Changing a table row height - android

I'm doing an app that have a tiled UI. I have a problem because I'm using an table layout with 2 table rows inside of it, but, I need to shrink the first row a little bit but I've already tried using padding and margins (android:paddingBottom & android:layout_marginBottom) but I don't get how to shrink the first row to do what I want to do. I attached 2 images that explain better what I want to do, the first one is what I got with the code that I put in here. The second explains better what I want to do.
I have to do a responsive UI so I nor thought to use a fixed android:layout_height.

"center_horizontal is incompatible with attribute gravity...." New to xml and I don't understand what my issue is here

I am trying to make an app that has two buttons side by side, and a number above those buttons (with that whole arrangement being centered vertically on the screen). The end goal is to eventually be able to have multiples of those but for now I just want to get at least one right. Anyway, for some reason I keep getting "failed linking file resources" as well as the error in the title. My code is below

The problem is now, if I have a lot of records in the ListView, the button below disappears and it is not possible to scroll down.
I tried this with a ScrollView, but failed because it is not possible to use that with a ListView.
I want that the buttons below the listview always stay at the bottom and that the ListView is scrollable.
Can somebody please give me a hint?

Change your list view to this:

Display Map (Google API V2) Only on a Specific Area Of Screen

How to have single view fill entire TableRow when other row has multiple rows using TableLayout

Problem is that is still looks like this...
Meaning the button is conforming to the same amount of rows as above. Is there anyway (without switching layout types) to make it fill the entire row?
Also bonus points if you can point me towards how to move the button to the bottom of the screen.

For row to fill entire row and to align your button to the bottom use Linear Layout instead of TableRow and give layout_gravity = "bottom".
