I am trying to create a house-ad campaign for my Android application, but unfortunately encountered a problem while providing an URL.
Please find error message below:
There were problems with your submission.
Invalid or non-existent app url
What is strange... when I provide an address for any website (not linking to Google Play application), followed by http://, there is no problem at all!
Has anyone of you also encounter such a bug on AdMob website?
For your information, I have checked this behavior on Google Chrome, IE7 and Firefox - no change.
This may be possibly a duplicate of:
Admob - can't create any ads (admob wizard crappy?)
... but I have decided to find a solution in new thread.
Best regards,
Bartosz Ostrowski.
Try using this link from the android developer page in the format:
http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=<package_name>
(do not include the < or >)
If that doesn't work or gives any errors then try:
market://details?id=package_name
source is here: http://developer.android.com/distribute/googleplay/promote/linking.html
EDIT: I just added one today (June 7, 2013) and no issues, used
market://details?id=com...
I found a fix. It is a crappy workaround, but if you use the web link you can get your ad working.
Use the https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id= url.
Then use http://goo.gl/ to create an short url. If you use this short url your url will be approved.
Only disadvantage is clicking the ad first opens the browser and then the Play store. I also posted this problem on the Google Admob Group so I hope there will be a fix soon. In the meanwhile the above solution will help showing houseads despite this issue.
Problem seems to be solved. I have received an e-mail from AdMob Publisher Support saying that the problem will be solved by the end of the week - it is solved the same day.
Now "market://..." link is accepted without any problems.

All of sudden google console started throwing an error message saying - "At least one of your app or app bundles contain an actions.xml file."
I have searched my entire app, there is no actions.xml.
Also used Analyze Apk tool of android studio to cross verify if any lib or other module may adding the actions.xml.
Here is one troubleshoot link from google (link) it describe the process To accept the Actions on Google Terms of Service.
But question remains the same that project doesn't contain any actions.xml.
Is it a console bug or I am missing anything.
This was very weird but when I tried to upload the apk after sometime it worked perfectly fine without any error messages.
As I rightly mentioned in the question there was no action.xml and action tag anywhere in my entire project.
It seems to be a console bug in my case.
It was a Google Play Console bug:

Whenever I share the link to my Android game on facebook, it comes up as "Not found". This is a minor inconvenience, however this is also happening for everyone else, and stopping people from sharing links to my app (since they see it as it won't work, rather than just that facebook can't find the info).
I tried sharing a link to Angry Birds, andit works fine.
Steps to produce the error:
Copy URL for game listing https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.uk.toiletboy.toiletboy
Paste into status box on facebook
Wait for it to get the info
Instead of the app name, it just says "Not found"
I feel like I should get this fixed as soon as I can - is there anything I can do in Google Play settings to get this sorted? Has anyone seen anything like thi before? Please help!
Edit: Worked out the solution myself, o have posted it below.
Okay, turns out this was pretty simple, although not immediately obvious. Facebook last scraped the Google Play website 4 days ago, and at that time, my app hadn't been published. hy they don't retry scraping a page when someone gives them a new URL, I don't know...
For anyone else facing this issue in future, facebook have a tool to "debug" your site, here: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
You enter the URL, and get info on when it was last scraped, and what info / images they found. You also get the option to ask them the scrape it again, which I did, and this solved the issue.
Phew!
Don't know if it's ok to ask this question here, but I didn't know where to ask it...
I have made an app with an ad from AdMob. It works just fine, showing up in the app and everything. The problem is when I want to link my app in the AdMob interface, my app is not showing when I search the market.
But I know that it's actually on the market because I can find it when searching on play.google.com.
This is what I want to do. It says Link your app!
Anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?
Thanks!
It is this part that I have a problem with:
At the red arrow, where it says "Find your app in the search..." My app is not showing in the search result, but I know that it is on the market!
You need to wait a little bit more after publishing your app because AdMob indexes Play store and iTunes about every 48h.
My app took 2+ days to show up in Admob. Wait, it will show up.
If your app name is a bit too common (like mine was "memes") - I would recommend to search by developer name. Admob will try to list all apps of that developer.
Instead of APP name if you provide Developer name ,then it will show of list all APPs by the developer. Then select your required APP [which was not listed when searched].
Enjoy !!!!
I've been able to resolve it today by pasting the full AppStore URL to that search field.
If your App is published and available in the US region, this should probably work. Note that it may take up to 24 hours for the app to be visible on AppStore after releasing.
Make sure you publish the app for release. If your app is still in Beta it will not show up.
If you face issue linking your app and it takes more than 2 weeks you can contact google adMob team on google groups
Group name : Google Mobile Ads SDK Developers
Make sure you post your app details on the above group. My app was pending for 55 days and once I raised they have added my app in 24 hours.
I have to contacted the Google Mobile Ads SDK Developers group and they quickly fixed the issue for me. Now everything works!
Tip: If you didn't find your app by the name, try the following options:
the app's AppStore URL, for example: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/spotify-discover-new-music/id324684580
the app's store ID, for example: id324684580
the publisher name, for example: Spotify Ltd.
I had the same issue. I tried searching using the App Name, it did not show. I also tried entering the full App store url and it did not work either. So to resolve it, I did this:
Went to App Store Connect -> General -> App Information -> View on App Store
Copied only the last 2 part of the URL https://apps.apple.com/us/app/COPIED_THE_REST_FROM_HERE.
Went to AdMob and pasted the section of the URL that looks something like this: spotify-discover-new-music/id324684580.
After that it worked. If the App was just released, please wait atleast 24 hours so the App listing in the store is updated.
I just developed my first game on Google Android. I'm trying to submit it the store. I paid my 25$ and went through all the steps.
When I'm at the part where I have to upload screenshots, I get this error:
Unable to parse response. If you have a browser extension or add-on
installed which changes the JSON response, please disable and refresh
this page.
I tried this on Chrome, Firefox, and IE. I don't have any extensions that would be doing any of this.
I've seen some other people post on Stackoverflow, but their posts (from what I could see) are from at last year... so is this a bug everyone is experiencing?
This is still a common issue
https://groups.google.com/a/googleproductforums.com/forum/#!category-topic/android-market/technical-help/8emO_DadgxI
My solution was to wait until my account was confirmed.
Try uploading the app by Re-Creating the screenshots. Try creating the screenshot using DDMS.
I signed to adsense and got my id to use adsense mechanism. I followed the tutorial http://code.google.com/intl/iw/mobile/afma_ads/docs/android/ and did exactly like the incomprehensible tutorial (Very surprising). Also the jar file that i supposed to add to my libs not available in the site and i downloaded it from http://www.java2s.com/Code/Jar/g/DownloadGoogleAdViewjar.htm. When i load my app i get a banner filled with "AD TEST" strings. When i tried to change the boolean parameter in setAdTestEnabled to false i got empty banner (not visible).
Does anyone run into such behavior using adsense?
Does anyone know better tutorial?
Does AdMob and Adsense connected to google?
If the test ad worked it could be that you have either not set your unique ID in your adWords account or its just not been activated yet therefor there are no images to retrieve.
Another reason could be that the image that it did retrieve doesnt fit into the view you have gave it. Something like that should throw an exception so have a look through your code in debug and see if it does throw an error
You are looking at an old old version of the Ads SDK. The download link probably isn't on the site anymore because it is now recommended/required to use the Google AdMob Ads SDK. It is a rewrite of the Google Ads SDK, and it has active support and documentation. I recommend trying it out, and any questions you may have you can ask on the support forum.
Side Note: I say using the new SDK is required because if you read through the the documentation, you will find a warning saying all new sites and apps created after October 14th, 2011 have to use the Google AdMob Ads SDK.
