Unable to link LiveCode to Android SDK - android

This is my first question on this forum, i'm really sorry if i missed something that i was unable to find by my multiple search efforts.
I am am using a 16GB Ram Mac upgraded to Maverick 10.9, i have just purchased the Livecode Commercial package (6.5.1-RC-1)
I have successfully linked the IOS SDK to the Mobile Support Preference list.
I've attempted to load the Android SDK without success. :(
When navigating and selecting the Android SDK Folder /Users/macuser/Documents/My LiveCode/adt-bundle-mac-x86_64-20131030/SDK i get the error message:
"The chosen folder is not an Android SDK, please ensure you have installed it correctly and enabled support for Android 2.2 (Froyo)"
I've noticed others have also encountered this, but i've not seen how they solved it :(
In attempt to ensure i have loaded everything, i have followed the steps on this link with success all the way up to and including Starting the Virtual Device Simulator.

Thank you in advance for any guidance on next steps.

I think I've discovered the answer.
The error message was more helpful that i expected.. and i'm feeling pretty foolish! So.. In the Android SDK Manager Dialog Box there's a list of Android versions that you can download. At this time the current version is Android 4.4 (Kit Kat?) but if you don't go all the way back and select the SDK's associated with version 2.2 then the Livecode seems unsatisfied :). Makes total sense.. since it tells you in the error message that it is in fact looking for the Froyo release.
So if this happens to you.. open the Android SDK Manager Dialog box. You can find it in the Android ADT Application under the 'Window' menu item and selecting the 'Android SDK Manager' list item. This will launch the Android SDK Manager dialog box. Then select the Android 2.2 (API 8) folder, check it, accept the license and download it. Then go back to Livecode and link to the SDK Folder /Users/macuser/Documents/My LiveCode/adt-bundle-mac-x86_64-20131030/SDK and no error will be raised. Hope this helps someone that happened to ignore the obvious like me :) -Joe

Android Studio 4.0, can't find LLDB in SDK-manager?

I know there are similar questions but most of them are either incomplete or don't really answer the question at all.
So I just installed Android Studio 4.0 and I need to install LLDB in the SDK Tools tab. However LLDB doesn't show in the list so I can't even select it to download/install:
I'm following a guide that does a fresh install of Android Studio where LLDB shows in the list from the start so I'm not really sure what I have to do to be able to install it?
I've searched around a bit both here and on Google and most answers talk about proxy settings but have incomplete or missing comments. There are no error messages in the SDK Update Sites tab either.
To be clear this is without any open projects since I just installed it and I'm trying to set everything up as according to the guide which is pretty recent from this year. Also I'm on Mac OS Catalina 10.15.4.
I'm sure it's going to turn out to be an easy fix and that I'm just being silly but I really could use some help with this.
According to https://developer.android.com/studio/projects/install-ndk:
LLDB: the debugger Android Studio uses to debug native code. By default, LLDB will be installed alongside Android Studio.

Android Studio select SDK error on trying to run project

I am using Android Studio 3.1 on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. I'm currently working on a project with target API 28. I've downloaded the SDK with API level 28 during installation but sometimes when I try to run my project on my device, a popup dialogue prompts me to select the SDK. This does not happen every time but happens sometimes even if I've run the project before and made no change to the SDK path. I don't know what triggers this. I've seen similar questions on StackOverflow, but none of the solutions work for me. Here's what I have done so far:
Synced my project
Invalidated cache and restart
closed my project and opened it again
Uninstalled my SDK and downloaded it again
Switched back to an older version of SDK and then back again
But none of this works and the only workaround I found was to open another project that I downloaded from Github (with API 26), build it and then go back to my current project. This solves it temporarily. A few of my friends are working on the same project on different machines (Windows, Mac) and they have this problem, too.
Is this a bug with AS or is there a permanent solution?
File->Settings->Android SDk.
If already was there in your system set the path to that otherwise download the SDK from SDK tools by selecting specific name.
I've found this workaround. It is not perfect, but it works. Hope this this will be helpful for someone else.
Move your project folder to another location and then open it. It resolves the problem.

Basic Xamarin Android SDK Issue

I've never struggled with anything in programming as much as this Xamarin installation, unbelievably flakey. I've got my environment (VS 2015 Enterprise) to a point whereby I can spin up a new Blank App (Android) but the designer requires a newer version of the Android SDK (apparently):
I've only just installed the latest Android Studio, so I can confirm (in Xamarin settings) I'm pointing to the correct path for the SDK (in AppData/Local etc.)
On opening the SDK manager I can see the latest SDK tools is installed.
Please note: I've also tried running the SDK manager independently of VS (and as admin).
Never had this much trouble trying to get something installed and configured. Any help MASSIVELY appreciated.
Whoever helps me crack this gets a massive bounty.
EDIT:
Found this in the logs, fairly certain this is the issue:
Xamarin.VisualStudio.Android.MonoAndroidDesignerPane Error: 0 : [2016-09-22 16:36:54.2716] System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

EDIT
Bounty is for Jon when it allows me to award it. This issue has already been resolved.
Try to delete your obj/bin folders as it seems you might have an AndroidSdksCache holding the old version. Specifically look for a file here obj\Debug\sdks.cache.
The second note is that you have build-tools 23.0.0 installed. Please uninstall that version and any other old version and install 24.0.2.
It shows the current directory as being C:\sdk1\ when the referenced SDK version is different in your screenshot. You will need to update C:\sdk1\ to the latest Android SDK Tools.
I think that can be many things.
1) some time your user name in your PC if have character specials like accents or spaces. Make problems with the VS.
2) you need check if you install Visual studio Emulator android. After donwload a device and check the api that have that device.
Windows 8 or windows 10 pro.
https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/features/msft-android-emulator-vs.aspx
DonĀ“t use the generic emulator. If you dont know how configure.
3)Make sure that you have install Xamarin correctly in your VS.
Tool -> options -> Xamarin
you need watch all the green check.
if the android dont have the green check. Search the route when you have install the sdk. For example watch the image. My root for example
Let me know if this solve your problem. Regards.

Starting Android Learning

Recently i've started android training, and i've got the below 2 issues.
In my desktop i already had eclipse installed, and when trying to import the android plugins, I was getting some error, so what i did was downloaded eclipse+android package from android developers website and I copied it onto my programs files folder where java is installed and when i open it, it is throwing me an error saying the javaw is not found, goinf through the earlier posts on SO website, i've tried the below.
-vm
\adding the java path
But this didn't work for me. so what i did was installed the same package in my laptop(there is no another eclipse on my laptop). and it started working fine.
On my laptop in the eclipse+android package i write a program and when i hit the Android virtual device manager, it asks me to create a AVD, and when i've filled the entire data here, the OK button is still greyed out. Below is the screenshot.
Also i've tried to create by creating from Device definition, even here i'm not getting the ok button hoghlighted and below is its screenshot
please let me know how can i fix the above issues.
Thanks
Firstly you need not wonder for such a mess ..
For IDE purpose .. go to this link .. https://developer.android.com/sdk/installing/studio.html
Android Studio IDE contains all you need .. Just download ..extract and start creating your first Android project.
And now for tutorials to learn .. try these site ..
(1) https://buckysroom.org/videos.php?cat=6 ( Travis ... provide best tutorial in this world )
(2) https://developer.android.com/index.html
Now you are good to go ..
You can see it clearly says: "CPU/ABI: No system images installed for this target"
So either:
Lower your target.
Update your SDK.
Then set a CPU and you can go on in the AVD creation process.
update the sdk, install ARM/intel(x86) for CPU/ABI
Try using Android Studio by IntelliJ ,as it is for more better than eclipse and moreover ADT plugin for Eclipse is no longer in active development.
if you then also get the same error again try this link android Developer and setup java environment.

Missing all SDK Platforms

Couple of weeks ago I was working on android application. Everything was working fine. I have updated my eclipse with all the versions of android sdk. Starting from 1.* to 4.0.3. Today I opened my project to make some changes in that. And I found only 4.0.3 platform. And all my projects have hundreds of errors even my AVD is showing with red cross on it.
Can any one please tell me what is it? How come I miss my all installed sdk platforms?
Thanks in advance.
If you accidentally deleted the Android SDK folder it would stop all your code fro working. Try resetting up you path. In eclipse go to Window -> Preferences -> Android. Then browse to the SDK folder in the SDK location target textbox.
