The app name in Arabic is showing broken i.e characters are appearing separately. I am using android 2.2. How can i solved this ?
depends on the installed ROM, google officially started supporting Arabic Ice Cream, but some manufacture supported arabic since 2.1 on their devices like Samsung, and most of Arab Users dont have problems about arabic language on their devices right now.
android officially start Arabic support with their honeycomb series i.e android 3.0 onward
so if u wanna use arabic u must use proper formatted arabic u need to use formatting tools
as far your question is concerned app_name will be fine in android 3 onward but for 2.2 you either give image icon or leave it as it is (i will prefer second)

The text of my mobile application was cut off on OnePlus devices, and my app does use custom font until now.
I searched for some information and learned that change the font of my app might be helpful.
Thanks to Expo they have some methods that could get the exact devices information, I want to use the default font only for OnePlus devices.
But I don't how can I precisely detect OnePlus devices.
Or should I say if I use the detect methods of Expo on OnePlus devices, I don't know what will be returned.
And also, purchasing OnePlus mobile phones is too expensive for me...
Instead of getting device info you can just make allowFontScaling as false in Text tag.
<Text allowFontScaling={false}>Your text goes here</Text>
This will avoid text cut.

I want to make an app in which we can change API level of mobile temporarily and test our apps. So,
Is it possible to change API level of mobile and test our app by using android app?
If it is possible then how we can do this in android applications by using Java.
No deployed version of OS of any sort contains its previous releases (don't confuse this with OS backward compatibility). The simplest way to test on various versions of given platform is to use emulator(s).
For Android see either stock one or 3rd party ones like Genymotion or Blue Stacks.
You can do that via emulator.
I don't think that it's possible to do with mobile.

I've started learning java for android app development. Recently I heared that android annoumced a new version of android which is called "android L" and there are some thing new and some thing removed like hardware buttons.
I was wondering if there is a new language for development or no? I didnt find any resources focused on the development area of android L. And heared Android L has brought material design which some one say its a new language and some one say no its a new design. Now I confused with new version of android the development features availible in it which most differ from previous versions.
Android L still uses Java as the main programming language and it still uses the android SDK. The main change from a programmatic perspective will be new apis that will be added
You are very confused. Android L is a new version of Android, as Android 4.4 or Android 4.3.
The difference with others versions of Android is the visual design.

I was looking for an app for phones (iPhone, Android and SmartPhone - any or all) that would simply run in the background and place any scanned upc code digits into the currently active textbox.
I've Googled for quite a while and only found an Android app that actually replaces the keyboard of the phone.
It seems like it should be easy (I have many for PCs) but I haven't done any handheld programming since Windows CE days so I don't know if this is possible (can apps see other apps controls in these phones).
Has anyone ever come across an app like this?
use the iphone sdk from zbar and you can do it inside your app.
You cannot do this system wide. You can only add this functionality to your apps.
This question is very similar Take a look. Android Long Press on Edit Text behavior

Can we have Telugu typing in android? If so, how?
Does android support Telugu fonts directly?
Or do we use bitmap fonts?
Try this.
Indic version of Samsung phone supports most Indian language.
You need to add custom font to include telgu font, see the following guide to add support for custom font in your application:
Add custom font for complete android application
One can easily type in Telugu using multiling app and its Telugu plugin.
It works in almost all applications. Prior to Jelly bean, Android did not support Telugu fonts.
But now, they do support it.
