Button change color

I have two buttons in layout,let suppose button A and button B and I want that when user touch any of two button,their background color should change for that moment.

State_pressed working...but state_hovered is not working.
So,please suggest a way to do so.

Create a my_button_background.xml file in drawable folder:

And use this in layout file:
android:background="#drawable/my_button_background"
And read more about Android's Color State. Basically, you can assign colors, drawables, shapes, etc. to different states of views, such as enabled, disabled, focused, clicked, etc.

How to change button background as a progress?

I'm trying to change the background of a button as a "loading" while it's pressed, but I'm not sure how to make.
First I tried to use a progress bar but, what I want is to load the background progressively if the button is pressed or revert it if the button is released.
Thanks in advance for any idea.

Set the button background to a selector, such as this

That should change the button background as you press and release the button.

The only image for all button states for Android?

I have an image for my button.
In order to make use of it I have to have 1 additional image for each state:
1. disabled
2. selected
3. pressed
etc..
in iOS all those additional states are handled automatically and deferred from original image provided.

No, It is NOT. You need to have all states's images with you to define the selector
You can define button_selector.xml

For selected and pressed you can use an xml file with root for button's background but for disabled I guess you need to handle it in java code. I'm not sure about disabled state.

I have a TextView in my home screen widget. Can I use the following selector as the background of the TextView so the TextView can be highlighted when clicked? I know I can do it in Activity, but I am not sure about home screen widget. Thanks.

You can do this, if your TextView is clickable.

How to change textColor on press Even in Android?

Is it possible to change the text color of a textview if the textview is pressed?
I want to achieve a flashing effect with the color change only lasting as long as the button is pressed.
I know how to change the background of the textview with a selector list and the correct state but how can I change the color of text if the user pushes a button or a simple textview?

You can define a selector for colors as well. A short example that only distinguishes between pressed and all other states is:
