android app with Google analytics on blackerry 10 devices - android

I have an android app with Google-analytics integrated. Recently, i ported it for Blackberry10 devices and is currently there on both Playstore and Blackberry world. Now, how do i know from the analytics reports about the blackberry devices running my app. In the analytics report, for devices it shows a row in devices an "Not Set". I did not make any changes for porting my app to blackberry except the mandatory changes in the manifest.
Can anyone please give some suggestions.

The following would allow you to verify inside your app to see whether it's a BlackBerry or another Android device running your app (taken from BB Developer site):
java.lang.System.getProperty("os.name").equals("qnx")
Unfortunately I am not sure what properties Google Analytics uses for its device information.

Huawei app doesn't show app gallery event its state released

My Region is Turkey ( our app support turkey, i checked from developer
console )

so what is the problem why can't i show my app on huawei app gallery via my phone ?
also if i click the market url of my app via my phone it opens my app on app gallery but the install button is disabled.
Can you help me about this issue, thank you very much.
Seems to be you can install app on devices with GMS. So it looks like that you app has google libs and doesn't have Huawei libs and it's published in AppGallery in state, that allows to install app only for users with google services.
So you must upload version with Huawei services integrated as without them app can't work on devices without google services.
Your Huawei Y6P (MED-LX9N) phone do not have Google Mobile Services/GMS (aka Google Play Services) but Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) only . Huawei phones released after May 2019 do not have GMS installed. The legacy Huawei phones have both GMS & HMS.
Most likely your app has strong dependency on GMS SDK and services and may negatively affect user experience so it was hidden from newer phones with HMS-only. It is available on legacy phones because those phones have GMS.
To make it available on HMS-only phone AppGallery, you need to integrate HMS Core and replace the GMS dependency. You can use HMS Toolkit to scan your project and convert it into HMS app, or a G+H app (GMS+HMS).
There are also several app release strategies, you can take a look:

app restriction can’t be retrieved with the RestrictionsManager.getApplicationRestrictions in Android

I'm following the google documentation for how to get the application restriction:
https://developer.android.com/reference/android/content/RestrictionsManager.html
https://developer.android.com/work/managed-configurations.html#define_restrictions
I've created a simple app in the link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3W27jXj1LJyNmNtWUtJQ3BhcXc/view?usp=sharing
I debugged with samsung galaxy note4 with android OS version of 5.1.1 which is enrolled with Android for Work in google’s page. The current problems are:
app restriction can’t be retrieved with the RestrictionsManager.getApplicationRestrictions
“ACTION_APPLICATION_RESTRICTIONS_CHANGED” can’t be received.
Is there any problem in my code? Does anyone successfully get the application restrictions?

Send Notifications to Blackberry Hub from Android App

How do I send and handle notifications from an Android app in the BlackBerry hub? I am using the Android runtime on BlackBerry 10. It does not work out of the box if I use Android notifications the regular way.
I was at the BlackBerry mini jam in Hamburg yesterday, November 27th, 2012. The marketing guy responsible for the Android runtime said there are definitely apps which are able to do this, however he could not provide me with details on how to do so.
If you have a dev alpha device try flashing it with beta 4 which includes support for C2DM (push notifications).
https://developer.blackberry.com/blackberry10devalphas/update
If using the simulator, just download the latest version of the simulator.
https://developer.blackberry.com/develop/simulator/index.html
According to RIM Support a working release of the Blackberry Hub should be included since BB 10 10.0.9.2264 (I am on 10.9.9.339 which might be the problem)

Unable to download application from Google Play [Even though the said application was developed on the same device]

I have developed and published an Android application on the Android market. The phone I used for developing this is a Samsung Galaxy running Android 2.3.
On Google Play, it does not allow me to download the app to the above phone, saying that the phone is not eligible.
What could be the cause of this ? It gets downloaded to other devices, that even run Android 2.2 so it can't be an issue with the Manifest.
The manifest can define other limitations (other than min version). For example screen size, density, required hardware and more.
The developer can also define some filters in the developer console.
So probably one of those options are filtering out your device.

Is development with Google Maps possible on an Archos 101 tablet

I am working on a project which requires the use of Google Maps and is aimed for tablet PCs running the Android OS. We have purchased an Archos 101 Internet Tablet to test our implementation, but what I have quickly noticed is that any application that I install which uses Google Maps immediately crashes on startup (throwing a ClassNotFoundException on the class which extends MapActivity). I then learned that Archos is not a "Google-certified" device and apparently does not support the Google Maps API.
I understand that we may need to acquire a Tablet which is confirmed to work with Google APIs for Android.
I wanted to know if anyone has ever tried to develop a Google Maps application on one of these tablets?
As a follow up, what tablet would you suggest for developing a Google Maps application?
EDIT: I have tested the same implementation successfully on both the Android Emulator and a Nexus One phone. I want to stress that the issue seems to be the lack of support for Google Maps on the Archos 101 tablet. Also, this is just a prototype, and we are not developing anything for the market quite yet, so the workaround is acceptable in this case.
I wanted to know if anyone has ever tried to develop a Google Maps application on one of these tablets?
ARCHOS tablets do not have Google Maps, and so you cannot develop apps that use the Google Maps add-on using those tablets. You can, however, display classic Web-based Google Maps in a WebView or something.
As a follow up, what tablet would you suggest for developing a Google Maps application?
Any tablet that legitimately has Google Maps and the Android Market. If you have an Android Market developer account, if the device shows up in the filter-out-these-devices list, then it legitimately has the Android Market.
I'd seriously consider a Honeycomb tablet, as that will be the OS flavor that most tablet devices will be running in the future.
Despite all the research I had been doing pointing to the conclusion that this was impossible, my peers persisted, and I did end up finding a workaround that I thought I should share.
I found a package which installs the necessary components onto the Archos for it to support Google Apps functionality. The version I used can be downloaded here.
After installing the apk using adb install, I ran the app and clicked "Install only core apps". After rebooting, I tried to run my Google Maps program again, and it worked.
EDIT: This "workaround" may no longer be valid as the link to the package has been taken down. Try searching Google Apps Installer for Android (version number).
