I am new to android development. Recently I have uploaded an android app using my Google Play Android Developer Console and now my app is in Google Play.
I have downloaded my app from Google play store and installed it in my mobile.
But when I checked the download statics in Developer Console (information found near to my app in dev console), it stated:
0 total user installs
0 active device installs
Can anyone please say me why is this so? I have downloaded and installed my app from Google play store. So it must show the count as 1. But still it displays the count as 0.
Am I checking the count in a wrong place? Is there any other tool or Google place to check and get my app downloads and installed information?
Thank you.
Fear not, the delayed count is not your fault. Google Play download statistics are uploaded once every 24 hours (approximately).
From Google Play for Developers:
These statistics are refreshed on a daily basis at 12:00 am PST.
Despite what it says, I find they update more around 9:00 am PST, though it varies greatly. (There have been cases of severely delayed download stats, but this usually happens to everyone and a notice is displayed on the console.)

A week ago my Google developer console showed I reached 100k downloads yet the google play store only shows 50k+. How often does it update those external facing download stats for users to see? There are some other apps showing 100k+ so I figure that is the next value shown in google play store catalog for an app after 50k+.
Thanks!
I published a free app in Google play store. From last 9 month around 20k user installed my application. From last few weeks in Developer console "Installs by user" count is showing less number than the count in "Uninstalls by user" section. I am not getting how this can happen . Is it because of some issue in Developer console or my understanding about those two terms are wrong?. Please help me to figure out this.
Google counts only one installation per User maximum. But if one User installs your App many times, the uninstalls keep going up while the installs stay at 1.
How exactly do google count app downloads?
My google play developers account showing less amount of downloads while analytics used in my app shows more.
currently my Google play account shows 100-150 downloads per day for my app
while my analytics shows 3000-4000 downloads per day.
There is Huge difference in both of this.
My analytics shows in conversion type following info:
Referrer :Other
Installs(last 7 days): 18,979
why my referrer is shown as other?
I have only launched my app on google play store and all this downloads are done through play store.
Why google play store developer accounts is not counting this downloads?
There is a problem with google's servers. They can't show the real time download even in developer console. They didn't fix it until too much time.
I have published my first app on Google Play about 48 hours ago...
I found that inside my Developer Console, the total number of downloads are showing 0+downloads after many downloads .and Additional Information section is not showing "Installs" field .
Anyone know is there anything wrong in publishing setting?
My app is: 0Hour Safety app- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gsit.zero.hour.ui.activity
Do you have some other form of tracking that you know you have "many downloads"?
The information on the console is not real time and takes a while to update generally. I think it updates more frequently based on the popularity of your app.
I just uploaded an app on google play at US. I have friends in Japan says that he downloaded my app and leave some comments. But I can't see that in my Developer Controller. Still 0 downloads, no comments on my google play page is US. Is there a way to see the google play in other country, and get the number of downloads in other country? Thanks.
The statistics are updated on a daily basis. (Please see this question) You should be able to see the download count within 24 hours of publishing the app. The Android Developer Console statistics page will show all the details about the application including the country-wise download count.
