I have an android app that I wrote, that runs perfectley fine on my phone, and a whole lot of others user phones from people who downloaded in in the play store. For some reason the app force closes automatically just on his phone. Here is the error message he sent me:

I am not sure why its failing just on his phone. The phone my friend is using is: HTC One S (ville)
you should add a method in your Activity like this
boolean onItemClick(MenuItem item){
//..your code
return true;
}
And then ,your menu.xml should like this
<menu>
<item .....android:onClick="onItemClick" />
</menu>

I find a good external lib to implement many beautiful Textview animations. The link is this: https://github.com/daimajia/AndroidViewAnimations
I have a problem to implement it. I have imported correctly all 3 libs and I use correctly the function like in the dev's example:
YoYo.with(Techniques.Tada).duration(700).playOn(findViewById(R.id.TextView1));
Eclipse doesn't segnalate me any problem. But when I launch the application, it crashes
p.s. sorry for my bad english, I'm italian :(

I had the same problem. My problem was missing dependency AndroidEasingFunctions-1.0.0. Please make sure all dependencies are included into the project correctly. See https://github.com/daimajia/AndroidViewAnimations.

Still my code code is working in device but the same app in the market don't. Please help me friends...
At last I found the solution for my problem.gtumca-MAC's solution Android update 17 seems incompatible with external Jars worked for me.Created one folder named libs and add my core.jar .Now it's working fine.Thanks all.
Does anyone know what this could possibly mean? Apparently someone else's app caused mine to crash? And it happens to be an app that directly competes with mine:

TenFour I would bet since you are talking about a competing App that there must be some INtent Handling going on that led to this. Maybe the Competitor app was actually trying to do something at the same time your app was trying to do something and they clashed. Without knowing more it's hard to provide a more detailed answer

Here are the things which i don't understand about this error:
Where is it coming from (i don't see any reference to my classes in this trace)?
Does it mean the application shuts down because of this errors?
What is the mechanism by which this error gets logged in market place?
Note : there are no user messages in the error log.
Looks like either it expects a TextView in your layout which is not there, or an item in your list is null. The relevant source is at http://grepcode.com/file/repository.grepcode.com/java/ext/com.google.android/android/2.3.5_r1/android/widget/ArrayAdapter.java#ArrayAdapter.createViewFromResource%28int%2Candroid.view.View%2Candroid.view.ViewGroup%2Cint%29, line 398 corresponds to line 355 on this page.
I'm new in Android development, and my English is awfull.
I have an application with a homescreen widget.
When I start application, in main activity, I can select options for widget (these options are saved to a DB).
Then, I add a Widget, that it have an ImageButton on it, to the homescreen. The click on ImageButton works fine.
If I kill the application activity with some Task Manager, delete the widget, and add it again. The click on ImageButton crash.
Is this normally?
Here you have the error:

Thanks!
You have a NullPointerException on line 130 of your Widget.java file, in the buildUpdate() method of your UpdateService.
