Is there any way to activity remebers the counting, because when you start the app, you click the button which random generates an image from drawable, and it doesn't let user to press that button for 30 secs.. the problem now is that when you are waiting for counter go to 0 you can easily press option menu, click settings and click "povratak" ,which starts activity all over again and the counter losses its point because user can now again press button that generates image (and I dont want that):/

And if there is possible , show me your answers in code format, cause english is not my native language and often I don't understand what you guys mean :)
What you can do is inside the onPause() method store the current value of the timer in the SharedPreferences. When your app resumes in onResume(), you can get that value again, and if it exists start from that.

Because the ArrayAdapter<String> need an TextView to show value, you can see the implement code of ArrayAdapter getView method. However your list layout is so complicated as the input. So you can choose one of these options below:
Try to change R.layout.list to
android.R.layout.simple_list_item_1 and test again
Create
YourCustomAdapterClass extends ArrayAdapter and figure out the
TextView in getView() method. Sample from here
CreateYourCustomAdapterClass extends BaseAdapter. Sample from here
Update code:
protected void onListItemClick(ListView list, View view, int position, long id) {
try {
mp.reset();
mp.setDataSource(SD_PATH + voice.get(position));
mp.prepare();
mp.start();
} catch (IOException e) {
Log.v(getString(R.string.app_name), e.getMessage());
}
}
private void updatePlayList() {
File home = new File(SD_PATH);
File[] fileList = home.listFiles(new mp3filter());
if (fileList.length > 0) {
for (File file : fileList) {
voice.add(file.getName());
}
}
ArrayAdapter<String> voiceList = new ArrayAdapter<String>(this, android.R.layout.simple_list_item_1, voice);
setListAdapter(voiceList);
}

I just figured to re-create the app. I dont think it is a wise decision to copy the raw files to another directory and use that.
I have an Android application with a very simple main activity. It only has two buttons, one textview and one edittext field. I launch the main activity (I don't do anything, just launch it from app drawer), then I press home button to get to my home screen, go to settings > appmanager > running > cached background processes and there I see that my app is eating more RAM than other cached background processes, around 8 MB of RAM. Is it normal? Why is it eating more than other apps? This is my code:

So can anyone tell me why is it eating so much RAM? Thanks in advance!
I've got a TimePicker in my app and i want to add above it a CheckBox that if it checked the TimePicker won't work. This is my TimePicker: http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/ui/controls/pickers.html#TimePicker.
How can I do that? I want the timePicker to look the same as the example.
I will put here the entire project also for others to use it if they ever need it:
Short description: A program that let's you get the time set by user and show it in the bottom of the page, after you press Done button.Used intent to get from one activity to another.

Here's an functional example with all your requirements.
Tested and 100% functional :)
Put this in xml:
<RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:paddingBottom="#dimen/activity_vertical_margin"
android:paddingLeft="#dimen/activity_horizontal_margin"
android:paddingRight="#dimen/activity_horizontal_margin"
android:paddingTop="#dimen/activity_vertical_margin"
>
<TextView
android:id="#+id/timer_textview"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:text="Check this to Cancel Alarm"
android:layout_above="#+id/time_picker"
android:layout_toRightOf="#+id/time_picker_checkbox"
/>
<CheckBox
android:id="#+id/time_picker_checkbox"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_above="#+id/time_picker"
/>
<TimePicker
android:id="#+id/time_picker"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_centerInParent="true"
/>
And Here is your java code:
package com.example.chxboxtest;
import android.app.Activity;
import android.os.Bundle;
import android.view.View;
import android.view.View.OnClickListener;
import android.widget.CheckBox;
import android.widget.TimePicker;
import android.widget.Toast;
public class MainActivity extends Activity implements OnClickListener {
private CheckBox cBox;
private TimePicker tPicker;
#Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
initButtons();
}
private void initButtons() {
tPicker = (TimePicker) findViewById(R.id.time_picker);
cBox = (CheckBox) findViewById(R.id.time_picker_checkbox);
cBox.setOnClickListener(this);
}
#Override
public void onClick(View v) {
switch (v.getId()) {
case R.id.time_picker_checkbox: {
if (((CheckBox) v).isChecked()) {
Toast.makeText(this, "Deactivate",Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show();
tPicker.setEnabled(false);
} else {
Toast.makeText(this, "Activate",Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show();
tPicker.setEnabled(true);
}
}
break;
default:
break;
}
}
}
If you want this example in a custom dialog please let me know.

How i can fit to all devices. Can anyone help?? Thanks in advance.
There are couple of possibilities:
use different xml files for different sizes of screen -> check here http://developer.android.com/guide/practices/screens_support.html
you may use scrollview -> http://developer.android.com/reference/android/widget/ScrollView.html
or simply make your layout fit to the smallest screen size you like to support and then just have "a little" unused space on the larger screens.
It really depends on what you need. Probably the most compatible and advanced solution would be 1.
BUT be aware of the fact that EVERY change on the screen layout has to be duplicated for each xml file following this route!
create xml for each device separately. follow this
second way:
create a parent LinearLayout and pass it to the following method
public static boolean isTabletPC(Context context) {
Display display = ((WindowManager) context
.getSystemService(Context.WINDOW_SERVICE)).getDefaultDisplay();
if (display.getWidth() >= 1200) {
isTabletPC = true;
return isTabletPC;
} else {
isTabletPC = false;
return isTabletPC;
}
}
public static void fixUiDeviceDependencies(
Activity act, LinearLayout llParent) {
if (Utilities.isTabletPC(act)) {
Display display = ((WindowManager) act
.getSystemService(Context.WINDOW_SERVICE))
.getDefaultDisplay();
LayoutParams params = (LayoutParams) llParent
.getLayoutParams();
params.width = display.getWidth() / 2;
llParent.setLayoutParams(params);
}
}
