NUnitLite in Xamarin (Android). Unable to load Mono.Data.Sqllite.dll - android

I'm currently experimenting with Xamarin for the first time, as well as NUnitLite for the first time. I've set up a small Android project and a test project. In the Android project I make use of SqlLite, and in my test project I want to write some integration tests for my database insert/update/select methods.
However, when I run tests which includes a call to my class "GroupRepository" (which includes a type from the Mono.Data.Sqllite.dll in its constructor) I get the following exception. Note that I've also added the mentioned dll to my test-project.

Xamarin and OpenTK Android not starting due to TypeLoadException

I have a Xamarin Android App in Visual Studio where I would like to do some OpenGL rendering so i imported OpenTK.NETCore via nuget. Unfortunately the App wont start because of the following exception:
System.TypeLoadException: Could not resolve type with token 0100003a (from typeref, class/assembly OpenTK.Rectangle, OpenTK, Version=1.1.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=bad199fe84eb3df4)
I have already doublechecked to have the same assemblyversion in the main project and in the android project.
the problematic line seems to be:
GL.Viewport(new OpenTK.Rectangle(0,0,100,100));

Xamarin Forms Ui project (Multiplatform)

I am making this UI for a multiplatform app using Xamarin on my Macbook.
I have set FormsUI as startup project.
Xamarin gives errors when i try to run the project on ios simulator.

This particular error has been mentioned in the Xamarin Forms forum; basically, something in one of the iOS assets (e.g. a storyboard) is the cause. Unfortunately, you don't get much information regarding WHICH asset it was in the error. Try creating a brand new solution and gradually introduce your changes until you hit the error.

How do I stop the IDE from referencing Windows-specific XML units in my non-Windows project?

I want to create a Android program in Delphi XE5 to work with XML files. I use TXMLDocument.
I can't compile and run it, though, because Delphi repeatedly adds Xml.Win.msxmldom in the uses section. The following error occurs:

(unit scope "Xml.Win" indicates Win32, Win64 only)
How do I avoid using that unit in my project?
In the TXMLDocument, change the DOM vendor from MSXML to ADOMXML v4, to stop the need to use the MSXML unit.
This is covered in the documentation for TXMLDocument.DOMVendor. Although it mentions specifically Mac, the same applies to other FireMonkey applications on iOS and Android.
Tip: If you are designing a FireMonkey application that is intended to run on Mac OS X, then you should perform the following steps to ensure that the compilation succeeds:
Change DOMVendor from MSXML to ADOM XML v4.
If the Xml.Win.msxmldom unit is in the uses clause then remove it.
Compile your application for Mac OS X.
The documentation was modified in the XE5 version to read instead:
Tip: To use TXMLDocument in Mac OS X or Mobile applications, in the Object Inspector, set the DOMVendor property to ADOM XML v4 right after dropping this component onto the Form Designer. Otherwise, the TXMLDocument component is no longer usable for iOS/Android/OSX applications.

Problems with build.xml when using the Android ADK to communicate with an Arduino Mega ADK

So a few days ago I got my hands on an Arduino Mega ADK board, and the last couple of nights I have been setting up my development environment, getting to grips with the tools etc. The tools and libraries all work fine, for example I can get a program written in the Processing IDE to compile and run on an Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101 running Android 4.03. But when I get it to try to compile and run one of the pre-written examples, it gives me a compiler error:

And that's all the console seems to output as well, which is rather frustrating! As far as I'm aware all of my SDK versions, tools and plugins are all up to date. I've tried this using a Linux partition I have on my hard drive and it produces the same error message, although it mentions a problem with the package com.Android.future.UsbAccessory. Given what I've seen, it seems that the problem is with the tools, either my directory structure doesn't match up to what the correct setup is, or something else is wrong :S. If anyone has had similar problems, some help would be smashing! (For the record, my setup was done using the instructions on the Arduino website, although I already had the Android SDK tools installed).

It sounds like your haven't added in the support library to your project and/or you haven't downloaded it into your Android SDK.
The ADK1 demokit app targets API Level 10 (Android 2.3.3); That means you need to use the support libraries in your project and that's why the compiler is complaining about level 10 library dependencies not being available. The support libraries are a separate download in the SDK Manager, so you might not have them in your development environment.
In Android API Level 12 and higher, the USB Accessory protocol was added to the framework API, so there are two different ways to use the accessory protocol. So, you don't have to use the support libraries if you are targeting Honeycomb and higher versions, but you'll have to update the demokit app code to make this work.

So I've double checked my setup and started working on a project I had in mind, it seems to import the libraries appropriately. So far so good, but when I input:

After the app has been built and installed onto the Android tablet I am using. Any thoughts how I can over come this? From what I can tell, this has no problem finding com.android.future.usb.manager to compile and install the program, but once it tries to run it can find it.

In the examples RGB_Arduino the name, version and author variables are set at the top of the sketch.
Try adding in this section of code at the top of your arduino sketch just underneath the library imports

Problems using the EWS Java API on Android

I am trying to use the EWS Java API v1.1.5 (http://archive.msdn.microsoft.com/ewsjavaapi) in an Android application, and have run into a number of issues.
I downloaded the source, and followed the instructions provided to compile the EWS Java API in Eclipse. In those instructions you are told to download and
add the following pre-requiste jar file dependencies:
commons-codec-1.4.jar
commons-httpclient-3.1.jar
commons-logging-1.1.1.jar
jcifs-1.3.15.jar
I did this, and followed the build instructions with produced the following jar files:
EWSAPI-1.1.0.jar
EWSAPIWithJars-1.1.0
Next, I built a brand new Android application, added the appropriate permissions to the manifest, and then added the following source to the primary activity's OnCreate:

From what I've researched, it seems like this error is being generated because Android comes with the Apache HttpClient 4.0, which doesn't appear
to have the MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager class anymore.
If I instead remove the EWSAPI-1.1.0.jar, and instead use the EWSAPIWithJARS-1.1.0.jar file as a dependency, I get the following error:

I am assuming because now I am including the HttpClient 3.1 jar and it is conflicting with the HttpClient 4.0 jar included with the Android libraries.
My question is if there is a way for me to use the EWS Java API in an Android project without having to re-write the parts of it which reference
HttpClient 3.1-specific things which are no longer in 4.0.
You can use microsoft's EWS api for android by doing the following steps,
download the source code available in the URL,

Make the changes to above api to work for JDK 1.4 in eclipse like remove override annotations e.t.c

Keep all the sources under the single java project in eclipse
Open the project explorer and select the package which are starts with "javax" and rename to your company name eg: com. Note: Eclipse will ask for all the naming contexts will change then click OK.
Export all the java sources to one single jar file.
Then You good to go to use the jar in Android application with out any problems.
I used the same way explained above and it worked in android application 100% perfectly.
This isn't a useful answer but I've also been struggling to look at the EWS API over the last couple of weeks, with no success.
The main issue I've found is it references a lot of the javax APIs which aren't on Android. There's a hack you can find that explains how to "re-class" these but I've not got it working yet; in addition, the DnsClient references some namespaces that jarsearches only return for rt.jar - the main runtime. And including this in an Android app would just be crazy!
Before finding the API I was trying to use KSOAP to communicate with EWS but again ran into problems - you need to be able to do NTLM and SSL and I couldn't find any way of combining all these with KSOAP in any simple way.
The EWS API looks the way to go (why re-invent the wheel) but getting it working on Android looks very tricky (if not impossible)
