Yesterday my system is force shut-downed unfortunately without saving the eclipse workspace. After that i got this error while opening the graphical view of the android layout files. But no error in xml files. They are perfect working files.
Any help would save my life. I'm struggling more than one day at a tight deadline.
I got this king of error during a maven build in eclipse.
I deleted the contents of directory that eclipse builtin maven use to store downloaded files under
$HOME/.m2/repository
ant executed the clean target and rebuild.
Maybe it holds some stuff for android too.

I'm trying to run a C++ project on Android. The following statement appears in one of the source files (part of a big project).
std::unordered_map <int, std::shared_ptr<Frame>, std::hash<int>, std::equal_to<int>,
Eigen::aligned_allocator< std::pair<const int, std::shared_ptr<Frame> > > > idToKeyFrame;
The NDK build complains the following
sysroot/usr/include/c++/v1/unordered_map:1684:5: error: static_assert failed due to requirement 'is_same<value_type, typename allocator_type::value_type>::value' "Invalid allocator::value_type"
I cannot spot what part of declaration is incompatible. Please help in fixing this error.
cplusplus.com reference
Update
When I modify the allocator (as suggested in comment by Marc) to Eigen::aligned_allocator<std::pair<int, std::shared_ptr<Frame>>> The error message remains the same but line number changes
sysroot/usr/include/c++/v1/unordered_map:854:5: error: static_assert failed due to requirement 'is_same<value_type, typename allocator_type::value_type>::value' "Invalid allocator::value_type"
Update++
According to this answer :
libstdc++ does not static_assert, libstdc++ ignores the exact type of the allocator and rebinds it to the container's value type.
and
Clang/libc++ are not forgiving
Yet another Update
I have been able to go past the error by commenting out the line in the source for unordered_map. This is a resort for now (until I get a solution).
I am trying to implement firebase with xamarin.android but after downloading some nugat packages I started getting different errors and the latest one is as below:

For me the solution was in downgrading version nuget package "Xamarin.Build.Download" to version 4.4
Answering on an old question, but this may help others if they ended up in the same situation as me (not being allowed to modify the version of Xamarin.Build.Download), here's how I fixed it:
I deleted the folders for C:\Users(username)\AppData\Local\Xamarin and C:\Users(username)\AppData\Local\XamarinBuildDownloadCache and rebuilt my solution.
What I found was that evening using the NuGet cache clearing tool in Visual Studio, these directories remained untouched.
I can only surmise that this issue can also be caused by file corruption (I might have had a faulty network connection), and the DownloadCahe blocked attempting to get the "clean" files.
On MacOS I had to wipe all folders concerning Xamarin in "~/Library/Caches". Afterwards it would build fine.
I have 2 problem that I think both of them is for one reason:
When I try to add a new XML layout; that XML fail add successfully but in "Console" show me it:
[2014-05-04 18:41:11 - Example] W/ResourceType( 5804): ResXMLTree_node size 0 is smaller than header size 0x14.
[2014-05-04 18:41:11 - Example] D:\Android\Workspace\Example\res\menu\main.xml:4: error: Error: Resource id cannot be an empty string (at 'actionLayout' with value '#android:layout/').
and I can get resource to it in classes.
In "problem" tab:
Errors: Unparsed aapt error(s)! Check the console for output.
Location: line 1
Type: Android ADT Problem
and I cant solve it
Please same one help me ...
I sorted this out. So for anyone else still on the learning curve with me, the solultion is as noted in my comment. In addition -
aapt = Android Asset Packaging Tool From the Developers Guide - "The Android Asset Packaging Tool (aapt) takes your application resource files, such as the AndroidManifest.xml file and the XML files for your Activities, and compiles them."
The solution for me was simply to delete the error on the 'Problem' window (right click | delete). Then, force a rebuild by rerunning the app. Any remaining problems will now show up and be logged so you can track them down.
Hope this is helpful to others.
I'm getting the error executing aapt :return code 1073741819 due to which
.apk file is not generated how to fix this. How to fix if r.java file is missing
It could be a syntax or formatting error in one of the XML files. I just got this error code (it's actually negative), and I checked all the #string references and they were OK. Eventually I figured out it was because of this item in a menu XML file:
<item
android:id="#+id/action_stop"
android:orderInCategory="100"
android:icon="#drawable/ic_action_stop"
android:showAsAction="ifRoom | withText"
android:title="#string/action_stop"/>
However, the spaces around the | apparently aren't valid (XML isn't Java...). Eclipse didn't catch it as an error, but aapt crashed without giving a reason when it saw it. Not particularly graceful handling, by both Eclipse and aapt. Removing the extra spaces made everything work.
The problem with missing entries in strings.xml apparently produces error code -1073741816, not -1073741819. You have to look closely, but the last digit is different.
I'm not saying the problem is definitely some sort of syntax error. But it's another possibility that could be investigated.
I got this error when I had deleted a #string entry that was being referenced in a menu node xml resource.
I had this error and spent time trying to find a solution.
Finally the solution for this error which is: -1073741819 ( check the digits ) was a library was missing from: Properties -> Android -> Library
I just added the missing libraries and got this error resolved.
I got the same problem. What helped me was changing the Project Build Target
Properties->Android->Project Build Target
I just added Google Play Service Library to my project and when I am making a modification in one of my project files I am keep getting an error dialog from eclipse:
'Running Android Lint' has encountered a problem. Failed.
So, I enabled Error Log (Window -> Show View -> Error Log) tab and I found a warning and an error line:

and a Warning:

My application is working, but it is annoying to close the dialog each time I make an edit and save.
This is a workaround (not exactly the solution). In Window > Preferences > Android > Lint Error Checking, uncheck "When saving files check for errors".
EDIT:
Please use the above steps only if you don't care about linting your code. These steps are for turning off Lint checking, not correcting the reported lint errors.
I would suggest for you to check on the warnings on your project. Resolving them one by one may get rid of the startup error.
