I am trying the Theme Sherlock Action Bar. I want to set the color of the Title as White. When i try to do the following the Title disappears all together.
Also I want to change the background color of an Action Item Icon when Pressed.
What i have tried ?
<resources xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">

</resources>
I am not sure about item background, but for text color you can:
add these items in Widget.Nomad.ActionBar (style with parent Widget.Sherlock.ActionBar):

#style/TitleText

#style/TitleText

where:

The best solution is this!
actionBar.setTitle(Html.fromHtml("" + AppName + ""));
I promise it will be very helpful! Good luck!

I'm using Material components to create a DatePicker. From what I understand, colorPrimary is used to determine the color of the section at the top of the dialog, as well as the colors for the text on the buttons, specifically CANCEL and OK.
Going through the documentation, I can't seem to find a way to change just the color of the buttons at the bottom ? Is it possible to do that ?
current code:

You can use:
builder.setTheme(R.style.MaterialCalendarTheme)
and then define:

Does anyone knows,
How do i set a line in between ActionBar tab bar and title bar, because i am using same color for both, that looks odd,
i am using style as:

here i set the color,

Try using something like this :

In my main theme, I include this:

#style/ListPopupWindow

in styles.xml:

where bright_foreground_holo_dark is a light gray (#fff3f3f3). Yet the text appears as black. The background is a dark gray, as it should be in the dark holo theme.
These definitions are in the android styles.xml source.

Just in case someone is looking for help,
To change the font color of overflow menu item, your main theme should include

#style/PopupMenuTextAppearance

and in style.xml

choose any parent TextAppearance.Medium /TextAppearance.Small depending upon needs.
I try to customize actionbar tabs. Look on the picture:
My code:

I would like to align the text of tabs to center. When I try to set up showDividers to value middle, divider is not visible. It is visible with values beggining or end.
After more attempts, I've got desired result.
This is my code, that works properly.

It was needed to specify the style for Widget.Holo.Light.ActionBar.TabView and for this item set up the divider.
Delete styles you don't need to override in order to style your tabs like you described:

How can I hide dividers in action bar dropdown menu navigation?
Here is divider which I want to hide:
http://s10.postimage.org/4sjqjxltl/4nk4k.png
I tried following in styles:

I've also tried with changing divider property to color or drawable.
But divider is still present in dropdown menu navigation, no effect at all. Any ideas would be really helpful.
You need to extend the Widget.Sherlock.ListView.DropDown style like this:

It's worth to note, that divider Height must be specified to edit divider's color.
