Adding images to android project - eclipse - android

i am trying to add an image in my android app. I am using html. I have my photos in the res/drawable folder. I use the code img src= but i just get a question mark over the image. What am i doing wrong?

Try using:
<img src="file:///android_res/drawable/image.png" />
You do not need to put the qualifier for the drawable in the SRC attribute.

Using android vector drawable inside HTML

I need to display a vector drawable which is present in drawable folder in a WebView. This is for a native android app.
If I use the code:
<img src="file:///android_res/drawable/example.png"/>
It works for png/jpeg images, but is there any way to display vector drawable (with .xml extension) inside a WebView?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Trouble with adding image source in android studio

I am trying to add a source image to an ImageView in Android Studio. I placed the image in the res/drawable folder. I have the same image placed in mdpi,hdpi,xhdpi,xxhdpi,and xxxhdpi.
However when I try to add the path to the image in xml it does not even show up. I have attached a screenshot of what I have.
Also I tried to clean and rebuild the project and still I cannot access the images in the drawable folder.
I should add that if I try and add the images to the mipmap folders. It works just fine and I can set the path of the images to mipmap.
You created the extra drawables folders inside of the main drawable folder instead of using the existing folders in the res/ directory. (See the mipmap folders?)
Also, don't need png extension in the XML, just the filename
In your XML remove file extension and replace . with _
android:src="#drawable/podcast_ac_new_2_9"

there is not any problem its the new window to add image asset android studio designed.
choose the image for asset type and give the path. then the android studio will generate different size of your image asset in different mipmap folders.
its a lot easier than before. if you dont want to use mipmap folders just copy and paste your file into youre desired folder in android studio manually.

How do I export Android XML vector drawables to another format?

I want to recreate my app for iOS and the icons in Android are XML vectors with the "android:pathData" attribute. How do I convert these to an image that I can place into Xcode and use (preserving transparency)?
I have searched for a solution and found nothing and read the article on the Android Developer site on Vector Asset Studio but found nothing about exporting these drawables to something I can import into Xcode.
I did it by creating an SVG file and copying the value of the pathData attribute of the path element in the XML file and pasting it into the d attribute of the path element in the SVG file. I then converted it to PNG using ImageMagick.
So
<path android:pathData="[Path Data]">
becomes
<path d="[Path Data]">.
Then
convert -background none image.svg image.png
in the command line.
If there is a better way of doing this please post it.
After using the trick Questioner provide, I use a browser to open the svg file, zoom-in to the size as big as possible and take a screenshot. FYI.

How to place 9patch generated images in Android Studio?

I used the freely available Simple 9patch generator available online, to generate a logo for my app's splash screen.
But how do I place it in Android Studio drawable folder?
Do I have to make separate drawable folders like ldpi, hdpi etc?
I tried that but when I try to set the image on a layout, it gives me an error saying
Cannot resolve symbol #drawable/something
You need to make sure, you have place the images in the correct folder. Here's an example,

Get rid of the .9 in #drawable/splash.9. It is just #drawable/splash. .9.png is the file extension, and file extensions are not used in references to resources.
