I really don't like to use Info windows to show custom information. I am fed up with their default features. So, I want to Show a View instead of the infowindow, when a marker is clicked. I want the border shape of the View to be like the Infowindow.
I am in need to show some animated stuff, so and so.
Please suggest me the solution. Please suggest me if I can go this way.
And please suggest your Ideas and share useful links.
Any help is appreciated!!
Thanks for your valuable help!!
You can look at the MarkerDemoActivity in Google Maps API v2 samples. It contains code for customizing info windows and animating markers.
To get the samples, go to your Android SDK folder and follow this path:
sdk\extras\google\google_play_services\samples\maps
I don't know if this will be sufficient for your needs, but I hope it will at least help you!

I have used view bounds in google maps before, to display a particular region in the Google maps. Now I have shifted my project to HERE maps. Can anyone help me replicating the same in HERE maps?. Thanks in advance.
Since your question is too generic I suggest you to first ölook at the numerous examples provided by Here in github https://github.com/heremaps/here-android-sdk-examples. You can specifically look at map-objects project to see how map view is used. Hope this helps! Happy Coding!

I am using Xamarin and am developing a Google Maps application. I would like to create my own style of the InfoWindow concept.
Is it possible for me to create a "box" that can be used as a container that can be positioned on a Google Map. Inside the "box", I can load a View or display some TextViews that have AutoLink properties that I can click on, rather than the current InfoWindow that is just an image?
Is this possible? Is it easy to do? May I please have some resources and/or advice on how to accomplish this?
Thanks in advance
I really dislikes the InfoWindow provided by google.
I found that it is not flexible enough to suit the needs I have for customization.
In my recent google maps project I have been using a third party infowindow called 'infobox'.
You might wanna try it out - its really flexible.
.
You can see some demos here:

The following is my instructions page for the application that is being worked upon. For now I am just display this image via the ImageView using the scaleXY property to make it pan out throughout the screen. I do know that this is a very lame approach to making a tutorials page ... So can someone please tell me how can I correctly implement this tutorials page in my application ? Thanks in advanced.
This here looks like it can help you.
You're current method works, but I think you'll find this alternative much more preferable.
The ShowcaseView library is designed to highlight and showcase specific parts of apps to the user with a distinctive and attractive overlay. This library is great for pointing out points of interest for users, gestures, or obscure but useful items.
