error in manifest file - android

I have encountered this issue many times although i have already re-written the codes. I've have done a clean up several times. However, there's error still in my xml manifest.
Apparently there's errors on applying the permission to send and receive SMS. Will someone be able to guide me? I'm just a beginner in coding out for SMS in eclipse.

BOOT_COMPLETED on Lollipop

My boot receiver not starting. I've read many topics here and there but couldn't find working solution. My manifest file:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<manifest xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
package="com.hahaido.rescuetap"
android:installLocation="internalOnly"
android:versionCode="1"

android:targetSdkVersion="21" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.CALL_PHONE" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.SEND_SMS" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.READ_CONTACTS" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED" />
<application

android:label="#string/app_name"
android:launchMode="singleTop" >
<intent-filter>

<category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" />
</intent-filter>
</activity>
<receiver
android:name=".BootReceiver"
android:enabled="false" >

<action android:name="android.intent.action.QUICKBOOT_POWERON" />
</intent-filter>
</receiver>
<service android:name=".LockService" />
</application>
</manifest>
It works on Android 4.1 but why is it not working on 5.0?
android:enabled="false" - initially the receiver is disabled but user can control its state from the app

The problem in my app was the app_name in the strings file was different that what I thought it is. So Basically I was looking for app "X" while the name i gave is "Y".

Use a broadcastreceiver implemented in another imported project

If i declare a broadcastreceiver in my Android app it's all alright. Now i am trying to use that receiver implemented in an imported project. In the main project i declare that receiver in the manifest with the correct path(from the imported project).
I don't understand if this can work, although i don't see why,but in debug mode the receiver is not reached.
This is in the manifest of the main project:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<manifest xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
package="com.main.project"
android:installLocation="internalOnly"
android:versionCode="1"
android:versionName="1.1" >
<uses-sdk
android:minSdkVersion="10"
android:targetSdkVersion="19" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_WIFI_STATE" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE" />
<application
android:allowBackup="true"
android:icon="#drawable/app_icon"
android:label="#string/app_name"
android:theme="#android:style/Theme.Black.NoTitleBar" >
<activity
android:name="com.main.project.SplashActivity"
android:label="#string/app_name"
android:theme="#android:style/Theme.NoTitleBar.Fullscreen" >
<intent-filter>
<action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" />
<category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" />
</intent-filter>
</activity>
<activity
android:name="com.main.project.MainActivity"
android:label="#string/app_name"
android:screenOrientation="portrait" >
<intent-filter>
<action android:name="android.intent.action.VIEW" />
<category android:name="android.intent.category.DEFAULT" />
<category android:name="android.intent.category.BROWSABLE" />
<data
android:host="com.main.project.MainActivity"
android:scheme="oauth" />
</intent-filter>
</activity>
<receiver
android:name="importedproject.path.BBReceiver"
android:exported="true" >
<intent-filter>
<action android:name="com.android.vending.INSTALL_REFERRER" />
</intent-filter>
</receiver>
</application>
</manifest>
And the manifest of the imported android library is:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<manifest xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
package="importedproject.path"
android:versionCode="1"
android:versionName="1.0" >
<uses-sdk
android:minSdkVersion="8"
android:targetSdkVersion="19" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE" />
<application
android:allowBackup="true"
android:icon="#drawable/ic_launcher"
android:label="#string/app_name"
android:theme="#style/AppTheme" >
<activity
android:name="importedproject.path.MainActivity"
android:label="#string/app_name" >
<intent-filter>
<action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" />
<category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" />
</intent-filter>
</activity>
</application>
</manifest>
Am i missing something? thank you.

Android Manifest no launcher found

Im working on android map API and I got it working. The problem is when add a new activity (.ListActivity) and make it my Launcher the console is giving me an error "No Launcher found". Here is my code...
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<manifest xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
package="com.example.themap"
android:versionCode="1"
android:versionName="1.0" >
<uses-sdk
android:minSdkVersion="14"
android:targetSdkVersion="17" />
<permission
android:name="com.example.themap.permission.MAPS_RECEIVE"
android:protectionLevel="signature" />
<uses-permission android:name="com.example.themap.permission.MAPS_RECEIVE" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE" />
<uses-permission android:name="com.google.android.providers.gsf.permission.READ_GSERVICES" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION" />
<uses-feature
android:glEsVersion="0x00020000"
android:required="true" />
<application
android:allowBackup="true"
android:icon="#drawable/ic_launcher"
android:label="#string/app_name"
android:theme="#style/AppTheme" >
<meta-data
android:name="com.google.android.maps.v2.API_KEY"
android:value="my_key" />
<activity
android:name="com.example.themap.MainActivity"
android:label="#string/app_name" >
<intent-filter>
<action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" />
<category android:name="android.intent.category.DEFAULT" />
</intent-filter>
</activity>
<activity
android:name="com.example.themap.ListActivity"
android:label="#string/title_activity_list" >
<action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" />
<category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" />
</activity>
</application>
It has to be in an intent-filter together with the MAIN.
<activity
android:name="com.example.themap.ListActivity"
android:label="#string/title_activity_list" >
<intent-filter>
<action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" />
<category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" />
</intent-filter>
</activity>
In your second activity addition you forgot to add intent-filter tags. that is why you are getting the error.
Change your xml file second activity addition as below.
<activity
android:name="com.example.themap.ListActivity"
android:label="#string/title_activity_list" >
<intent-filter>
<action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" />
<category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" />
</intent-filter>
</activity>
tag is missing in com.example.themap.ListActivity
Also you have more than one android.intent.action.MAIN defined
This is defined in both your activities
Refer - http://developer.android.com/reference/android/content/Intent.html#ACTION_MAIN
