How to Display Badges with Menu Items that are displayed in the overflow menu

I am Working on Android Menu Items. I can able to add Badges with the Items that are displayed in the Action Bar .But i want to show the same Badges with the Overflow Menu Items. Is there any solutions to Add Badges to Menu Items in overflow menu Like the Sample Image and
Any help would greatly appreciated..!!!

Here badge_layout is you menu item layout with the badge.

If you want to use item tags and do this,as an alternative way you can tryBackgroundColorSpan and write the logic to reformat of the length of your strings.

Set Popup menu to full screen

Note : This is popup menu not popup window.So I request you all to read carefully.
I have implemented pop menu. It is displaying in half of the screen. I want to spread this to entire width of device. I tried to change its style by setting layout_width as match_parent but with no success.
Below is what I tried so far:

P.S : Please don't suggest me to use popup window. This is my last option if nothing work.

I got your question. Instead of modify something use new widget which can easily fulfill your necessary and compatible with newer version.
Google introduce new Material concept as Bottom-Sheet
To use it in android you can use git hub libraries like this.

I don't think you can do that without implementing of your own popup window similar to PopupMenu. If you will check MenuPopupHelper::createPopup:

you will see that size of PopupMenu kind of hardcoded as per display size. So probably easy way is to check PopupMenu related source code and implement something similar, but with sizes which you'd like to have.

Try to set minWidth in your style as below

How can I change popup item width size?

I use popup menu with custom items.Problems like this
Red lines represents to default width size.
but i want custom smaller width size of items(represents red lines).

I need to custom popup menu

Just like you, I tried a lot to change the width of the popup menu but was unsuccessful.
Somehow, I found a solution you might be looking for.
First, instead of using popup menu, I used popup window.
Step1: Making a row layout:

I don't think you can set layout:width in menu, so you might have to create your own view layout. This might help:
