank you in advance
Within eclipse, go to Window > Android SDK and AVD Manager then choose Installed Packages from the left hand side. Do you see things like SDK Platform Android 2.3, API 9, revision 1 listed? If not then you need to download them. Select Available Packages then expand Android Repository then select the SDK versions you want to download.
