I currently have a program that displays a listview when the user clicks a button. This view takes up the whole screen. How can I (instead of having to press a button to get to the listview) divide the main screen into 2 parts, one being a large listview and two being a few buttons?

so here is problem this list view is working but it is assigning the same images to both ImageView in the row. and if I do +1 as following
imgIconRight.setImageResource(navDrawerItems.get(position+1).getIcon())
then it helps in changing the image view at right side in the row, but the 2nd row repeat the image in its first imageview (I mean the image in the left ImageView of the 2nd row is same as the image in right ImageView of first row.)
So what is a solution of
Repeating images in a rows.
And How can I get each ImageView id and its resourceid of the image so that I can come to know which image has been clicked. And then I can able to set that image into another activity's ImageView. I mean I wanted to know which image has been clicked by the user , so I want to set same image in the ImageView of other activity.

I am trying to make a specific (selected by user) row of a ListView checkbox to become visible. But the problem is,I have dynamically added 10 rows in my list view using class that extends ArrayAdapter and when I select the 1st row then along with my 1st row , 3rd , 5th and so on check box is becoming visible. Similar with 2nd, 4th and so on row.
I just want that particular row (eg position 0) that I selected to show up the check box and rest shoulb be invisible.

on your activity its working because while rendering the adapter view it will reuse the object, so it was happening like that. Now we are checking and updating every time while view rendering.

I want to make a custom ListView with buttons as Items. Now I'm using the OnItemClickListener and for each click, a toast message comes up, but it only comes up, if i press out of the buttons, but in the ListView(see picture)
How can I do it, that the toast comes, if i press on the buttons, not out of them.

IN your Adupter class make two objects for button.
And setonclicklistner for the buttons in adupter view
E.g.

Make a separate onclicklistener for buttons. OnItemclicklistener is for a list item.
Firstly you have to create an xml layout like this.

Here i am getting the value of first text view of custom listview. But i want also the value of second text view. and if i add more then how to get values of that.
